  1. Ahh, when one of our Goldens has to wear one they are more like this:
  2. Best wishes on your Birthday Mike!
  3. Is that closed or open cell foam? The difference between the two types: During manufacture the foams are generated by forming gas bubbles in a liquid base which then begins to set over a short period of time, and the properties of the liquid and gas determines the final foam structure. Closed cell foam – the bubbles are completely encompassed within the liquid and when it sets, the gases are entirely fixed within each individual bubble, creating a structure that is impervious. Open cell foam – the bubbles burst during the foaming process to create and interconnection cellular network. This gives rise to softer and breathable foams (as used in air filters).
  4. My thoughts about AMS are unprintable Dave.
  5. Those are an old design (V1 if you will). If you are sticking with 2.5" diameter exhaust and standard turbos then these are the next generation (v2 super split): https://conceptzperformance.com/labree-super-split-aluminized-divorced-flange-downpipes-4-bolt-2.5-nissan-300zx-90-96-z32-14449-vt104_p_1159.php and in stainless steel: https://conceptzperformance.com/labree-super-split-stainless-steel-divorced-flange-downpipes-4-bolt-2.5-nissan-300zx-twin-turbo-tt-90-96-z32-14449-vt104ss_p_1161.php I have the 5 bolt version in aluminised steel which I will use with JWT 530BB turbos.
  6. I know you are nearer the equator than I am, but that photo is ridiculous! Great news Howard.
  7. Pull your finger out, we want to see her fully dressed!
  8. You can apply for a replacement V5C using a V62. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/application-for-a-vehicle-registration-certificate
  9. It's in the TT.net link Nick.
  10. This strut replacement info may help: http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/main/view/842930/Replacing-worn-Hatch-Sturts-using-the-McMaster-kit.html and (search "9416k22"): https://www.mcmaster.com/#gas-springs/=17wmq7n
  11. You have to ask yourself the question that if the function of this weight was simply a static counter balance why did Nissan go to the trouble and cost of suspending the weight on elasticated rubber supports?
  12. W210s rust badly. This would be my favourite high speed dog transporter:
  13. All coming along very nicely indeed!
  14. I've updated the FSM wiring diagram to include the pin numbers on the relay. el-60.pdf I get power to the fuse and relay, so guessing the switch completes the ground circuit rather than supplies power? Correct, switched GND to pin 2. Now if I ground pin 1 on the relay the fog light comes on, should that be correct? I assume you mean pin 2? If you ground pin 1 you will blow the fuse as it is permanent +12v. With the relay in place, if the rear fog light and the tell-tale light comes on by grounding pin 2 that shows relay is OK and that the "load" side of the circuit is working. The fault is on the switched GND circuit from pin 2 back. E112/M59 to M14 diode pack and then back through the rear fog lamp switch and the lighting switch (in the headlights on position).
  15. If you want to do it on a budget you could always fit a good s/h pair of OEM tension rods - they do exist. It is pretty obvious when they fail (as you have found out). Post a "wanted" advert in the "Zed related - Parts" section on the forum and see if something comes up.
  16. The best aftermarket bushes (using rubber) are Nismo 54476-RS590. Not cheap though.
  17. Can you confirm that you have the headlights switched on?
  18. And here is another that used to belong to Buckaroo Banzai aka Croeso. Not sure of its whereabouts now.
  19. Your car is a UK spec (from a previous post you made)? This is the FSM wiring diagram for the rear fog lamp: el-60.pdf Assuming it is good, does the tell-tail light (under the boost gauge) come on when you press the fog light switch?
  20. He does design great products for the Z32, however the only way I would buy any AshSpec product is through a reputable dealer who actually stocks the product (for example SpecialityZ).
  21. A large part of that will depend on the pads being used and the type of driving you are doing.
  22. Aftermarket high quality performance part for our Z32s soon to be NLA. http://twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2618136/PSA-Mike-Smith-is-Dis-Continuing-his-MSP-manifolds.html If you are planning on buying a set best do it now...
