im really happy for the wrong reasons sort of!
ill explane. i just got my agreed value under written buy the insurance company and its come back with the value i asked for. not only did i send some craking pics but also all the copys of paperwork that whats been done and were and all the history ect .So at least if it does get trashed ill still be right back here with my cheque book. And know i dont want to wish that one up but its worth an 15 pound admin fee for peace of mind. and i know on here have recently had some bad luck and i nearly didnt put this thread up because i sort of felt bad, and i shoulnt but then i thought no, theres the reason i did. and thats the reason i did. So next time you get insurance on your pride and joy that u value more than your left fore finger then dont let some simple minded moment of madness or carlessness ruining your dreams and fun run ,your pride and joy.

bleeding brake ideaa to try out.
Ive had a hard time getting a firm peddle when bleedidg my bakes . now someone at work said to me after you done all four corners when you bleed the abs unit do not put your foot right down to the floor only a couple of inches 2.5 at the most then try this a few times and that should resolve the problem. thought id share that info withyou and ill be letting you know if it works.

can a misfire or back fire in the system trigger saftey boost
i dont know much but as i ubderstand it but i could be wrong. detonation is when you have unburnt fuel left in the combustion chamber for what ever reason then when the next cycle of stoke/combustion takes place the unburn fuel egnights before the norm clyle takes place millisecound before. so if you amagine you have two explotions in a container/area when your only ment to have one bang. but now you have two one after the other, out of the timming cycle and the bang or explosion if you like collides with the norm explosion and clash in the same space ,the top of the piston the combution chamber. this collisin of explostion if you like is called dett or detonation. and can be caused buy many issuses. and if you have it will cause if working correctly the knock sensor should pick it up and if left to carry on could if to lean melt a piston or do some serious damage anyway to your engine. weather you get a secounary bang in the exhaust system is as first thought ,well if something making loud bang then something surely burning out of sinck i would have thought. sorry for my crap spelling. hope this helps.

whos on here running an after market fuel pressures regulator ? and if so did they put it on, and what psi pressure with what sup mods.?

300ZX Won't REV past 5000 RPM
so what would be external issues with this unit to look out for and if youve had a recent cam belt then the problem would seem to be even harder to dignose i guess. might invest in a spare new unit. might save a lot of troble in the future should i need it.

prop a pipe of some were as you herd the pope and the speed you were potentaly traverling under 14psi the poping noise proberly seemed like it came from the back as your ears already passed the noise at 90 mph. your now in safety mode.

brake bleeding q
im seating here in my tin box and just had a idea about me brake problem. the cars being seating here for years before i got to finishing it and as now you know im thinking what if the rubber hoses that gofrom the caliper to the copper pie may be soft old and expand under pressure. will this be enough movement in an old hose to make a peddal feel soft and spongy? may need to buy some braided lines to get rid of this thorey. anyone know the best for money to get for the 300?

Auto to Manual implications
chage the log book because it is a point were if an enineer were to say something when and only if the worse happened you dont want not to get paid out. it dosnt cost anything. likewise i cant remember who but there is someone on here who didnt get paid out on there insurance when there car went up in flames and the insuranec company didnt payout becuase he changed his front seats for after market jobbies.there is a part on the insurance form were it states any modifications followed by another box asking you when. When you insuring your car. have this modificatiobs done whilst you owned the car. if you put no then you wont get pepole all over it. if you tick yes you havr the risk of engineers reports and higher premiumes.

can you explane a bit more for me the thicko who cant see what pics you have up. You say you had a poor bearing and had to get from japan? what bearing is this ?did you buy your rear end in bits then assemble or was the bearing just shot ?

surley why would you want a seperate switch cas if was fogy then surely you would hace your dipped beam on as well wont you, dame im cofused again.

well got all the bits lined up and ready to go soonish before exmas ,now just got to work out how much weight is this little lot is on a 4x5 pallet? N.A subframe. N.A diff All wishbone arms wheel hubs inc bearings half sharts (Diff to wheel shafts) Rear half of prop and the YOLK ( to bolt up to the front half of my TT PROP. and relivant nuts and bolts. NA pump and braket na pas pot. what do you recon around the 150 160 kilo / just need a rough guilde for a courior?
