Occasional smoke anyone
Is the smoke when you nail it or as you lft off? Who Reconed your Tubs? Was it a complete exchange service, ie you old tubs replace with 2 comletely reconed units or did you send yours away to be repaired.

How old is it
I think they always knock it back a year to be safe. I imported a Celica TRD for my wife. Year it was made was 2003. We know this because they only make 300 a year and they have a Vin plate with date and prodution line number yet they have registered it as 02. Looks like a pattern is emerging :slap :confused:

Turbo options.
That would equate to 410 to 440 RWHP which is scarey power and will need the HICAS elliminated, an uprated clutch, better coolers, bigger injectors, better pistons, Decat system, Widebandlamber sensor kit and software da da da. Take my advice get someone to give you a blast in a car with that kind of setup then look at the cost and see if you really need it. GET JD to give you a blast in his. JD got 370 RWHP out of his car competely on stock internals. Just a chip, injectors, boost controler and Sidepod coolers. I can tell you it is raged every day and no problems. PS Though if your going to go for it then these are the mutts :D

Fight against MLMs
One of my pet hates. If people used proper lane procedure we'd all be able to get around with less than half the Traffic jams. Also I think who ever decided that Lorrys' should travel at 54mph , Caravans at 50mph, coaches 60mph and they can only use lane 1 & 2 should be taken out and shot. Modern HGV'S and Coaches are more than capable of traveling safely at 70mph and any that arn't should be off the Motorways or scrapped. Well made caravans have always been capable of high speeds while being very stable. The inportance of caravan stability is vehical combinations and how people pack them which could all be legislated for. Then the country might funtion properly. Also A roads Lorrys and coachs which can by law travel at 60mph on motorways, suddenly on "A" roads are only allowed to travel at 40mph Yet caravans still 50mph. :headvswal. Most head on crashes on "A"roads are a result of someone trying to get past one of the afore mentioned slow moving vehicles. Rant over.

water dumping
I had this in the past and went through all the same Questions and none of the answers worked until I had the rad Recored then bingo sorted. The sh1t and bits of flash build up in the core elliments over the years and its worse for cars that are more weeknd motors and if you don't flush it once a year it compacts so much it wount flush. If your car is Auto its even more critical because your Rad inco-operates you oil cooler so a good enthusiastic bit of driving can reach critical mass for the poorly old Rad and it spits it dummy out. Anyway hope its just the heater pipe if not There's something else for ya to look at. Oh yes by the way if you kept your engine bay a bit cleaner you'd spot these things before the do any damage. You could grow spuds in there mate. Get it cleaned :nono: :slap: :rofl:

These cars are absolute Bast*rds to bleed properly and can take up to 2 hours to get all air out of system. However Your first concern should be why has it's got an airloch 1)Head gasket failure would produce an air lock and when up to temp creat a sound like tappets. 2) The rad has been off, water hoses been off or water pump?????. So why 3) Heater matrix is foocked. wouldn't worry at this moment about the oil presure guage readings as many will tell you the are about as accurate using you elbow to dial your mobile. All in all it sounds well doggy, but don't worry give the heap of crap back. (Always buy off the forum and before you do ask if anyone knows anything about that particular car. That way you get a propper mota that wount cost you for a while.) Most importantly if you just bought it send it back and tell them you want your money back. Law states any car purchased must be fit for purposes to which it was sold for a period of three months. During that time the seller must repair fully or refund fully. Unless they can prove that the damage done was cause buy you. Maiden Voyage home Yhey ain't got a leg to stand on + have the recovery bill sent to them also.

:slap: silly boy go to the back of the class. no your partly right. Over run is when you lift off the Gas after accelorating hard. If the Oil seals in the turbo are knackered then usually what happen is that the oil is pasted through the tub while the tub is spooling hard (no smoke) As soon as you back of and the presure isn't forcing the oil through at sill Knots the the residue hits the hot tub and tub walls and bingo Big belch of smoke. Also it its idling it will smoke as it burns off in the exhaust. So your tubs may be OK and first thing to check out would be check plugs and see if she's runing rich, Change your PCV's (cos if they are knackered it'll smoke like a *******.) + Many other things to check first before you go running of for new tubs so speak to someone like Duffer, Baggins or any good mechanic instead. :shock:

Well I'm asuming that Garage counts just the same and I've got a few grands worth and everything on my rides is fitted. I could almost build a new car, 1 manual gearbox, clutch, flywheel, diff TT, Diff NA, rear subframe NA, Prop TT auto, prop NA manual, Anto box, Torque converter, Set standar UK wheels, Set of 18" split rims (in need of refurb) Clocks, Guages, Bonnett, Targas, Spoiler Brakes, springs and shocks, Coolers, Short shift New, TT engine, Turbo's, HICAS eliminator SE and loads more big time for Ebay I think. P.S So as not to disappoint Greg. Well it all started a long time ago when I was knee high to a grass hopper and :smash: :rofl: ;)

HID conversion advice
It really depends on which kit you get. If you get the one on the Group buy then the back of the head light needs modifying, though its not too difficult. I converted mine, but you need the head lights out. I think you''d be better to pay a bit more and get the kit that doesn't need the lamps moding, but they are about £100 more. P.S The results are unbelievable (well maybe not its just that the degree of how sh1te the standard lights are is unbelievable)
