  1. I think there is more bolts than that? 2 either side, and maybe 4 along the back, but some could be clips, might be wrong... when i took mine off, it took an un-nerving amount of brute force, but i double checked everything had been undone and gave it the beans, and I flew backwards with a spoiler in my hands and banged my head on a shelf.
  2. hahahaha, it does look sooooo much better smooth, I took funksi's advice, and as I was getting both bumpers sprayed, smoothed it off, massive improvement, cheers funkster...
  3. have heard a few things on here about em arriving with pin holes in em and things...
  4. have you had a meter on them to see if there is any voltage or owt? judging by the tie-rap, they don't look original, pretty sure I haven't got them on mine...
  5. Are they not the feed to you under-car neons? ;)
  6. When I did my manual conversion, I put the spring clip that holds the clutch fork in place to the input shaft, the wrong way round, it was fine for a bit, but then did nowt as half the clutch fork had slipped off....
  7. what about the gunk that sticks the two halfs of the light assembly together? Will have another set of lights next week, the last ones I modded, one was letting water in, (the other I dropped, b*stard) Just want to make sure they seal and stick together as good as possible....
  8. Oreet folks, I'm after some of that black skanky stuff that's used to hold the lights together and to seal em on the car, would like to get the same stuff with the same properties as originally used if poss, anyone know a brand name? Cheers... Tude.
  9. I feel ya matey, I lost my brother and best friend late last year, Foster, the most intelligent, loving and human dog I've ever known, 9 years old, I rescued him too as a tiny pup from a bunch of scrots beating him with sticks. Little did I know he would turn out to be a 9 stone grissley bear! But as gentle and affectionate as could be. Your pics brought a good few tears matey, remember the quality times, it's a sad but true fact, dogs just don't live long enough... RIP Cassie....
  10. in the words of bernard matthews, 'BOOOOOTIFULL'
  11. Keep it pal, age is just a number, if i saw a 100 year old chap falling to bits struggling to pour his frail body out of a Zed, I would have nothing but respect! My Dad is nearly 63, and he is wetting his pants (not because of his age) to drive mine as soon as she's ready! It's up to you, but a nice pretty standard Zed in my eyes, is anything BUT a boy racer car, it is a connoisseur's car...
  12. do your gauges fit tho? i'm only asking because I have 52mm gauges, haven't offered them up to it yet, planning to do the same thing as you very soon, was going to buy one of thos din things, maybe not now... I think I heard somewhere that there are a couple of different sized dins, which doesn't make much sense... Let us know how you get on matey...

  16. i would imagine although i don't know, that it switches the live, as it activates the boot light...
  17. they are pretty awkward to get to, but if you take everything else you can possibly get off, including the main plenum bolts, you can lift it a little bit, which does help quite a bit, i think i lifted it as much as i could, then wedged a bit of wood somewhere to keep it there whilst i tackled those pipes... hth.
  18. might reply, if she's got big nockers, might give it a whirl :) I guess some numptys must fall for it, as the old saying goes, 'there's one born every minute...'

  21. yeah, they do use a lot of air, unless you've got a big jocky compressor, you'll find it isn't much use... my air sander is like that, can't really use it, the air in my garage is really rough, need a bigger compressor...
