  1. Well that`s why i asked for advice, I`ve lost too much money and time to people that have provided appalling service not to mention the emotional grief caused. We`re not talking a few quid when it comes to these things. Personally, i`m not swinging mud...it`s silicone sealant baby..yeah.
  2. Tell me about it! So far i`ve found the following swimming in sealant and/or not renewed; All injector seals and o rings, rocker cover gaskets and half moons plenum gasket, turbo inlet gasket, turbo oil return gasket, balance bar o rings all pcv valves split and yep u guessed it covered in sealant..must have had shares in the stuff. You know what..i`m astounded the car still ran and actually made to the south of france and back, although i had done the valves by then lol!
  3. Ah yes, i remember you getting in touch before. Shocking isn`t it..wouldn`t be suprised if they`re not my turbos on there either at this rate. Well if you take the nickname for our cars and a slang term for amphetamines you`ll figure it out.
  4. After finding my plenum gasket was actually just silicone sealant, not to mention other really naff and totally unproffesional short cuts,( basically no gaskets/rubbers had been renewed when engine work was undertaken so have been gradually rectifying all this) i thought i`d delve deeper as i`ve been hearing a blow from drivers side area for a while. So after a lot of cursing and help from a mate finally managed to get this blooming turbo pipe off as i could see there seemed to be a lack of gasket..what a suprise..silicone sealant..again! What do you think i should say to the guy who owned the garage that carried out the work at the time and whom in my opinion is ultimately responsible for this poor standard of work, especially as they were well paid for all this. Sadly for me but fortunate for many they are now out of business although he is a current member of this site. Would love to see what he has to say!
  5. Had an issue a while ago with my injectors dying, so managed to replace them with help from some very helpful/ generous members (thanks again!). Anyway this is what greeted me the first time round, which i assumed was due to overfuelling and the unspent fuel being recycled as it were into the plenum..thing is it`s STILL like it, not as bad but none the less. One of the injectors had shed 2/3rds of its cap and i`m now starting to wonder if one of the valves has been damaged at all. Removed sparks, none are covered in oil or owt so assume rings are ok. I`m resealing the rockers as the half moons and fronts seem to be leaking hence the plenum being off again. I also seem to have what sounds like a blow from the turbo/manifold area..could be the plenum after seeing the gasket! Any thoughts as to causes? p.s runs ok, passed mot other day, just smells a little fuely sometimes.
  6. that`s only the current bid..not the final price bud.
  7. quite common, small water pipe bit of a pig to get to but can be done, not too bad if plenums off although have managed to access from underneath before with long nose plyers. have a look for rear engine pics, it`s the one that hooks up to the passenger turbo.
  8. our virgin media service stopped working just as the game started, when was it fixed...oh yes just after it had finished..tossers.
  9. ohm test the injectors, should be around 12.
  10. best thing you could do would be to post a pic on here so we can see the pipes and give you more of a clue mate.
  11. sorry bud he`s correct..freeview is exactly that..free,including hd.
  12. sounds like the neck needs a wee tweak, as above try a little shim.
  13. No mate you`re not, some people will always want something for nothing. It`s the poundland culture, i think, sadly, it takes somebody who has gone through similar situations regarding parts/labour etc. to see what a deal they`d be getting. Hang on in there mate.
  14. rip, one of my favourites.
  15. lookin at my car...yes i could see you driving slowly past. lol
  16. pretty sure the sender changes voltage according to temp, so would assume it`s the guage that`s poor..unless the senders range is limited of course.
  17. Don`t despair! just seen him shopping in my tescos...was gonna take a piccie, but..you know..seriously, was the spitting image! Rip. i have finaly reached the age when my heros start dying...

Just got back from shopping as we go on our hols next week, the missus has just fallen asleep, i just haaaaaaaaaaad to check to see if it was care bear wallpaper lol. Think i`m gonna make myself a rather large gin and just seen salma hyek in a basque..yummy, gonna have to wake the missus up now!
  20. Result..had to be! lol
  21. I recon he`s playing Steps. These are tasteful cars you know!
  22. My dad had 2 of those, they are fun, although only the bigger engined one is worth it. The engines are a nightmare to get any access to and yep, rust-o-rama. Little Italian roadster with the roof off, you`ll have to be reasonably framed to fit in one though! Go for it, why not?
  23. i have them on dvd..do do..do do..do do do do..bop pop bop pop bop pop bo pop. Anybody who knows the theme tune will get that!
