  2. coincidence that yesterday I was asked the same question by another customer here in Australia who also noticed the groove and oil holes were slightly offset on the OE bearing and the ACL one was central. We obtained an OE bearing and find that the groove/oil holes were 1mm offset THAT surley should have rang alarm bells to say we will investigate and heres a full refund for your parts and if you are going to use then we surjest you do or try this. the word sorry should hace also been inthere and will will inform you of further testing and any developments. or is all my customer service skills out of date. 26 11 13
  3. You had chance yet to test it yet? has it all gone to plan? what would you have done differently if atall. im intrested in all your views that have done this conversion. did you do or did you help, any pitfalls i should know about.cheers.
  4. right ive now got a load of buly bits to transport from shrewsbury shropshire to norwicn norfolk. they should be on a pallet i think is properyl best with all the bits wraped up in shrink wrap/ cling film stuff to stop the stuff rolling of pallet ect. maybe just a thought. the parts should be about 4 foot by 4 foot maybe, its a rear end set up ,diff, shafts . wish bone .hubs ,subframe prop ect ect you get the idea. HAS anyone used or use a reliable courior person or now anybobdy who does this sort of thing. cheers.
  5. were is this yolk at the diff end or in the middle what r we to look for. this is an education for everone whos thinking of doing this.? thanks
  6. dont like the r32 lights but do like the ones with the one single tailight. but i still yet to see the first pic
  7. Can someone list on here please list exactly what is needed to convert a tt rear end to an na rear end. I.E. Do i need the whole prop ect ect. and is it a major job? what im thinking is if also this gets rid of the hicas aswell? So im thinking of getting a rear end with hopefully all the bits i need then i can srtip it down i n the spring have a little hamarite jobby. and replace all the bushes ect before fitting. I dont do long journeys in my zed so a little loss in the higher gear range will be a little gain in the lower gears yes? Thanks now for all your wise wissdon on this.
  8. when i get mine i can take it to a machine shop i use and they can knock up a few from the one im getting then ill just split the cost into how many we all need , dont mind doing that if it helps. ill find out when im home next how much as a guide line price, but im not home until 12 / 13 dec mind.
  9. so what you saying is were it comes into the pot then out again i can deleate all the pipwork upto the pot until i get one and just put a feed out to other one /side iif you know what i mean?
  10. dont bother replacing them its far more better and cheaper to get an elimination kit and deleate this will also get rid of possible other causes that could cause it. your looking around 140 pounds plus labour.
  11. but if you ant got a na pump and pot whatcan you deleate with a elinmination kit. dont you do something to the pot and pump?
  12. ill let you know when i have some working brakes. lol
  13. can someone put up the fist pic cas i can see the secound one but cant see the fist one?
  14. i dont know mate cas i was on the peddal last time. im thinking i might visit a local aquirium shop so i can buy a 20 foot pieace of pipe so it can go back from the bleed nipple were ever on the car to the resiviour and pump away for ages to get any possible air out. i know this is the costly way of doing it but if a garage cant bloody bleed them properly then i guess im on my own so im going to try this it might take a couple of hours but a small price to pay for some brakes a.And i can observe the bubbles as well? just a thought!
  15. im assuming you didnt have an agreed value on your insurance ?
  16. Im just wondering if anyone on here does somthing different to make a hard sure way to bleed the brakes correctly and get a hard pedal. As some might now i spent a week replacing loads of brake pipe but bleed the brakes three time now but cant seem to get a hard pedal. ive hade a new master cylinder fitted by jeff at zed world so im not cocerned that the problem lays there but im just wondered how long dose this process take to do ?how many times do you have to do to get it right and is there any sured fire ways of sorting this out. ive done it in the correct order and including the abs unit. but still cant get a proper pedal. what do you lovely lot do. And if there is anyone in the Norwich area whos done it no probs ill pay you for your time i would just like some proper brakes. bassically to soft and to much travel.? CHEERS
  17. im gutted for you mate and what a nice example im just glad that no body was injurded, i hope you you do sort it with the insurance company. that said what was the damagde or more how do you know its a right off.also if you do manage to sort out the insurance and can get her back to recupe some of your money then if not damaged can i have first dibs on the rear lights and center panle if not trashed. and although i feel bad asking if i dont by tomorow someone esle will . that said really glad your ok. good luck with your house
  18. pos to much opportunity or chance of flex in the pipe and then the brake peddle will disapear to the floof. i think thats why people dont do it.
  19. i got 9 on the front with 235 40 18 then on 10 inch on the back with 275 35 18 but i dont think yourll get away with 275 35 18 on a 8.5 maybe 265
  20. when ypur all fired up,and ready to play, dont surpose you can knock one out for me as well why your there can you? as i cant knock anything up anymore. and ill pay you for your services to? cant wait to get that solid feel you get when once ive had one knoked up. cheers.
