  1. Ooooooooooooooooouuuuch!
  2. lovin the undertray! does the wrapper come off? looks like a pizza box instead of stainless! lol Just too add, me n the missus are visiting scotland in a few weeks, and yes taking the zed, is there anywhere in glasgow we should really make sure we don`t miss, cool hotels drives etc. you could advise on?
  3. you can buy the speedo face section new, last time i enquired a couple of years ago it was over £400 for that alone
  4. Well, if i had known you had that much time on your hands i would have given you a shout over summer! Personally I now teach guitar all day, tis a cool job, get the holidays etc, just not the money! It`s very rewarding seeing people of all ages progress and develop though, especially the young ones as they gain confidence and a sense of achievement.
  5. Yep sounds like a.i.v, can ditch if you`re mechanically minded enough, just remember to plug any vac lines/hoses left.
  6. In my experience the dim-dip relay on UK-spec cars will not cause a flickering problem. Well on my hids from Dan they flicker very briefly, i have a uk and have assumed its the loom as its intermittent, i can never tell when it`s going to happen, initially suspected the ballast then after an exchange buggers did it again! So i`ll try to remove the dim dip when i get a chance cause it`s p**ing me off and i`m sure it`s got nowt to do with the units themselves.Otherwise i`m at a loss!
  7. you only need a visa if going to tourist sites, if staying in sharm area you don`t need one. I saw that sign in luxor i think it was, good way to get business, ahh love the hustles, they`re so rubbish at it
  8. yep go with Dan, highly recommended!
  9. the guy with the tow truck let him down, so he`s doing it locally with another competent mechanic z fella

  13. yes cas is round, ptu is square. if no spark clean connectors on both units.small files, wonderwheels n something like a cotton bud to clean afterwards n see how you go. But yes sounds like it needs a bloody good service and too add, coilpacs are last in the chain
  14. if it`s only when it`s raining how about checking the wires attached to the sensor in the gearbox, maybe your`re getting a short.also uk speedos can suffer the same issues, generally it`s dry joints, had one on the chip itself which screwed things up only noticed with a big magnifyer.
  15. could be the ptu unit, it controls the spark. as your facing the engine its on the left behind the boost hoses, mounted to the timing belt cover, try wiggling the connectors, they can suddenly go although in my experience the looms the first to suffer, green corrosion etc.if the earth pin is crudded it stops it starting.Good luck
  16. rather stick with natural chemicals i think, christ there`s enough of them that`ll do your noggin in let alone some dodgy chemist! Had day off yesterday as really not well n took codeine with stella (not that these are natural, both results of labs n fiddling with nature) to increase its effect as other p/killers were not up to it,well that worked, found myself laying down in the garden in lovely warm sunshine feeling quite peaceful n pain free.Made me think, wonder if mr brown spends time to look at the ants, get a real sense of what matters most in the world. My God imagine him n the cabinet high, be like something from dr who!
  17. me me & me..don`t know who the f..ck i` am sometimes!
  18. yep, it rotates on the shaft, held by a special bracket sort of thinggie and moved by the fork,so as you apply pressure could be that as si says it`s dry or wearing out..then again i may be wrong,if you have to replace it may pay off to upgrade the pivot ball too.
  19. been back at work one week showing little buggers how to rock n roll n they`ve given me a bug already, only slept for 2 hrs due to the pain, had the wierdest dreams, thought i was awake only to find it was a dream then that reality turned out to be a dream also, when i found i really was awake i felt really f..ked up..who needs drugs! actually i do..nurse.
  20. very good, use the last one a lot myself!
  21. but you knew that...didn`t you? he he
