  1. I rear-ended a Tranny (ooer) in my 200SX in that very situation. Muppets slamming their brakes on on a wet road as an Ambulance pushed through a red light :headvswal
  2. Saturday is Boot Camp, in other words a practice session. Night time there is music & beer aplenty :D Sunday is the competition proper, plus stands and quite a bit to look at as well.
  3. The main site is http://www.totb.co.uk. This link gives some info: http://www.totb.co.uk/cms/component/content/article/149.html
  4. Hello & welcome to the club :)
  5. Hello & welcome back!
  6. Welcome to the club! I think Zeds & GTiRs go hand-in-hand and compliment each other well. My Pulsar would give all but the most powerful of Zeds a severe beating until the brick-like aerodynamics overcame the ridiculous power-to-weight advantage (somewhere north of 130mph)
  7. There's definitely something available for everyone when it comes to this club, no difference in my eyes between someone that simply has an interest in the marque and only posts on the forum, to someone that only gets there Zed out on a sunny day for the ladies, to someone that goes to every show and keeps model cars on their mantelpiece  I personally love a good pub meet, don't mind the odd static show but my heart lies at the end of the 1/4 mile strip or buried deep within a timing map. I look forward to TOTB as others plan for JAE, or a normal person awaits Christmas :wack: No one should feel that they are less of a deserving owner and member of a club because they choose not to attend a local or national event. People are different and take their enjoyment from different aspects of ownership.

I would gladly take up the mantle of MEO working alongside Ian. In that instance, it would be best for me to share REO duties with a fellow Midlander, perhaps one based towards the west side in order to cover more bases thoroughly throughout the area :) Exciting times :thumbup1:
  9. To get you started: Hook it up to Consult and check all sensor readings are within spec Determine if it's a single cylinder (play musical coil packs to find the culprit) Check electrical connections Check condition of plugs (they need changing going by what you've said) Whilst plugs are out do a compression test That little lot will take approximately 90 mins.
  10. Saves me typing this out :D :D Really struggle with static shows, did so many back in the day they just don't do it for me anymore really. Happy as Larry as long as there's drfiting, track or drag strip action to watch or participate in. So that's BDC, Time Attack, the various RWYB days at Pod & Shakespeare and of course Ten Of The Best. As for road trips, the Mecca that is Le Mans. Got mates that go every year, but never had time. I'd find time for a Zed expedition, that would be amazing :cool3: I've heard Snowdonia is pretty nice :)
  11. Could you make a sticky thread in the North East section please? :)
  12. I'll see if I can make this. It's good there are some meets happening in the Midlands, if I'm made aware of them then I can get threads stickied and increase exposure. Best to give me as much notice as possible, so people have plenty of time :)
  13. Turning the boost down won't richen up the AFRs, the Nissan ECUs don't work like that, plus the map that's on this car is good for 12.08@115mph 1/4 at 1.9 bar ;) Without having the car for a road test at the very least, and preferably for some dyno time, it's impossible to say. Need to monitor AFR & knock, not really worth trying to guess from plug colouration.

You attend a round of TA as you would any show or track day as a spectator :)
  15. Relations will never improve unless steps are taken towards building bridges. 99% of the Zed community simply don't care about the politics. The UK Zed community isn't large enough to sustain two clubs/forums without it always being based on personal gripes rather than just a different choice of forum. If you're banned from one forum, you're going to moan about it on the other, that's a given. Personally, I find this fractured & acrimonious situation in the community very disappointing and no doubt it's all rather puzzling to the casual bystander, too. This public thread is making a solid step towards rectifying that, given that the majority of banned members this applies to will be on the other forum. I can see no reason for any negativity, nit-picking or Power-To-The-People type suggestions this early on, personally speaking. It's a Good Thing whichever way you look at it, but it's ultimately up to the committee to decide who gets a reprieve as they are the ones chosen to run the club we all subscribe to :)
  16. Last time I spoke to Dave, he said to enter individually, then put the team forward. He didn't get back to me last time I tried contacting him though... I've not heard anything regarding official 300zx.co.uk presence, so it may just be a case of doing it for oneself. If it's to go ahead as a 300zx.co.uk team, I'll need to sort out banners, marquee etc and things are getting tight in all fairness, despite me starting this thread 10th January. I will be running the MR2 if it's done in time, (otherwise doing it for fun in the Zed) and possibly supporting a couple of cars as well. There is also a chance of having my entry fees covered if I join another team :shifty: Regardless, it's going to be good to see some Z32 representing at TOTB. Great for the marque :)

I have 2 options for dyno meets currently, Leicester & Nuneaton, with the latter being more suited for the West Mids contingent :)

PM me some some details and I will get on it.

Will be arranging a Rolling Road meet soon in Leicester when time allows, most likely in August after TOTB :)
  20. Stage 3 chip you say. +70bhp!
  21. An NA with a 294bhp & 242lbft RR printout. If accurate I bet it's lovely to drive.
  22. Hello & welcome. R33 GTST or GTR?
  23. AFR flatlined at less than or exactly 10:1 apart from that small hump where it leans out to 10.6:1. Way too rich, the map on the chip is terrible :(
