What type battery ?
I swear by the CTEK maintenance charger mentioned above - great piece of kit which I always attach if I'm leaving the Z for longer than 6 days without driving. I also have the Banner battery as well (well, 2 actually cos you never know!)

I saved a Z from the scrapper!
well done on saving that Z - externally she looks a beaut, it would have been a crime to have scrapped her.

The Police academy dude

Serious power drain somewhere :(
A brief update today - I had to swap batteries cos I'd accidentally tripped the charger socket and she'd drained herself again and she wouldn't let me put her back on charge without sounding the alarm. I fired her up and she runs ok, and when I pull the positive lead off the battery she still runs by herself, so this means the alternator is ok right? If so then yes that's good but unfortunately I have to keep investigating where the hell the problem is :( Probably more for my benefit a few weeks ago I went through the driver's footwell fuses and made these voice notes to myself: Far bottom-left 10A fuse (THEFT LEFT ROOM DOOR LOCK) drops current from 5.6A to 1.7A but passenger door doesn't lock while fuse is out Top row, 3rd from back, 10A CLEARANCE ILLUM - mine had a 15A fuse in, when removed, drops to 0.6A. When headlights on, front sidelights don't come on, nor illum dash, not rear fog switch Rear wiper removed - 10A fuse - leave removed due to having no rear wiper - top row near middle 20A cigarette lighter fuse - no cigarette lighter - leaving removed as well

Geometry set up costs??
there's a difference between a quick alignment down yer local Kwik Fit and a full custom tuning mate ;) I could have got it done cheaper if I searched around but they were local (on the way back from Zedworld actually) and for me it was a one-off thing so I wanted a good job doing.

New MOT manual for 2012
I don't see the point in making MOT tests ever more stringent - cars are getting safer and more modern, and cheaper, so why treat cars like they're all 30-year-old bangers with the doors about to fall off. Sarcasm aside, I can't honestly remember the time I last saw a car or even a van in an unroadworthy state!

Geometry set up costs??
I had mine set up a couple of years ago - 6 hour full custom setup with road test was about £300. very very happy indeed with the results and money well spent!

japspeed elbows and decat pipes
I can't tell exactly mate because they fitted the whole new exhaust from downpipes to backbox. May be best to PM the guys and get a rough quote? I was having other jobs done at the same time like single-piece prop and HID conversion so I was more worried about the overall price (which as usual was reasonable!)

japspeed elbows and decat pipes
Zedworld fitted my AMS ones which are larger than the Japspeed ones that they replaced. Jamie told me it was a b*gger of a job and I believe him but it was done with the engine in!

Is anybody on here running Greddy smic's?
I have Z1 SMICs installed - I don't know how they compare to the other aftermarket ones but compared to the stock ones they were hyawje!
