  1. I think this is a good idea - keeps it fair and in the open. Another good idea and I'd be happy to step forward too if it came to it - Zedworld have looked after my Z for over 7 years and if it wasn't for them I simply would have given up with the Z a long time ago! If you still have your receipt from the Post Office then certainly put a claim in - you can do it all from the website and other than filling a load of boxes it is relatively straightforward. ...as do I - it shows honesty and a desire to find an amicable solution!
  2. as above really, good singer, but that's what drugs do. hopefully the message gets out to the easily impressionable that drugs are not cool. PS. Amen that Alan!
  3. Totally agree with Gary here - mine is only used as a daily driver - 20 mile round trip each day (half of which is country so it gets a good thrashing) and touch wood it's hardly ever let me down (I say hardly ever due to the water pipes perishing and losing coolant but that was 4 years ago!) and purely because I don't do long distances in it, I find it hard to trust it. Totally unfounded of course - just take some oil, coolant and some tools with you and I'm sure it'll be fine!
  4. welcome to the club Tim
  5. I'm quite happy to help but I'm far from an expert with this system, the only screens I've used are the boost settings and the different displays (someone else installed the system and performed the initial setup). I leave the other menus well alone!
  6. me!! I have the ones at the bottom but 3" instead of 2.5 ;)
  7. I've had one of these for 5 years or so and they're a sexy bit of kit. I suppose the first thing to be aware of and I'm sure you are is that you can quite easily damage your engine if the settings are incorrect. Saying that, if you are patient and experiment carefully then you should be able to squeeze more out of your turbos. Assuming a well running and well maintained engine, then you should be able to hit say 15 or 16psi with those injectors on stock turbos. I take it your intercoolers and radiator are stock? Have you checked for boost leaks, as this will lower your performance and hinder your ability to tune the controller properly? Base (safeish) settings I would try would be: SET 60 GAIN 10 START 11 When I was setting mine up, I would only apply wide open throttle in a high gear (4th or 5th) until I was happy with the maximum boost I was running. Then, with a low GAIN like 9 or 10 I would try flooring it in lower and lower gears until I was happy that it wouldn't overboost too much in 1st. Then I would up the GAIN carefully, (1 each time) until the boost came on as fast as possible, without spiking dangerously. Do a search for E-01 as there are several similar threads to this one. What are your settings at the moment?
  8. jeez I can't believe how quickly the GTR pulled away from the Jaaaaag. 3 secs 0-60 in the wet!!?!
  9. lol help yourself. nah my wheels seem to be holding up so far, fingers crossed. :clover:
  10. Another fantastic evening - nice to meet up with Bantambunny again after way too long - sorry I lost you mate but hope you enjoyed it anyway! And thankfully the weather took a turn for the better, going from grey and 65% chance of rain to a nice hot summer's evening! Here's a link to my Facebook album with a ton of photos from the evening: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150245122582169.315106.608897168&l=72437d02cd I've set the album to public so anyone should be able to see it! Let me know if not and I'll have to post up a select few pics :)
  11. Just a quick thanks to Jeff and Jamie for fixing a few problems with my Z. She boosts like a rocket now and that's with the settings tweaked down for safety. Also my first brake upgrade after 8 years were fitted - 330ml discs and 8-pot calipers (thanks ZX-TT Craig). Just need the last bit of surface rust to be scrubbed off. The knackered mossy old fog lights were removed and replaced with ducts (thanks Car.Mad Dave) - perfect colour match too! The rust in the engine bay was cut out and plates welded in so that's something I don't have to worry about any more. And I just got her home in time to get her to the Ashby Folville car meet where she can show off her new ducts and brakes. Oh and she flew through the MOT as well. :tt1:
  12. Nice interior in this one, and the black/silver gradient down the car looked sweet - sorry I didn't get a chance to chat to you.
  13. A lovely yellow Z N/A - looked fairly stock from the outside. Up for sale.
  14. now that IS in good nick!!!
  15. have you got any footballs kicking around?
  16. welcome to the club :)
  17. that looks sweet mate - absolutely top job there and a cracking idea!
  18. agreed, I'd quite like to see what a carbon-fibre one looks like on mine.
  19. do I see nitrous? engine bay doesn't look particularly cared for :(
  20. I've just got back from watching this at Silverstone   although I did get totally soaked on the way back to the car! Nice of Jensen to give us all a wave before he started qualifying :)
  21. yeah looks like he's tried it on before going by his feedback. if it was a genuine road plate it'd be worth thousands, but as a show plate anyone could knock that up themselves or online for a few notes.
  22. very nice - I love what you've done with the Blitz bits at the top
  23. just passed you again in the same place about an hour ago. I take it you're not on the forum then! (it probably doesn't help me being in a black Civic and not the Z!)
