  1. the best way to reduce lag is to have a good free-flowing exhaust system by losing the cats and fitting split downpipes. don't forget that when upping boost, you need to have a remapped or aftermarket chip so the ECU knows how much fuel to provide for higher-than-factory boost levels
  2. ...unless its one heck of a sleeper!
  3. My new exhaust is rubbing slightly against this shield that runs across the back of the car and is making an annoying screeching noise. What does this shield do and can it be removed / jigsawed down to size?
  4. i took the Z out of hibernation after 5 or 6 weeks this afternoon and took her out for a spin just as the snow was starting to fall. it felt good i can tell you!
  5. such a shame about the weather but you 100% did the right thing mate - here's to Feb!!! :duffer: :duffer:
  6. Reverse Indiglo! you could have the inverter on a belt strapped to your waist
  7. f***ing 'human rights' laws and f***ing leftie judges. line them up and burn them one by one that murdering immigrant must be laughing his head off :mac1: :mac1: :mac1:
  8. only other thing i can think of if its an import it will have a little black/silver sticker with some Japanese on it just above the gear lever on the centre console, unless its been removed.
  9. Great idea Dave and thanks for taking the time to upload it all! I'll make a start - there are a couple that I'm not 100% sure of though: 5) League of Extraordinary Gentlemen 6) Dukes of Hazzard 8) Terminator 3 11) Ronin 12) Pursuit of Happyness [50% sure] 13) Minority Report 15) Timecop 18) Matrix Reloaded 19) Last Action Hero [50% sure] 23) Batman Begins 24) Demolition Man [70% sure!] 25) Equilibrium 26) I Robot 27) Ghost Rider 28) War of the Worlds 29) Mummy 2 [40% sure!] 31) Casino Royale 37) Cars 38) Scooby Doo 41) Curse of the Warerabbit [actually I still reckon it's a W&G but the one before this one!] 44) Fast and the Furious 46) Gone in 60 seconds 48) Kill Bill
  10. I've always ran 32 up front and 34 rear but I've not really thought about optimising the pressure
  11. Happy Birthday mate!
  12. First off, let me get these negatives off my chest: The menu interface is so darned slow and cumbersome to get around - to the extent that you have to wait for a different menu to load as you try to navigate from e.g. an event to the parts shop. being a bit of an ex-games programmer, there's no reason why a few megabytes of pictures, a few kilobytes of code, and a few meg of music couldn't all be loaded in at once! The driver A.I., although claimed to be finally fixed, is still rubbish. Except at least it makes mistakes, and politely rams into the back of you sending you off the track! Every other driving game out there has got it almost right, why can't the 'ultimate' driving game? Engine sound effects still all sound generic and barely improved from GT3. I do however love the sound of the engine firing up when you choose a car from your garage. The feeling of speed still isn't there - when you're hacking along at 150mph in most other driving games, you get the blur and the shaking camera and the feeling of danger. in GT5, the only thing that lets you differentiate between speed is the speedo on the screen, you could be doing 40, you could be doing 140, who'd know! however to be fair, when youre full throttle in NASCAR, or in cockpit view in an open-top, or on the Nurburgring, the feel of speed does come through properly! The much-hyped weather transitions and day/night transitions are only for certain tracks/events The much-hyped damage is still a bit rubbish - mechanical damage only appears to be online only [i wait to be corrected on this, as the damage was only patched in last week] - and visual damage has to be 'unlocked', and in some cases makes the car look like melted plastic :( And there are plenty of steps back from GT4, most of which totally mystify me!: You can't fast-forward replays like you could in GT4 You can't fast-forward B-spec mode like you could in GT4 There aren't any manufacturer-only events like there were in GT4 (and GT2) - these are events you pick up from the dealerships, not events like the Ferrari-only event, or the Yaris/Vitz event You can only change alloys on the premium cars, even though you could change alloys on any of the cars in GT4 (which are therefore the standard cars in GT5) You can't upgrade your brakes in the parts store like you could in GT4 (e.g. ceramic brakes) ...but even after all the above is taken into account, this is still my favourite driving game and IMO definitely in the top 3 driving games across all console formats - the good bits of the game far outweigh the criticism above and if youve not played it yet but like your driving games, I dont think you'll be disappointed! Thanks for reading the official EvoluZion3 review of GT5! :online2long::online2long: And Dave, how on earth have you managed to hold out all this time without buying!!?????
  13. that's amazing!! straight away made me want to boot up the game and burn a bit of petrol!
  14. ^ and its been really well looked after by yourself mate
  15. thanks guys - just checking :)
  16. Quick question - anyone know of any reason why '89-spec JDM rear lights wouldn't be compatible with a '92 UK?
  17. lol, thats one hell of a sleeper if it goes properly! looks like a wreck!
  18. clearly something's on your mind that youre not happy about mate. perhaps try and get to the bottom of that whatever it is
  19. mine's usually under cover and on trickle charge throughout the cold periods.
  20. looks like theyve had a spring clean and moved everything around. couldnt see any particular problems with it, but ebay are just as bad - as soon as you get used to the layout they change it and make it worse :headvswal
  21. fallout is more RPG whereas MoH (and CoD) are arcadey shooters. If you hadn't said about the PC version I'd have said CoD7 trounces MoH - and yes Ive played both!
  22. Happy Birthday Jeff!!
  23. i have the One IQ. i like the idea of the traffic version of this talking to other tom toms and letting yours know if theres a traffic jam, but I dont use it enough to warrant the subscription. in fact i use a sat nav once every 6 months or so!
