  1. Its got to be Papodoms, Dhal soup, followed buy Chicken Vindaloo (cos you wouldn't eat it sober) with boiled rice, Keema nan and Bombay patatos. You then wake up at 06.30 feeling like the bottom has fallen out of your world and by 06.45 the world is falling out your bottom.
  2. Come off it Zevens your cars a four door saloon
  3. Aahh Never seen that before. Is it on all Jspec cars. Didn't have that on my UK spec auto.
  4. Just met a guy round at a local garage. He's just bought a 1989 Jspec auto and he ask mr what this button was. I had to tell him I haven't got a clue ,but its bugging me as to what it is.
  5. Is this the same 4.5 V8 they put in the US & African spec Patrol. Cos I thought its just a high compression Version of that engine that they are puting in the Infinati QX 45 Skyline Sadan as the yanks say. If so then they do make a suoercharger kit for the Low compression engine. I only now this because my eldest brother is supercharging his 4.5 V8 petrol Patrol. We are talking South African though.
  6. Leigh I completely agree with you. infact before I had my engine build etc I used to have my Apexi Boost and Fuel controlers in the gluve box so as not to mess it up. I'm making a new centre consol to accept the Profec B so all you'll see is the screan and a intergrated Ipod Dock so it will just fit in flush + a VW Passat style head unit. All flush and neat. Then 3 individual clock pods in the centre (like Toulequoc's/Richy's) and one next to door pillar. All indido and Red illumination. I'm going to keep the original lines just smooth it out and update (Keep it sleak and simple).

Cheers. To be honest every time I look at the new ones I think. "WTF have you done". Yours look the same colour! Powder coat silver int the centre and Polished dishes and rims. Anyway the ones on your car look good to me.
  8. You'll also need it in the car as well to ensure all angles and joints are bang on. I don't like the picture you posted though Leigh. It looks like one of those cream plastic molded interiors you get in the cheap die cast toy cars from china. You know the ones I mean. They arn't based on anything in the real world, but look like they should have been on space 1999 or UFO.
  9. Nice wheels and bolt on arches on first one
  10. Sorry to be the barer of bad news, but I agree with Paul (Smithy) I'd say Turbo oil seals. I've had quite a few T5's and I've had it happen to my Z + 2 T5's smoke on the over run is defo oil passing the Tub oil seal.
  11. You'll need to get someone with a greater knowledge than me on this one. Though I personally would say yes, because like you say the Jspec doesn't have this and yet I believe the diff ratios are the same. + The vast majority of Zed's in the UK are imports and don't seem to suffer with diff proplems even when running quite high (400 ish RWBHP) So I'd say go for it. I bet someone will come on here and tell me how wrong I am now.
  12. I like the look of the late sixties Stingrays. All aggresive individual clock pods that protrude from the dash yet still flow organically into the dash. They were sleak and un fussy at the same time. I also love the neat rows of flush buttons and indigo and red elumination in the new Passats and think a fussion of these two styles would look modern with enough retro edge to give it real kudos. The basic Z interia is really quite good as its not too fussy. Though too many clocks, turbo timers, TV screans, head units, remote controls and boost controlers all of different shapes and sizes. Tend to make most Zeds I see look an awful mess inside.
  13. I know a guy in North Wales with a Z31 UK car registered in 1991 on a J plate and thats a red wide arch targa. Ugly and like poridge to drive.
  14. Because they know that us and the Aussies are hooligans that not only rag our motors to death, but also not the hotest on oil changes. Hence an oil cooler and a sealed unit.
  15. Correct. However. I think if you spoke to Johnny he'd even agree that Chris is a very good mechanic and knows the 300's very well. Anything else if you what to know then give me a call. If you've not got my number then ask Johnny. I know he's got it because he gave me a call on it yesterday. :)
  16. cheers Oilman Just one other thing. I have put 10-50 semi synthetic in her would that be OK. + When changing to fully synthetic should I drain my oil cooler first?
  17. Yes mate they are different. Luke at http://www.zcentre.co.uk will be able to sort yo out.

Well if I ever get all my niggles sorted and run her in. I expect when JD has waved his magic wond over her to see 400+ at the wheels. If not I'll be looking at something else to drive.

Me + another + a car + a tent (may even be the Z) (do want to sound too possertive incase something else goes tits up) So save me a space for Sat/ Sun.
  20. Hi Oilman What would you recomend for running in a new engine rebuild and Brand New roller bearing turbos (if I ever get that far)
  21. Hi Ian No not really since simon and Chris left, but you know and I know I had to move her from GPS and it was only when I tested the alinement on the car that I realised she was running like a bag of spanners. I tried and tried to get hold of Johnny but there was no reply on his mobile or at the Gararge and next thing Chris told me GPS was gone. I went there really to get 4 wheel alinement and steering geometry done. I then decided to slap in the 555's and new ECU and get it running abit better and let JD SET her up for me. Then this flooding (well you carn't call it flooding because the amount of fuel it chucks out is unbelievable) problem which I recon Steve-o has hit it right on, because my car languished at GPS for about 8 months and arrived at dp almost on fumes. So do I. like I said previous I think cos I've had that much sh1t with getting the engine, gearbox etc built as I wanted and spending 3 times what I was quoted or wanted I just panicked at yey another problem and forgot to do the basics.
  22. standard Jspec or UK spec will fit. You could go for the crystal clear replacements that the Zcentre do. or modify it to take what ever lights you like.
  23. Thanks guys Two more things to cross of the list next week. The biggest problem is its at dp which is about 40 miles from my place. If it was at my house I could get stuck into it over the weekend. I think Steve-o has proberbly it the nail on the head with regards to sh1t as the car was almost dry. Told you it'd be something obvious. Will see next Wednesday. I think ya (well I do) pannic abit when its your own car cause your just dreading how much more your going to have to spend on the bl**dy thing to get it working properly again.
  24. Hi mate these are Brand Spanking New Nismo 555 injectors. They are going to be tested next Wednesday, but i just wondered if the are operated by the negative instead of the positive so that if the current was passing the wrong way could they open fully and stick? Sounds daft I know, but its got to the point where its got to be something daft or that obvious we carn't see it.
  25. For a proper job including all door shuts rubbers and glass removed £2000 to £2500. If your having any body kit added it'll cost more.
