  1. No you don't if you have a good electric fan instead of the viscus unit. I haven't had an Auxiary fan for about 3 years.
  2. Anyone had this problem????
  3. Hey they arn't all polite up North. You'll be hard pressed to get a wave or a thank you in Manchester and these North Walians are a miserable bunch of *******s on the whole unless they are your mothers, brothers cousins uncle.
  4. Yep I thought shit if Chris C reads this he'll think he's pull if we ever have JAE   You know I'm only joking Chris we all know your KirbZ bitch :slap:
  5. Well I'm glad you cleared that up :slap:
  6. Sounds like the one at Woodford. I think that was still flying till about 12 years ago
  7. I remember three of them taking of in quick succesion as we stopped to have a picnic near an air base in Lincolnshire on the way down to my brothers. They were bloody loud. I also remember them and the Gloster Venums doing air displays at Finingley Air shows (that really gives my age away. There are I believe 5 that are intacked and fired up every so often and the one being made ready for the Faulklands flight is different. There's one at BEA systems at Woodford near Manchester. Me and my kids have been in that one and that fires the engines up as well. They are a beautiful looking thing.
  8. Is the forward Exhaust up to cat back of the SWB NA the same as the LWB NA??
  9. Heater Fan not the auxillary fan? As in blowers
  10. Heater fan not working as in blowers for screan etc., but if I switch auto/aircon on it does. Is it a fuse or a wiring gremlin?
  11. Heater fan not working, but if I switch auto/aircon on it does. Is it a fuse or a wiring gremlin? Sorry chaps this should be a new thread. God know how I've done this.
  12. Hi Dave. Have you run it without cats? I have just collected my SWB NA. It is totally standard apart from a induction and it is so fooking slow. I thought it would be Quicker of the mark and run out of puff, but it is just real slow getting up to speed. It has original exhaust and just feels like it isn't breathing at all as if the cats have colapsed and restrickting it. My Ford Ranger is quicker and I'm not joking. The engine sounds sweet and smooth. Not piston slap, pinking anything. It has had a new clutch resently and the box sounds noisy at low speed but not above 40mph. (think its bean fitted by a muppet and will need replacing maybe even causing performance drop through Drag) I would like to get it running about 260bhp to 280bhp so I can live with it till next spring when I'll be dropping a Chevy V8 in it. Idea is That I sell my TT this summer to pay for Building work, but I couldn't live with it as it is. Need to pick your brains
  13. The heads are twin cam, but being a V 6 it has four cams because it has 2 heads. One Cam belt. Confused??? 60K service is VV springs. Water pump, Thermostate, little rubber water pipes, Oil pump, engine oil, oil filter, Cam belt, pass belt, aircon belt and alternator belt. P.S. I forgot Spark plugs and proberbly something else.
  14. Sounds like a cunning plan. :D I think I might just leave it for another week before I start again after far too long. I haven't been to the Gym since I had mt opperation last year and your post has just worn me out thinking about it.
  15. They the rears. the ET38 seems OK if your running standard arches and want no fouling.
  16. Deemon Theives
  17. Mine Was a Standard Vangaurd diecast Dinky toy. Think it had been my big brothers. I loved that car.
  18. I beat one of them on my pushbike   I really love to blow them into the weeds in my Volvo. That really upsets em.
  19. Standard wheel is 35 offset on Jspec and 30 on UK on the rears. I believe, but if I'm wrong someone will soon put me write. Yep the offset will be affected by the wheel width, but if the wheel supplier is gien the correct original wheel size and offset he will calculate to correct offset.
  20. The proper way yo do it is to get the wheels and then have the arches fitted to the wheels. Are you having an of the shelf kit or a custom maded? Off the shelf will have a set distance that it increases the footprint width. ie the Standard Strosek is 60mm per side. So you could explain to your wheel supplier that the standard offset is 30 and you need to increase the width of the rear wheel foot print by 60mm per side (120 over all) and he should be able to calculate how much he needs to decrease the offset. Then even if it is 5 to 10mm out. Who ever puts your arches on can ajust them to suit your wheels perfectly.
  21. You want to get a 25 offset for the front Standard is 30 ,but 25 fills the wheel arch much better. If you have wide arches then you need to get them calculated up properly or use a standard 30/35 offset and wheel spacer. Which is a pitty if your having them made up.
  22. I don't rate Toyos in the wet at all. They're OK in the dry, but not in same league as Bridgestone S02's or Mitchelin Pilots which have the best grip wet or dry. If your spending all that money on your car then my advices is to put the best rubber you can on it and then you can enjoy more power even in the wet. + The 300zx was designed on Bridgestone tyres and came in the UK with S02's standard fitment.
  23. http://www.whifbitz.co.uk I think thats the link. It is the front bumper of the Evolution Explosion Wide arch kit. Only part of the kit I don't like. It isn't cheep though
  24. how many here have gone the 370 injector rout along with free flow exhaust and induction? I hear what has been said and it is true that reduced back presure will reduce your low end torque slightly but if its top end speed you want then Decating and a good flow in and out of your engine will push the top end speed up. the nack is to get gains across the board. Supercharger would do the trick.
