The det sensor is at the back of the engine, so pretty much impossible to clean it up. Could well be that it is gacked up. Here is a link to bypass the det sensor http://zhome.com/ZCMnL/PICS/detonationSensor/detonationSensor.html However...if you do this, you will loose the sensor altogether, meaning that if it ever does det for real, it will not go into safety boost! The choice is yours, although as said before... just resetting the ecu/disconnecting the battery may cure it.

lol, i installed it last week, has completely fooked my laptop, apparantly this is common? A mate of mine has spent close to 8hrs trying to un-install it, to no avail. Probably gonna have to rebuild it now :mad: Am having to use my dads pc now :( I'll think twice before installing these so-called 'upgrades' in future.

Has anyone got a link to changing the power steering pump? Mine decided to 'let go' on thursday night half way round a roundabout! :eek: Dumped all the fluid on the road too. Having looked at what i can see of the pump, it looks like a b*stard of a job! :mad: Would it be advisable to change the cambelt/ancilleries aswell while i'm down there? Any help much appreciated.....Simon ;)

Unlucky Al, i got had last friday by a copper with a speed gun, 45 in a 30 :x: (3 pts £60!), went to produce my docs earlier, realising i had my wallet stolen about a year ago, i therefore had no licence to produce ( haven't needed it till now, forgot all about it!), explained the situation to the desk sergeant, who then read me my rights! Seems its gonna have to be dealt with by a court now. Have applied for a another licence, but it seems its too little, too late! Gonna have to bite the bullet & probably pay another fine on top of the £60!! The thing that really pisses me off is....my ex-wife regularly drives around with no mot, tax, insurance, licence. She's been banned from driving about 3 times now. The police know she's driving illegally, but nothing happens! She even carries her kids about in the car too! My daughter is 14 now, she knows not to get in a car with her mum... What a shitty situation to be in, cant even get a lift from your mum! But i s'pose thats life! Hey Ho...back to work!
