That is another option but how many times have I read on here about people having problems caused by these.
  4. ok, I will do a quick search, I had three but do you think I can remember where I put them :D

Best way in my opinion is to get it rechipped, they are available from Greddy, DTA and a few other places.
  7. I think, and I may be wrong but astrassuck was caught out on a technicality with the insurance, it was not a clear cut case of just driving without insurance, calling him a muppet may have been a bit unfair.
  8. Buy a Fiat Panda 950cc, it has to be one of the cheapest cars to insure and although its a pile of crap for a car its still better than you had for the last year :D
  9. Nice one Dave, means you can sit back and enjoy Christmas now. :)
  10. only cos it was £200 and I miss my Zed so it keeps me busy :D
  11. Looks like my memory was right then, weird how it was on here already today.
  12. I have laid my hands on another Golf cheap that has noisey tappets, I seems to remember years ago someone told me that you can use ATF added to the oil then let it run for a bit to flush it. Just want to see if this will quieten them down, if I am right then how much and how long should I leave it in for before I drain and refill?
  13. Yup. Pirtec do some really nice bling ones.
  14. Could do, how far are you from Leicester?
  15. Going from South London to Leicester on Wednesday if I can help in any way I would be more than happy.
  16. AndyZ supercar parts and ricerocket, both traders on here.
  17. I think they were off a VR6 I picked them up on my travels this week. Bloke gave them to me as he was fed up looking at them, nearly new tyres as well, shame they are Nankang's.
  18. I know they are a bit small but I am resisting the temptation to spend money on this car as I should be selling it again next spring.
  19. Help me decide which wheels to keep on my Golf, front or rears.
  20. Had a carwash rip the bumper of a car of mine once, not used one since and never will.
  21. Well so far I have tried Castrol RS, Silkolene ProS, Mobile 1 and Millers and I find Millers to be the best but thats just going by how the engine sounds and runs, not a very technical and precise way to measure how good an oil is but all I can offer.
  22. I am no oil expert so this is just my opinion but, the oil visibly looks very very thin as you pour it, my engine did not sound as quiet while ProS was in it and also from talking to people on this forum and reading posts from other people that have used it and blamed their problems on it I based my opinion, also I have noticed on other car forums that oilman goes on he always recommends ProS no matter what car, now is that because its the one he makes most profit on???
  23. Your the first person I have seen recommend ProS on here other than Oilman who sells it, I bought a case, tried it once in my Zed and then used the rest in my lawn mower, that blew up
  24. Use search and find 100's of different opinions, I have tried a few different ones and settled on Millers 10W60 and I believe its one that Ryan recommends so must be good.
  25. My car is at Ztech so cant give you an exact answer but if you find the centre of the bumper then work your way about a foot across to the drivers side you should fine it. About where the dot is on my pic
