  1. RIP Jon Egging. Even the best of the best can have accidents :(
  2. I got mine for a) peace of mind as I know there'll be no cracks and boost loss, and b) looks!
  3. Happy belated Birthday Jamie! Hope it was a good'un :pint:
  4. Well spotted - not seen that one before!
  5. If I had to move out of the way of an emergency vehicle with its blues and two's going, I wouldn't think twice about going through a red, so long as I edged out carefully with my hazards on. Even if I got done for it and couldn't defend myself, it could have saved someone's life. But yeah, in all fairness of course you shouldn't get a ticket for it!
  6. I don't know whether it's related or not but since my leaking clutch hydraulic pipe was fixed I've noticed gear changes to be smoother. I've been running a short-shifter for a few years and it's only first gear that I struggle with. Someone suggested the bushing could be a little too large perhaps.
  7. I've got one called g-tac but not used it yet!
  8. the blue one must be me - I drive past the Wigston cop shop every day on the way to work
  9. oh man Im sorry to hear that Chris. :( at least there's no doubt as to fault if it's a rear-ender. I hope you get it sorted out mate
  10. gutted I can't go Ashby tonight - looks like the weather will hold out though!!
  11. Here's an interesting one... ever since owning my Z (over 8 years), the brake warning light (the "Lights" one, not the handbrake one) came ON when I pressed the brake pedal. Because my brake lights have always worked, I assumed that it was there to tell you that the lights were working! After doing a bit of searching on this good forum, it turns out that not only should it warn you that the brake light(s) are NOT working, but also that a rear fog light conversion (which I have had done) will cause the light to come on when braking even though the brake lights are fine. Now no issues here, but recently I noticed that the light now doesn't come on when I brake. The brake lights work perfectly, the rear fog works perfectly, and the "Lights" warning light still comes on when I first turn the key (as part of the startup lights test) so its not the bulb in the dash. Any ideas what would cause this to start happening? Is there something that runs alongside the wiring to the bulb, like a unit somewhere that's failed or a fuse?
  12. yep that's just weird and actually a bit macabre - I don't like seafood and just looking at that plate (even before the poor squid starts dancing) makes me want to hurl!
  13. what a read, and what a shame :( muchos respect to Laurence for doing what he could in the face of all that chaos to get customers' cars back.
  14. a fine vehicle that - congratulations on the purchase!
  15. sheesh that was lucky! I always back off the throttle when I see a plastic bag/newspaper floating around the road!
  16. Happy Birthday Alan!!!
  17. I'll see if I can get hold of the photo on my workmate's phone and post it up
  18. Hi Chris - yeah I thought about Dave too but I think he has a standard front bumper (at least going by his Rides) - whoever it was, if you saw a tall chap about to climb into your passenger seat, it was my workmate thinking it was my car, lol!
  19. A mate of mine spotted you pull over near the Audi dealership near Blackbird Road - he thought it was me cos he was waiting for me to pick him up - unfortunately I was broken down a few streets away! :( Stock lip spoiler, multispoke wheels, what looks like a Scarab front bumper and a vented headlight panel. I never saw it myself but he took a crap photo of it. Not Vodkashots, not ArtZtogo, not Boldy, not Peach!! Who else has got a blue Z in the midlands!!!!
  20. Happy Birthday Steve!!!
