  1. Cheeky Git :slap: :nono: There's plenty of nice ladies out there. I hope
  2. I was twice told the same by coppers and have been pulled 3 times sine i had a laminate with the laws and criteria made. Last cpper took it in temper. Got get to make another up. Mine isn't flat it's at an angle. The photo in my sig is taken from very low down. If it's in a car park and your 64 feet away it is very easy to read & that regardless what the patrolman may say is the only legal criteria that determins what angle is has to be.
  3. He's not sitting behind me :slap:
  4. I've painted my Cambelt covers on 2 Zed engines now. You don't want heat resistant pain as it will be an Enamel so wouldn't get the same quality of finish and will have less flex for the movement in the plastic at servicing. You have to rub the plastic cover down with somethong like a 1200 wet and dry paper. Do it wet. if you have any bad gouges etc the will need filling with a bumper filler. The bumper filler kits normally have a plastic bonding coat with it but if not use a clear plastic bumper primer same as you'll before painting the normal primer. once gouges and bad scratches are filled and rubbed down prime all the covers with plastic bumper primer. Don't rub this down. Then prime with a high build primer which will get rid of all the little scratches. Rub this down ready for first coat. The lower metal part with the timng markes on it prime with an etched primer. (any metal bits in engine bay as it will stop it lifting) Then paint using car body paints and finish with car body laqure. Here is my blue cars Cam covers painted and fitted prior to engine install and second picture in after 2 years.
  5. Hi Chris You'll have to get a girlfriend that rides bikes then. Or take your test. You still got the boat? Be good to get that down there.
  6. Jeaze 180mph on the road with people expecting to come across other vehicles doing 60 to 80 mph is totally mindless. Joe public just aren't equiped for objects coming at them at that kind of speed. That is the kind of speeding that needs clamping down on.
  7. Mine has little flaws here and there, minor dimples from previous supermarket carpark wars and the odd stone chip that are magnified to me and the underside has had contact with the deck more than i'd realy have liked, but in general it's very clean. It's the way it drives though that is what always impresses me. I've fitted Tein coil overs, camber arm, tie bars and done a few of the bushes (more to do) on my SWB and it handles very well, but it don't have that new possertiveness that the blue one alway has had even before I did everything I've done to the car.
  8. From what I've seen it looks mint. I've seen a few in pic's on here and thought they loked the dagglies and then in real life they are well rough.
  9. I know that my Blue UK Zed is the newest feeling Zed I've ever driven (I've driven a good few now). It just has that everything is tight and solid feel that a new car has. Having owned three other Zeds. All Jspec 90 92 94 they all seemed looser and worn. My blue Zed also has least signs of age and rusty bits. I have owned it though for 8 years and my friend John owned it for the rest of its life. So the car has alway been pampered. I'm sure that there are Jspec car just as good, but I havent seen them in the fleash, well not yet anyway.
  10. Well My Good Friend Has bought a Hotel in Southern Spain doing just that. They provided you with bed Breakfast, Bike, insurance, fuel and everyday you choose a different bike and go on a tour. Or the Little lady can stay by the pool ot go shopping. They only have about thirty bikes out there at the moment, but there is more to come. So if you have a full bike licence and fancy something different then why not give it a go. You may have to put up with me some time as your guide, but hey you can't have perfection. Here the link to their site http://www.cbtspain.com
  11. Been through this loads. So long as the plate is A) The correct legal size and spacing. (Jspec cars can have Jspec sized plat on front, but it must be 150mm X 300mm and the letters on 2 rows) B) Legible from 64 feet C) Correct lettering design D) On the correct reflective backing ie meets BS Standards. Hence my plate on my blue Zed is legal.
  12. That looks awesome Chris. Where the blazers is it. I'm up for a road trip.
  13. You can never tell a good car from a bad car by price. Recently a Red UK car sold for £8k. It was in A1 condition and only done about 50.000 miles. IMO it was a barging, but there are plent on here that have bought Jspec and UK spec cars for £4K and £5K and had nothing but utter nightmares. The other paid £2500 and got fantastic cars. 8 months ago I personally bought this SWB for £1500 as spares really and it has turned out to be a total peach. So you really need someone who knows Zeds well to go and look at it for you. Be patient and you get a good one eventually. Rush in and you may get bitten.
  14. An Angelic Worrior. This is like Dungens and Dragons we used to place in my Art School days.
  15. After 8 years of Zed ownership I feel like I'm Forty Seven instead of, HOLY MOTHER I AM FORTY SEVEN. I was only sixteen back in 1999. Just shows how Zed ownership ages you, even my eldest son is 19 now.
  16. Hey up Shrimpster That sounds more and more like a Zed then.
  17. She'll be getting on abit as well because that was 28 years ago.
  18. Erm WTF are you lot talking about   Last time I played with Eve her sister caught us at it, but she'd obviously seen something she liked because a week later I was playing the same game with her.
  19. Yep on the 28th of August, but the oil is ready for a change :slap:
  20. Mike smith manifolds and full custom Exhaust system from Leon at Alunox with divorced down pipes
  21. They won't have me back mate  I was possertive they were Chemical wepons silos
  22. Yes but you need electric water pumps and an expantion tank for each new rad. I spent a couple of hours going over this with Nend and Kirbz one night in the Dam and it is a lot of extra weight and plumbing. Surely a Nos Mister on an air cooled IC wouls be lighter and give the extra umph when needed on track days.
  23. Just Checked BazzaJG's specs and his turbos are the JWT530bb's and i actually did a in hand comparison of them to my GT2837RS and they are the exact same turbos. I get no lag with my GT2837RS BB's just smooth through the rev range, but because there is no thump at 3000rpm. To the point it hasn't got the drama and my friend Will thought his chipped Hybrids where as quick, but changed his mind as I disapeared into the distance. It does however fishtail when you drop it into 3rd at 90 and nail it :D :D
  24. I thought I could see it and so I copied the picture and enhanced it.
