Try Ryan @ Zedtech in the traders forum. He's doing replacement engines (rebuilt) with warranty. Obviously its not a cheap option, but is a good deal for what you are getting! I can also vouch for his work :)

Another tragic loss, always seems to happen near xmas :( My mates father in law died saturday, a friend was buried today due to a heart attack (age 39!), wtf is going on!? Things like this kinda change my views on life at times, just make the most of it because you never know....& take care.

Mine was like that mate, just not quite as bad! Drain, flush & renew oil, use dexron 111 oil. Have a new oil pan gasket ready too. Mine is fine now, just really gacked up...& the oil was still red!

Have a look on http://www.300zx.org.uk theres pretty much everything you need to know about a zed on there, including a link to removing & cleaning the headlights.....somewhere! HTH.... ;)

I presume yours is an import? do a search on headlight upgrades, there is one which involves fitting an extra wire to enable you to use uk spec bulbs of a higher wattage. I did this and the lights were noticably brighter, but the car wouldn't tick over properly at all, seemed to zap all the power :confused: Put the normal jap spec bulbs back in, & all is fine, just can't see shit! failing that, there was a group buy in the traders forum a while back for hid lights. You have to be a subscribed member to take part in group buys though ;) Try http://www.elta.co.uk for j-spec bulbs, you'll have problems trying to source them through halfords etc!

Seen this at the reading meet, theres 3 of 'em...that z, a supra & an rx7. All in the same condition too! Dont do it cos, its awful :x:

I always let mine idle for about ten minutes before driving, even then it still feels sluggish for a few miles. Always wait for the water temp/oil pressure to get to the correct levels before any sort of 'boost'.

I owned a mk3 supra turbo, auto. Own a zed tt, auto. There is no comparison between the two, the zed will whoop it easily. you only have to park the two side by side in a car park, the zed will already have won! ;)

I've just added a 2nd car to my policy with houghtons, the z is now in classic status (5k per annum). Added a 1.6 astra, n-reg as a daily driver. Cost £600 for the pair f/c. ;)

Whether its right or wrong doesn't seem to come into it anymore. The majority of coppers i have met seem to be complete tossers, always have a chip on their shoulder and a point to prove. Not too sure really, is a nickname of mine. My mate's started calling me it when i was racing motocross, something to do with my uncanny ability of 'getting off' the bike when i wasn't s'posed to! I've dnf'd more races than i've had hot dinners! Although what this has to do with sideshowbob..... i don't know!

Spotted a grey z on the a34 Nr oxford this morning, think the plate was g*** ejh? had a fog light bolted to the rear bumper, and an aftermarket front end.
