  1. Did anything come of this. Just wondered as a group buy on these (picture below) would work out at about £300 including shipping and tax. SWB Cat back HKS SS
  2. Main reason for high insurance is the rag top.
  3. Must admit I always use Shell though i do use Tescos finest for my Volvo as it seems to like it more.
  4. Neweara can import you a nice 2003 S2000 for about £10K and the group 20 is I suppose thats reflective of it's power to weight ratio. Which is much greater than the 350z. + I don't think any performance car is cheap on parts, but the S2000 is renowned for it's reliability.
  5. I was a wanado at home and that was crap and Orange is even worse. + Because I was an original Wanado Broad Band customer and of course now that broadband speed is much quicker they give all there long standing customers the quicker band speed. Like Fook they do. If I want 3meg or above I have to pay £21 per month, yey if I'm a new customer I can have that for £17. No I'm going for either sky of Virgin. £21 per month + sky TV and £27 permonth with sky sports and as fast as you can recieve dependant on cables and exchange. Its a real nasty laptop and a real nasty little deal they are offering.
  6. Even so the oil companies have posted 300% increacein profits of Petrol sold in the UK. So it's not such a stupid idea.
  7. If your going to have a break from the Zeds I'd go for a Honda S2000 has better power to weight ratio than the Zed, handles like a dream, ultra reliable ,but lacks the presance of the 300. don't go for a lardy Skyline though please.
  8. Hey stop the insults. That is the genuine LEGO racing team colours.
  9. Sure the MAF isn't wet or that it's knackered. Anyone close by who could let you try theirs? Conzult is the easiest and quickest way of finding out, but sounds like a naf MAF.
  10. If I haven't just had enough and booked a last minute holiday I'll come to this one in little Red.
  11. Dave chung is trying to convince me that buckets is the way to go. his have little ajuster cushon fillets that fit in to get it just right for each individual. They do look nice and go well with the SWB. so I might go try a few at Deemon Theives and see what I think. I'm getting on now though and comfort means legs not going dead and being able to stand up straight after a 3 hour drive. Which is why I wouldn't have a sports bike for the road these days. Even in my twenties I couldn't stand up properly after riding straight from Manchester to Newquay none stop.
  12. They are complete rubbish and you would be better with a standard ECU. Which I would be prepared to exchange for your rubbish blitz tosh because I'm a loving caring sort of guy. Blitz never made anything they are just a badge engineer tuning boutique. They buy in good tried and testeds tuff in bulk and have the manufacture brand it Blitz then they charge 20% more than the originals are sold for. So I'd say your ECU is most likely a Mines or something similar. May even be a JWT, but it will be nice and safe with a programable socketed chip. So unless your looking to up the boost or something i'd stick with it.
  13. Or get a mate to stick his fingers between wheel and wheel hub and then tighten nuts till wheel fits nicely in arch or till you cannot bear his screaming. Then remove wheel and measure thinkness of his fingers before swelling starts. This will give you rhe spacer size required and make sure your mate keeps his hands of your bird and understand what would happen to his nob if he doesn't.
  14. Are they bucket or reclining sports seats? I was looking at a reclining sports seat that would be lighter and still comfy. I've even bean offered some Leather Corbeau style seats that are very good quality, but they weigh 18kg each as they have steel frames, forward tilt, with little leaver top of sides of the backs and come complete with slide and tilt runners for the 300. He want £250 and they are as new but I'm unsure wether to go for them or not.
  15. What is the weight of the standard Zed front seats???
  16. As all have said Glad your still with us and repairable which is more than can be said for the car. Which has done it's job and crumpled in the right places so you didn't crumple in the wrong places. Get well soon and remember anything from here on in is a bonus.
  17. It's like my wifes cousins relating a story from when they were at Gerades School in Near Dublin. They'd been asked about pet names their parents gave them. So when it came the then little boy he replied. "My mother says we're real little bast*rds". Skylines are over rated saloon cars for people who carn't drive. Had a R33 GTR for 6 weeks and would never have another. I'd rather have a MR2 which is far more involving and entertaining to drive even if they are for Girls, Panzies and hairdressers.
  18. The manual box from the NA is the same as the TT (Same part number) only the bellhousing is different as the NA flywheel is 4mm smaller diameter. The Prop and diff of the NA is smaller and lighter with a lower ratio to final drive so if you do get the box from a NA with the TT front half of the prop to run your existing diff, you'd need the TT speed sensor.
  19. VVTC selonoides shown in pics. Also make sure you have replaced the Half moon rubbers with new ones or they will leak.
  20. That is strange as I stopped using Mobil 1 last year because it seemed go through the PCV's after every serious highspeed righthander which it never used to do. The PCV's were brand new and it never used to happen. Since I've gone to Millers fully synthetic 10 50 or 15 60 it doesn't happen.
  21. Most oils come in a range of viscosity. Mobile 1 ranges from 0 30 to 15 50. Castrol Magnitech also comes in different flavours from 0 40 to 20 50. If I use Mobile 1 I use either 15 40 or 15 50. Using Millers 15 60 at the moment and very pleased with it. I wouldn't run a car with uprated turbos on a semi oil as they break down quicker under high temps.
  22. Had one go on the NS front in the Volvo at 80, I have Perrelli Rosso's on it and even though the face of the tyre destroyed the inner wheel arch the walls and most of the face held together and no real drama. Then like I said on the Zed with the Bridgestone S02's was n't even sure at first. Just been offered a set of Pilots that a guy has tryed on his Porsche and doesn't like for £200. 235's and 265's.
  23. Last week I went down to Somerset to pick up my SWB from Pauls at SWZ (Hope the Wedding went well) as Paul picked it up from they guy I'd bought it off in Torquay. I noticed that it had 4 brand new tyres on of unknown origins. You know what I'm like about tyres and how I bang on about them being the most important upgrade. Well it rained before i got home and it was like driving on ice. They didn't break away violently, but sort of slid slowly and majestic. It really was fun. I'm sure had they been on my TT that it would have been a very different story, but my new NA SWB was opening a whole new style of driving. So with all this rain I have perfected being able to induce the rear to kick out and using opersite lock drive side ways as far as i like and even navigate both right and left handers whilst drifting alone. I was getting to the point of almost advercating cheepo tyres for the NA untill last night. I've have tyres suddenly deflate at high speed, but good tyers will really hold it all together and let you slow down and even get of the motorway. I was Taking Eggy (Alla Chris GetGreddy) over to Bradford Last years and a Strap hook fell of a lorry just as I was passing, and it put a 2 inch hole in my tyre. I wasn't sure at first if it had punchered it and Chris was saying "nor it hasn't, Get ya foot down". We were doing 95 at the time but, I decided to pull off next junction, only to find a 2" hole in it. Well Cheep tyres will kill most people in these circumstances and I'm glad that I'm either a very good driver of a very lucky man. I was coming home from work and there had just been a Three car pile up. They'd all move over to the side of the road but there was bits of metal and glass all over both carriageways. I thought I'd mist it but obviously not. I suddenly felt the steering get very heavy and was just thinking I've got a puncher I'll pull over and bump I Knew the tyre was off the rim. I was doing 70mph and my front OS tyre had just deflated on come off the rim in 2 seconds. I was sawing like mad with the wheel trying to counter the violent direction changes. I missed the barrier in the central reservation twice by inches and eventually got the speed down and under control and nearly crashed with a young woman in a Nova trying to pass me on the inside. I can't believe some people. The tyre had punchered, deflated in about 2 seconds and then where the wall of the tyre meets the tread the tyre had over heated and melted right through leaving the wall in place and the rest of the tyre sliding from one side off the wheel to the other. Chewed my split rims up even more. This could have been really serious and don't happen with good tyres. So my drifting days arn't over, but the cheepo tyres are doffo for the skip
  24. You need a big fat Joint and chill. Do you really think that Black people don't have names for white people and so on. I'll laugh and even retell a good joke wether its about a black fella, a Pakistany, woman, Gay what ever. For heaven sake 40% of all jokes I know start "An English man, Scotts man and Irish fella". Now I don't dislike the Irish and go over to Irland a lot and think their great people. A Joke is a Joke.
  25. Sure I read that in 95 they uprated 3rd and 4th Gear clusters and sincromesh. Pretty much the same as the OS Giken cluster upgrades.
