Hi peeps, as above has anybody fitted the 2fast decat pipe kit to a manual turbo with the engine in? My mechanic seems to think there`s an issue with regard to removing the old downpipes, i.e hitting the footwell n getting stuck making the change a complete nightmare.

yeah mikes MJP mechanic is very good,highly recommended!

it`s a lot easier to replace back on the block plenum if there`s two of you, i had to kneel on the front of mine cos kept moving the gasket,you could always superglue the corners though.

bet they had happy husbands!

certain parts are different, would have thought the motor that moves the needle could be exchanged though. one way to find out!

which loom is it? if it`s the main efi loom ie the one to injectors etc it`s not hard to get through the firewall, in fact with dash out it`s a doddle.

i just changed a speedo on the missus pug, k/m to mph had to cannabalize as the k/m had a chip for the odeometer was just a case of swapping that part,so they may have something similar going on

wd40 n a flat blade screwdriver, use a little leverage by twisting the blade whilst pushing down on the tang thinggie

resolder everything and check the joints on the chip too

well yassa now has a vinz special, had probs getting the old one off as it seems it wasn`t put on quite straight which buggered up the 1st few threads.

Well what can i say?... got to know yassa n yassa junior bit better, had fun playing with our knobs..even the frenchman got in on a bit of knob tugging n twisting action. Weather was great.Confirmed we both have very fffffassssssst cars..had a scary moment..wasn`t me sir. How fast? noooooooooooooooo deffo wasn`t me.. thank god that conversation never took place! it`s ok i`m a uk car, 95 will do fine! plus i get quite good mileage out of mine 30+ if i`m off boost n cruising.Sounds like it`s gonna be fun! :nana2:

Hello, good mornin...and welcome. Will be taking a trip with the zed and the missus up your way in the next few weeks, can you recommend things we really should see above all others, or cool roads to drive etc, we only have a week, she wants to see edinburgh and i want to see glasgow again, will be going to john o`groats and drivin across the top, but would really appreciate some local knowledge as she`s dreamt of visiting for ages and would like to make it special for her.
