  1. It really depends on which D2's they are. There are 3 standard options which basically dictate which base shocker you get and are basically standard Street, Track day and full race. A good D2's supplier should be able to offer you about 10 different spring loads for all 3 options. These look great value but you really need to know which D2 coilover they are and what spring weight they are. I don't know enough about the weight you should have, but cant tell you for sure if you get either the trackday or the Full Race D2's you'll endup with serious back problems on the UK's crap roads. I'd ask them if they are the blue ones or the purple ones. looking at the spring ratings they sould like the street coilovers which are a matalic blue and they are more comfortable than the Tein HR's.

I'll be up for the old karting, but are you having balast to make it a compertion of driving skill or does the trophy simply go to who ever is skinny and a compitant driver.
  7. I agree with all that the aboue have said. Even Si :slap:
  8. My advice would be to replace the crap foam filters with a K&N moshrooms or get onto http://www.dpmotorsport.com and buy a pair of Somota mushrooms (none branded Apexi) as the ones that come with the kit are crap & will let course grit through and ware your bores out.
  9. I think the seats are CORBEAU BOSS reclinable buckets that have been retrimed.
  10. Reminds me I need one as well that white box in the drivers fuse box area footwell?
  11. I like the **spec lights on certain colours but obviously prefer these on blue zeds
  12. I love the Leather Alcantara combo. as in i'd have the seat backs, butty box and door cards done in leather and the bit your behind parks on in Alcantara. it looks good, it's not cold and it stops you sliding around. Nice interior though that one.
  13. A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics and Homosexuals, descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted 'He's Behind You!'
  14. I think it was more like O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O o O o O o O o O o O and ten fags before i had strength enough to hold the wheel.
  15. 9.5J would be too wide. I think you'd have rubbing problems and you have to go for a 245 mine front tyre which would upst the hanling and expose your rims.
  16. Second day of owning my Blue zed 8 years back. Opened fridge to see no milk. "I'm off to get some milk," Any excuse to drive my new baby. so instead of going into the village 2.25 miles away. I decided to go to Elesmere Via whitchurch, as you do. A journey of about 20 miles. Anyway its a cold morning with odd damp patches and as i get onto the A525 heading for the A41 I quickly come across a Ford Probe and think, "as we come out of next bend I'll nail it and go past him like a bat out of hell and show him what a proper sports car is all about. Well as I exited the apex of the next bend and a straight stretch of road open out I floored it. The turbo's sprung to life and fired me off. The rear end raced to overtake me and in shear panic my right leg locked the peddle to the floor. I pirouetted pass the stunded family in the prob. Completing 3 full revolutions with rear wheels screaming and tyre smoke billowing everywhere and by an act of God the car collected itself pointing in the right direction and accelorating away from the scene at speed. I manage to drive about a mile before my legs turned to jelly and i had to pull over and have a fag till I stopped shaking. I learned to respect the power and realised this had a bit more go than my old XR4
  17. Hi there. Your wheels width is normally measured in inches and normally stamped on the wheel as a J marking. Such as the normal offset 18" wheels are usually 8.5J front (8.5inch wide) and 9.5J or 10J rears. your right of course I should have asked you what wheels you have before quoting tyre sizes. Again their is some debate about the best tyre combinations, but if you learn from experience and check out what the big boys like Porsche and Ferrari do with offset RWD trye balances You won't go far wrong. The width of your wheels actually dictates the tyre width you can have. There are margins of safety which is usually the tyre can be 0.5 inch to 1.6 inch wider than the wheel itself. Any bigger or smaller could lead to the tyre coming off the rim under certain driving conditons. So if you have 8.5J front you could have a tyre up to 245 wide though I personally feel that that width of tyre causes too much tramlining on the road and promotes oversteer. IMO 225 wide is the best for roads use, but 235 looks better and behaves well. With a 9.5J rear wheel you can have a tyre up to 275 wide but may need the rear arches rolling to avoid scrubbing. 265 wide normally fills the arches well without the need for rolling the rear arches. A 10J rear wheel could have up to a 285 ,but would need flared arches. hope this ia of help to you
  18. You get what you pay for and believe me besides the superior wet and dry weather grip you get from the SO2. The generally last 1500 miles longer on the rear and 3to4000 longer on the front. Also you ideally want 235/40/18's front and 265/35/18' rears. I just never understand you lot. The most important bit of kit on you car and you cut corners. Everything you have on your car. be it engine upgrades, handle upgrades have to deliver via that black bit of rubber holding you on the road. That bit of rubber determins how well any of it functions and it will only function at its best if it is being comunicated to the tarmac properly. Anyone who has driven a car round a circuit on slicks knows exactly what I'm talking about. Its penny wize and pound foolish.
  19. I wish him all the best and hope he pulls it together for all those poor Necastle suporters. Being a Barnsley suporter I know how they feel. Only consulation for us is we don't have millions to throw around for players.
  20. Toyos are popular because they are cheep and as Andrew W put it and I agree. A set of Nearly Bald SO2's will grip better in the wet or dry than Toyo Proxy's can ever. All the other above tyres are OK, but the only really wet weather performer for the Nissan 300ZX is the Bridgestone SO'2. They are listed as Porsche only fitment and many tyre places will tell you they carn't get them anymore or that they've been replace buy something else. This is utter boll*x. The reason they will tell you this is because Porsche did a deal which means that Tyre shops can't make a masive margin on them. When you explain they are a Porsche only fitment they'll try and tell you your car will be illegal with them . this is also bull as it was the tyre that UK Zed were sold with. I've tried most Tyres and their are two that come close ie Continental Auto sport and the Michelin Pilots, but none perform like the SO2's in the wet cold conditions. + they are awesome in the dry and I find that i can get about 6000 miles out of the rears where as the best I've got from any of the others is about 4500. The Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R will last about 4000 miles and are no where near as good in wet or dry. Bridgestone SO3 are better then Porenza and about on par with the Mitchelin. The Yokohama Advan Neova AD07 are proberbly the best road tyre available in the dry but still suspect in the wet. This is IMO gathered over 8 years of Zed ownership and at present I have 3 Z32's. I Sporting SO2's, 1 With SO3's and 1 with Continetal Sport.
  21. Do yourself a favour and decide what you want before you start buying bits. Then find out what you'll need to acheive what you'd like then have a think about what you can really aford. If that makes any sense.
  22. That link has cost me a fortune. Your a wicked man and tempter of the week.
  23. It seems to be a comon problem with the HP laptops over 2years old and having had two different models repaired I asure you they will fail again and again within months. Time for a new laptop really. Get it repaired as a backup and to get your data transfered, but don't depend on it.
  24. :o Sorry I was thinking of galvanized :headvswal Senior moment :slap: Of corse you can anodise alloy all the frigging braided hose clips and end collors in my engine bay are anodised. Though the Fedenza fly wheels don't have a coating and are very soft. So the ring gear and the pressure plate are some steel alloy.
