  1. Don't bother. Spend your money on something that is going to make your car run better or make the engine stronger. Is it really worth it so your car can sound like a lorry. I have dump valves, but only because some tosser selling them convinced me that recircs wouldn't deal with the increase in power I would be running. I've learn't a lot since then. Spend the money on some HID's and some proper tyres. or Uprated brakes. Remember winter is coming and dump valves are as much good to you as a string brolly.
  2. I think it looks very impressive, Though like everyone else I think the rear end is just wrong.
  3. I think if he'd been so cocky and rude he would have realise that he'd broken a couple of ribs in the accident.
  4. I wasn't sure about putting it back in the engine bay or to just keep it on the engine stand as a feature in the lounge. Oh Yes I'm sure I used 19mm bore when I did Get Greddy's. You want the reinforced Samco. The stuff that looks like its bound with tape as it will not kink when its hot.
  5. Hi Mate you have to connect the 2 big silver pipes that come up the back of the engine together. They are the 2 that have a 90 bend to the O/S of the car and both your Matrix hoses from the bulkhead are attached to.
  6. I aint written them off! I was confident they'd do well and they are. I just don't think they are the finished deal yet and that as the season wares on Man Utd and Chelsea will get stronger and Arsenal will have a few wobbles. Thats all.
  7. Gad to hear it after they canceled on him last month. He thought he would have to wait another 6 months. Glad opp went well, but he'll feel alot worse when the bruising comes out. I was fine for the first 2 days just abit sore, but on the third day man it hurt. Right as rain after a week or two.
  8. Be carefull ware you put those internal stickers mate or you'll end up with bad gas. Welcome aboard (officially) glad to see you put you hand in your pocket.
  9. What Amazes me is how normal civilians and Merchant Seamen risked there lives and livelyhoods to get our lads back. That society bonded against German attacks on other contries. Remember Dunkirk happen before the Battle of Britain started and while Rudolf Hess was in England trying to negotiate peace. Yet Our lads are fighting against opressers in Afganistan and Iraq and most people these day don't give a rats. If people behaved then like today we would have agreed peace terms and Hitler would have done a Saddam Husain on the world.
  10. Oh believe it they will be beaten. I do like watching Arsenal though because they do play atractive football, but I don't think they have enough mental depth to prevail through a full season. Still think it's going to be between Chelsea and Man Utd and Arsenal and Liverpool fighting for the best of the rest.
  11. You can really see Beri Ecllestone buying the promotion rights for this one. Certainly give cricket a run for its money.
  12. I get a slight vibration on my Blue Z when cold ever since I had the caster, camber and toe ajustment set up on the front end. It goes as soon as tyres have heat in them and the handleing is very good and Tyre ware is even.
  13. That gas is not good stuff to fook with anyway. Which is why it is sealed I suppose and why people make a good living out of just being auto aircon engineers.
  14. Whats the cost of a retrim like that? What if it was just all door and glove boxand bits card and just some cushon bolsters for bucket sets?
  15. I've had HID's since 03 and since I have bought my SWB NA's I can't believe I live with normal lights for the first 3.5 years of ownership. i'm running a project with these 2 cars. One car will only get bits from ebay and the other I'll sorce bit from reputable places. Just to see how good the stuff is you can get from ebay. So next week I'm fitting a HID set I've bought for £24 from ebay and in a couple of months i'm going to get the 99 incerts and a HID set from Danny and see which is best if any. So far I have bought a Nippon racing clutch and Flywheel (brand new ) for less than the price od the cheepest flywheel I could buy here. I have bought headers and decats etc and the suff has been great quality and fit perfect. So far I've spent less than £500 to up grade my brakes (just remembered need to pay Paul some money) manifolds, decats, racing clutch and flywheel (masive wheight saving) HID's, bottom pulley, short shifter and door speakers. Only been stung on a Alpine head unit. Any way will let you know.
  16. Hi Matey Looking good and welcome to the Forum.
  17. I don't want to worry you, but once they start to fail they will all go. If its just the rubber you really should replace the lot and remove the problem as constant leaks lead the low coolant levels. Which lead to airlocks and presurisation which can puts stress on your head gaskets and all other water hoses. If its the Metal pipe the chances are that the system is full of rust and crap. This is cause by not having enough glycol coolant/antifreeze in system. You'll need to replace all metal and rubber pipes and hope you caught it before the matrix is fooked. You should run the car with a 70% glycol based coolant to 30% water. It stops the electic field in the enginebay from transfereing to the water and rusting everything. If it is the metal pipes be prepare for the matrix to fail and usually shortly afterward the head gaskets.
  18. They are Talking about the crap fuel in the states. They are also saying that the standard 370cc injectors of the pre November 94 cars are also failing. Which is hardly suprising as both the Original Nissan 370's and the Nismo 555's are Sard injectors of the same design. In the UK we don't have this problem and many 1990 TT's and NA are still running around on their original injectors. So don't worry.
  19. It is part of the TB preheater system. It is totally useless unless over here as we don't have such server winters. Mainly designed for the colder regions of the states. I suggest best thing to do is plenum off and do a bypass and get rid of your EGR stuff as well. also a brilliant chance to replace all the 8mm water pipes with new reinforced cylicone and replace your heater matrix pipes. There is a FAQ for doing this I believe or it may be on TTnet (someone will post the link) Its a day job if you ain very ofay, but 3 to 4 hours if you're confident.
  20. I have to say £10k ish Barry unless someone realy wants it. Ask Phil to sell it for you if you want to sell. One of His customers offered me £13.5K last year and I said no.
  21. Remove the headlamp pannel and then as you stand infront of the car look down to your left. Just infront of the Recirc Valves bloted onto the main chasis leg. you'll find a alloy bottle about 7" tall with a connector on the top and an aircon feed and return.
  22. Is it Manifolds or turbo down pipes your after. TT manifolds have to be made from special types of steel usually a inocol alloy and that aint cheep. Because they have to carry the weight of the turbo + they reach incredible temps. So with the turbo vibration and the dramatic expansion and contracsion rates most metals will split and crack. So you you either have to pay vast sums of money for Greg Dupree, Nipon Motorsport or Pentroof manifolds. Or go for a cast type like the Originals or the large boar cast manifolds from Z1 motosport (http://www.z1motorsport.com). If it is just the devorced down pipes and Decats then try DTA or flea bay. P.S. If it is just standard TT manifolds Then try Andy Z in the traders section.
  23. I have a couple of SWB NA's One is a early 90 and has the original Jspec clocks which had KPH on the inside and MPH on the outside. So the car was never changed to MPH as it registered both. It still clockes in Km's. The other is a october 92 with ABS etc and had the 180KPH clocks. These were converted to MPH though it still clocks in Km's, but the power steering is so light it gives no feed back. It's a bit like riding Allybarbers magic carpet. How do i get the power steering sorted. Someone said UK clocks would sort it??
  24. Nice one. I've had this speed alarm driving me nuts on my 2nd SWB NA, but it kicks in at 75mph. The car has got Original Jap clocks with KPH inside and MPH outside so never converted. My other SWB has been converted and the power steering is so light at speed it has no feel, but it don't bing bing all the time. How do i get the power steering sorted. Someone said UK clocks would sort it??
