  1. I thought about Gas convertion for the NA. Thedown side is the weight of the fooking Gas tank.
  2. Anyone Know if these are the same.
  3. Its one of those though Dave where I've seen K reg Jspec and a J reg UK spec that where serise II. The reg is exactly that, the year it was registered not when it was made. (cos I nearly bought the UK car then my mate John said I could buy his 94) The real give away is the aircon/heater having the blower "direction sellection" :nana2: because loads of people have moved the seat belt to the D post and off the door. However I agree with your general synopsis. There were loads of cross over cars as well. I know from the chasis number and date of manufacture my Blue car should have had the later fuel rail and ECU but it didn't.
  4. You have to put a bridging pipe between these two metal pipes. I think the size is either 18 or 22 mm. check out smaller picture of my engine with pipes circled. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=101140
  5. Try Pristine Wheels. If you a search you'll find them. There are two copy cat companies that don't do as good a job so make sure you get the right people. They are based in Milton keynes.
  6. Happy Birthday Mike. Not long before you get that telegram is it :slap:
  7. Are R32 springs the same as the Z32 spring. I know all the camber alinement gear is the same and I've seen aftermarket spring kits saying Z32 and R32 fitment. Want to be sure though.
  8. Don't you think that might have something to do with travelling at 180. "Chris we need to get of the autoban at the next, erm the last junction". :slap: Any way 800 USHP is code for that there be A fooooking fast car boy.
  9. No but I won't be suprised if you get lost fast :slap:   Your obviously going for it there Chris. All I will say is good luck with the project and I hope you have a good sat nav   cos with little lot you be in Russia while were all still getting off the Amsterdam ring road.
  10. I had a Triumph tiger for the fields at 16 and the girls really like that. Now that did vibrate.  + enough of my mates had bikes so getting around during my 5th form wasn't a problem and then within weeks of leaving scholl I was blowing mt mate with the Fizzies into the weeds.
  11. I had a full rebuild kit of Mitch at AMZ, Pistons, rods, studs, Valves, springs, lifters, water pump, oil pump, full gasket set, NA oil squirters PCV's and pipes, cam belt tensioner, cam belt iddlers. The shipping for all that lot was $148.00 All the knock sensors and harnesses + and extra 50K sevice kit etc I got from courtesey and smithy an mjp and even Ryan at Ztech whoooo. :slap:
  12. I always had field bikes and sinc my Birthday was at the begining of September I just waited a month and a half after leaving school and bought a YPVS 7 250 Yamaha. I wouldn't have ever bought a weedy Fizzy or the Frantics.
  13. Just wondering if anyone has had or used Nippart TT discs and if they have had any problems with warpage.
  14. Haven't got a clue. It maybe that you could take the peddle box off and the steering wheel and all the lower dash to do it, but I personally think seats out dash out and easy to see what your at. It is nothing technical just very time consuming.
  15. Cheeky B***h   However I don't think we'll win by that much, but we will win and the cup is staying at home. cos we arn't ready to let it go just yet. Come on England
  16. This is the nylon gears on the motor that operate the flap. You have three motors on the side of the Heater matrix housing. One moves a flap for hot and cold. Another moves a flap to sellect aircon or heater/fresh and finally 1 operates the dirction of air flow. This is the one most likely to will be clicking and sorry to say once it starts it will fail as the clicking is the nylon gears slipping. The eventually their arn't enough good teath to move the flap. Then it will be stuck at either your feet, the Windsreen (not too bad), Screen and feet if your really lucky or if your unlucky at the face blowers. The bad news is that the process of removing these motors from a breaker generally results in the gears getting fooked and do you really want to have your dash out to find you are going to have to do it again. The other bad news is that I recently bought all three motors. the total cost was £575 which means each motor costs about £180. They are all different and not interchangerble. So get it right first time.
  17. They look like SWB side skirts and your car is LWB.
  18. I wouldn't bother with the thermostate. I have one and it is really one an advantage on track days. Other than that it just means your car is running about 70 C.
  19. I think your all jealous. Just because your cars aren't 1000bhp with 600bhp auto and 400 bhp extra with manual. My NA Zed 98245 bhp with a cherry on top and you can buy it for £10,000 as it is worth £58,000 so some one can be lucky and buy cheep. I know car will be good and faster than Ferrari, coz I kill chicken and spred blood on my lucky pigmy's head. Just send paypal to Ruwanda before you collect.
  20. Good post Stu I'll just add in the last bits you've missed though Then you start thinking the car isn't going well and take it to be all set up again. They say the car is the fooking muts what are you talking about. "You must have got used to it". So you read and hear that the yanks are running the same turbos and set up as yours at 18psi so you turn up the wick. Then you notice that your oil temps are getting hotter so its time for a bigger cooler and a complete remote take off and big bore system. Then an even greater volume rad. Then it goes bang. So you think this time I'll have complete fordged internals better fuel rail, even biger turbos etc. You even start dreaming about the thing. Soon you realise that all your credit cards are maxed out, that your spending all your available cash on a car that is now spending more time in someones garage having more go faster bits added and it is months since you actually enjoyed driving it. Stop! Step back and think what you really want. I've decided that after going down this road that I was right in the first place and that £350 RWHP is nice and fast and reliable. That the reason I have kept with my Zeds so long is a lot to do with the people I've met and friends I've made.
  21. Check for a carroded earth by eathing them direct to the chasis
  22. The one in my sig is a Gen 7 TRD and they won't fit.
  23. Which Generation of Celica, because the Gen 7 has a 100 pcd
  24. Hi Paul I can honestly say that I have had very reliable Zeds and that any trouble I've had with Zed's has always been as a result of either accident damage, but most importantly and expensively Via shoddy garages and also after the car has been to body shops. Twice now to body shop and Turbo failed shortly after. I have found 2 good mechanics that I would trust to work on my cars. One is Andy Duff, who is a great guy and a good mechanic who knows these cars. The other is Phil at C & S Wood who IMO is top man because he does it with a cherry on top. I hope Andy doesn't think I'm doing him down and plenty here will testify that I have recomended him and PM'd them with his number.
