  1. nice work Jaikai that looks fantastic! perhaps if the headlights and nose panel were a little smaller in comparison to the rest of the car
  2. that's a genuine enthusiast right there Daffy! for me, I wanted a turbocharged car. Simple as. I owned a Cav GSi2000 for 2 or 3 years and loved it but sadly the rust and maintenance (lol) got too much. one night I was out painting the town with a mate, walking along a road, and some lads are going round the block caning a Sierra Cosworth, dump valves 'n' all. Assisted by the alcohol, this made my mind up that I wanted a turbo'd car. Sadly my budget was only £6k at the time, and although I initially hated the look of the 300 (the way the bonnet sloped down to the headlights and the round-looking front), the fact I could have a 3.0 V6 24v TT within budget quickly changed my mind!
  3. true that. the latest news is that Sony are forcing new games to only work with 3.5 patched PS3s (i.e. ones you can't jailbreak) and GT5 would have worked for 3.41, basically meaning it could be hacked/copied, and this messed up the disc production schedule. seriously though all this is doing my head in, its like winning half a million on the lottery and waiting for the cheque to come through the post!! :wack: :wack:
  4. holy crap Paul that must have been scary! glad you checked out ok though - where do you work? any toxic gases escaped, or did someone slip an LSD in your coffee (a half-serious question)?
  5. Bruntingthorpe, among many other things, do a one-day charity event for a particular charity that my previous employer was involved with. myself and a few other members from here have attended three or four of them, but its by invite only and sadly (or rather happily for the charity) the day has become so popular that the lowly 300ZX can't find a spot any more. wasn't there a clip that you took Al with Chunk drifting his biatch around the track at Brunters?
  6. mate that looks awesome! changing seat covers and de-tweeding in my opinion makes the Z look 20 years younger on the inside!
  7. ...partial confirmation that you can save the endurance races part-way through, although no info on how often/at what point(s).... ...and a new trailer for the game which looks awesome!: pay particular detail to the clip of the ferrari (driven by our mate Ben) at 1:17 to 1:19.  -bl64-_ywrQ
  8. I'd rather 'do' the car
  9. his photobucket userID gives it away a bit!
  10. see what you mean with the sweeping console - just needs the two pods now!
  11. ive ordered a couple of things from them in the past and their service has been fine, albeit when it came to a partial refund it did take 2 or 3 emails to get the money back into my account, but nothing off-putting!
  12. no not yet mate - i tried my old one with the DiRT 2 demo but there seemed to be a split second delay between my steering and the car responding for some bizarre reason. i played with the settings a bit but couldn't improve it. i tried it with a gamepad and did much better. hopefully its just a compatibility thing! same here mate :( i just know it's gonna be epic but the damn thing just needs to come out now!  I could lose a few weeks of my life with that!!! i was drooling over the G27s but they're way out of my price range!
  13. ditto Dave - I had a cheapo Logitech force feedback (the blue and black one) and even this entry-level one made GT4 feel like a totally different game - it was great to feel the judder while holding the corner in a touring car, or feel the rear suspension bounce around in an old American muscle car. I received my Logitech GT steering wheel yesterday and its a sexy bit of kit!!! Leo - change that to December by the looks of it mate :( :(
  14. the world has become a slightly better place! nice one Darren! :D
  15. What do I really hate? Right now? Polyphony Digital :mac1:
  16. delayed until nearer Christmas. I don't believe it. I wonder if they realise how many hundreds of thousands of people they p!ss off each time they delay it...
  17. knackered valve spring causing one of the intake valves not to seal properly?
  18. ^ agree. waste of space and waste of money. start from scratch and I mean, scratch!
  19. don't know, and the members profiles page is down as well as the private messages so I can't check Rides. I've heard it mentioned several times, but no-one's suggested a max reliable figure (if one exists that's different to a TT differential). it was enough to put me off having the conversion done which is a shame as i was looking forward to the weight loss (e.g. hicas removal via subframe swap) and the tighter accelleration.
  20. you will deffo need the 555s for that sort of setup. I did once consider the N/A diff route, but there was quite a bit of advice saying the standard N/A diff won't be able to handle a lot of power (no-one's ever come up with a figure though). Yes its possible to do the prop as well, you can modify the flanges at one end so you can mate one end to the N/A diff and the other end to a TT gearbox.
  21. so Ben's 'defected' to Fifth Gear then...? sorry if its old news! :o
  22. can you smell it in the engine bay as well? may be a brittle pipe around the fuel filter area - easily replaceable with a braided one.
  23. 297 from an almost totally stock motor is a fantastic achievement!
