Not sure if piesoup is about much at the moment, I think he said they were the ebay ones.
  2. Welcome mate, dont suppose you know any of the local plumbers do you???? :)
  3. A mate at work does all this hong kong fuey stuff, watched him drop a man to the floor for being a right twat, he just seemed to walk up to him and tap him, if I hadnt been watching I would have thought the bloke just fell over, needless to say I now give him all my dinner money everyday.
  4. I was always told never to allow the fuel tank to run dry as it causes the engine to sieze. Once you know roughly how long a tank is going to last try and bring it in before it starves of fuel.
  5. I guess I broke it about every other time I used it with an average repair bill of probably £30, big car parks are probably the best place, keep away from speed humps as it will take off, oh and you will spend ages cleaning it inside.
  6. Still jealous of your car though Pete ;)
  7. Schumacher fusion, thats the one I had, it was geared up to do something like 80mph by the time I had finished, oh and the amount of things you can buy for them is unreal, it soon becomes just like the Zed, a very expensive toy, great fun and all your friends will want one.
  8. Victor is getting on a bit so excuse the typos :p
  9. How much will you have spent by the time it is complete? thats assuming you dont loose interest with it taking so long, I bought one off ebay for about £150 for my son, he didnt get to play with it much and it certainly did more that 50mph, where I work we have some of the biggest warehouses in the UK whenever one became empty I would take it for a spin and soon have a crowd gathering wanting to play, thats until management stopped me cos it was a fire risk !!!!! not seen the ad but bet it DeAgostini they seem to run loads of magazines like this.
  10. Yup, they do work by stopping the firewall flexing as you brake and Danny DTA on here sells them.
  11. Sounds like you have an aftermarket mechanical oil pressure guage and the line has come off / broken, easy fix but a bit messy as you can see.
  12. Im sure someone in your area has conzult and the knowledge to use it properly that would be willing to come round and see whats happening, I know I have done it for a few in my area, why not start a thread up asking for someone nearby with a conzult to come round, a bribe of tea and biscuits is all it takes for me.
  13. My advice would have to be take it to a Z specialist, get them to run Conzult and see what that throws out, if changing the PTU made it worse was it replaced with a second hand unit or series 2 unit? posssibly a fault in the wiring to the PTU as changing it made it worse, is the TPS set correctly, again the best way to do this is with a Conzult. Is the MAF working?? is there anyone near you that would be willing to swap bits over to find the problem? but again the stress free way to get the car running properly is take it to someone and pay them.
  14. Metallic grey Zed parked up in Chapel Lane, Gt Blakenham near Ipswich today Friday 30th December, looked like it was modded a bit but hard to tell in the snow.
  15. G reg silver Zed parked up on Stanley Avenue in Ipswich today, Friday 30th December, couldnt see much else due to the layer of snow over it.
  16. Your too pretty to go to jail Si, mind you at least you would not have to worry about being single any more
  17. Take it for a good run and it will quieten down, its just cos its been sat a while.
  18. Hi Dave, hope you had a good chrimbo, those brakes look awesome, I have some stainless steel brake lines stitting about here that I will fit this year and just got a quick question for you, I have read on here about them coming with line locators, I aint got them, did you? if so just exactly what is the line locators? is it just the standard Nissan clip that holds them in place? cheers mate.
  19. I think they are shut till the 3rd of January mate.
  20. Off to work in an hour so will have some fun in my lil Golf as the roads are all white, hope to finish about 6 in the morning so will find a quiet car park then for a little play.
  21. Been a few people ask and the general answer is no, but I dont know of anyone thats bought one and tried so its a little hard to judge, what I do believe to be a much better idea is a grounding kit, a couple of traders on here sell them, I personally have one of shrimpys kits, theres loads of comments on here about them for you to read up on.
  22. Good old faithful spaniels ears
  23. I was talking to the bloke that did some of the servicing and he praised the car up, I think Jack on here knows the last owner quite well, the tinted rear lights go well with the theme of the car.
  24. Welcome Chris, if I am right you bought that car from Ipswich, if its the one I know of you shouldnt have too many problems there.
