Is a nice shell and looks like nissan changed seam sealer in engine bay on some of the zeds. Both my older zeds had very thin bead which lifted letting water in. Both pauls cars, seam sealer is on a lot thicker so no rusty bits to worry about. Once picked up I'll get some pics up of it stripped and then some of it painted..

Just to say thanks to paul (300_zedx) he saved me grinding and welding my car ever again, He had a very clean shell, Really nice guy...Thanks again paul...

Had a look at a shell today, its nice and clean so put a deposit on it... So now just to arrange picking it up and then I can get her stripped to a bare shell, resprayed and put her back together with all my bits. And its got some nice flared rear arches too..

Thats what im gonna do buy the best shell I can paint it white and put my bits on it. The mechanical side is nothing to me a week and it'll be on the road, Bodywork im lost with, im shite, and think ive grinded to much on the shell, Totally here what your saying, and gonna find cleanest shell I can and get my zed back on the road. Thing is want the zed artic white so whatever zed I buy is gonna have a full colour change. And have a brand new engine to put in it so engine will have to come out. And have new interior so interior will need to come out. So whatever I buy will end up near on a shell lol so may has well get a shell in 1st place. But yeah its all down to my stupidity being to fussy and learning by my mistakes and im throwing grinder in the bin.

Think the switch on the pedal is more for cruise control, to turn it off when pressing clutch. U can wire it to start car with clutch pressed.

To be honest, think I just want another shell. Gonna strip it to a bare shell, no engine, interior nothing, send it round to be resprayed atleast if its a shell I can get paint in everywhere. And hope I don't find any rust lol. Oh no here we go again. Im smashing my grinder up tomorrow, I think I've grinded to far even where top of shock is and box section where these panels mate up to ive grinded clean so many times there getting thin. Cheers for replies, looking at sussex stu shell on mon, fingers crossed. And there wont be any oh no I cut a hole threads ever again.

Or just read last bit dizzy and rotor arm, has it got a coil could be that, If its electronic ignition, then check amplifier or could have a crank sensor cause must have a trigger somewhere.

Dont know much about pulsars, But id check if it has crankshaft sensor, Or ignition amplifier like ptu has steams said. Or compression test for low compression. Hope u sort it mate.

Hi mate its mercedes artic white, whatever happens if I fix it or next zed will be going artic white. Looks so clean, The drivers side has actually been done with one of them scotch pads, to key it up. Thats why it looks flat, was booked in to be resprayed again. .

Im gutted, why did I touch it lol.. Was one tiny scab in the seam in the engine bay, could of used wire brush in a drill, and put new seam sealer over it. But then thought about having smooth engine bay and all went wrong. . The car is filthy and has stonchip overspray on bumpers etc, but have new bumpers and bits to go on it. Its been reshelled couple years back and resprayed twice since then..

I can't sort the panels mate, I really want to, if anyone can fabricate them and weld them in, I'll pay the money just can't find anyone to do it who wont use a ton of filler, Even tried buying panels new but mjp said that nissan only make one side now and need both. I'll post some pics of the holes the size I need., and few of the car its solid no rust or bent sills etc, But its been on my drive for ever so sills look dirty. Guys ive had nightmares with my 300zx, with the engine bay. Panels I had fabricated are shite. Have a big pile of bits in my bedroom worth 3-4k which ive been buying. Brand New wheels, 88mm weisco pistons, gt2560r turbos, 5bolt manifolds, brand new 99spec front bumper I bought from japan, type s side skirts, getting paid hopefully later today and finish payment for uprated injectors and eagle rods. And no car to fit them on:crying: Now thinking to just buy another zed, in around 2wks got around 6k coming could I pick 99spec up for that even an na would do cause would be putting my engine in it. My shell is immaculate underneath and I doubt id find another like it and got so fussy with this car that I would end up doing the same thing to the next car. Or has anyone else got a zed shell that the seams either side of engine bay seam sealer hasn't failed, sills are not rusty and no wrong jacking done bending them up. And no rust. This will be second time I've reshelled car in last couple years..- na diff in tt
Think your likely right, but gears still feel long enough, and u don't notice it just feels like it wants to pull. I was shocked didn't expect to feel any difference and mainly changed due to hicas joints. But u really can notice the difference, more if say your in 3rd or 4th and low in rev range it just wants to go..- na diff in tt
I put an na rear on mine gets rid of hicas so feels more solid, And before na rear I was running chip and around 1bar of boost, I have only tried na rear with standard map and boost and its sround the same performance has when it was chipped, it seems to make the car just pull in any gear. Its about the best thing I've done on my zed, drives and performs better but does spin back wheels easy lol. Top end dont matter to me still do over 150mph and who really needs faster...- Door alignment

Dont touch them lol, mine were a right hassle, but im a fussy ****er. I spent about 2days messing with my doors getting them to shut right, they were in at the bottom of door and sticking out at top. plus getting all the gaps near on perfect. The bolts that bolt hinge to the door have washers welded on them restricting how far left and right the door moves I cut them off squared the doors up and re tacked them. Wings were off so I undone 3 bolts that bolt hinge to body to raise door where it had dropped. Im glad I did it door gaps are more like an audi now small and all same size.. Every zed I've seen since the doors, wings, front panel etc gaps and panel fit seem fairly poor compared to decent quality new cars. But has said im a fussy ****er lol...- brembo calipers
Just read they use the same pads has gtr skyline, Are they the same caliper has gtr skyline, next to the zed brakes there not that much bigger.. - 99spec 300zx
