hi mate - once the old covers are off as you can imagine all youre left with is the metal frame covered (hopefully) in the spongy stuff. I poked holes through at various points in the new cover with a screwdriver and used plastic ties (about 200 for the whole job!) to attach it to the frame. There are also points in the covers where you slide thin metal rods down and tie around those - I managed to salvage most from the old seats, and just cut up a couple of wire coat hangers for anything I was missing. I've attached a couple of pics from a guide that came from their web site to give you an idea. The job is technically simple, just wire ties, screw drivers, a stanley knife, some pliers, and a whole lot of patience and spare skin and blood for your fingers!

yes I have these in mine and Im very happy with them. I'm fairly sure it was the same seller as well. The kits came ready built in 6 pieces (inc. rear seats and plus head rests) so you just remove the original leather/tweed and pull these over and tie them to the frame - although that makes it sound too simple it still takes hours to do! :( The material (of mine at least) is supposedly called Vytex and feels like the stuff you trim your console/doors with but softer and thicker. It has a matte leather look to it. It's entirely down to opinion whether you like it or not but as I said I'm very happy with mine. Take a look at some of the pics I took while fitting them. There are a couple of snaps in my rides section too.

Ive just added up the receipts that I still have and they hit just under £21k over the near 8 years Ive owner her. add to that missing receipts and (cough) cash, and I reckon I've spent £27k+ repairing and modifying my Z. and I wouldn't change any of it for the world!!!

Jeff this reminds me of those two guys that used to turn up at your old (old, old, old) place and sell Zs that were branded as "Inspected by ZedWorld" when literally all you'd done is inspect them (and informed them that they were sheds)! :nono:

Great write-up Jeff - I used Captain Tolley's Creeping Crack Cure on my driver's side and it's all but fixed the issue. I need to use more on the passenger side as I'm still getting the occasional spot of rainwater on my newly-trimmed seats! :mad:

yeah good tips above ^ the only real case where too many files would slow down your system is where you don't have enough RAM and part of your hard drive is being used as virtual memory, which in turn is taking ages to read because it may be so fragmented. my 2p's worth: run Disk Cleanup first (should be under Accessories, System Tools) and after its scanned tick all boxes except 'compress old files' and 'catalog files' and click 'OK'. This is a good thing to carry out every couple of months or so depending on how much your laptop is used. Next, hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete to bring up Task Manager, click the Processes tab at the top, and tell us how many Processes are running (bottom-left corner). These processes are all the programs you are running, plus all background processes required to keep Windows running, plus anything that's found its way onto your laptop that shouldn't be there. I have 45 at the moment, some people (especially those that like to optimise their PC) will have fewer (perhaps 25), some may have more. The more you've got, the slower your system will run. Next, right-click My Computer and hit Properties. Tell us what processor(s) you have (eg. Pentium 4 3.4Ghz) and how much RAM you have (eg. 2GB). CCleaner as mentioned above is another useful tool that you can download for free (legally!). Doing a defrag (I think this is in System Tools as well) regularly always helps (always do this last after all other tasks like Cleanup, moving or deleting files) as it reorders whatever files remain on your disc.
