  4. i've got a SR6R (i think). Depends where you mount it. i've used the windscreen suction mount and got it low on the far right hand side sitting on the dashboard. Found it the best place to see display especially in sunlight. Took the power from instrument cluster and fed lead out of back of top cover. HTH nick

Got stuck at lights two cars back so lost it. Second was a grey jap parked all day in Goodmayes (Granton road i think) high spoiler blingy wheels. Looked Good :) :) nick

  14. From one problem to the next. sorted power steering pump now just had the pleasure of running on 5 cylinders for the lastday or so. Used Datascan and found no.3 not working. After sh***ing myself took off throttle cover, messed around with loom and it came back to life. Also noticed cover of Ptu and cas connectors breaking up. when i pull on ptu wires (gently) engine speed changes. I know that this brittle/broken wire thing seems to be a common problem on here. Is there an easy fix or can i get new connectors and/or loom to sort it. Am hoping there must be a solution cos i dont think it's going to survive for much longer. cheers nick
  15. Am sure you're sorted by now but got mine from Danny DTA. Saved all the messing about. :D nick
  16. i've got a 320mm and you cant see top of dials. better off with 350mm. also have cheapo boss. done away with hicas (hicas eliminator and removed bulb from panel :D ). relocated cruise. also had to move horn button cos my boss was really crap. think momo ones are better. indicators cancel ok. Lot of work to save £70ish. may be worth just splashing out. hth nick
  17. yeh, problem sorted, sort of. Took sensor unit apart, couldn't see any visible probs. Tried resoldering along fuse but didn't work. In the end by-passed unit completely (with offside wires only). Problem solved. could be a long term temporary fix :) Belgium here we come   :nana2:
  18. Hi mate, Thats the sensor i was talking about. didn't realise it is repairable. gonna whip it out now and have a go. you could be a lifesaver :) many thanks nick
  19. Yes mate did try other bulbs, and no it doesn't sound stupid cos i usually miss the obvious thanks anyway
  20. From one problem to the next. managed to change power steering pump but now i've gone and blown rear lights. Had one rear bulb (out of two) out on tail lights. bulb was working intermittently so decided to clean up bulb holder. plonker that i am forgot to turn lights off first   there was a quick spark and now both tail light bulbs on offside dont work. looked at fuses but nearside ok and brake lights working. Am guessing that i've blown stop/tail light sensor. can anyone confirm this? bloody typical am off to Bruges tomorrow with car. worked my nuts off to change power steering pump in time and now this. am well fed up  Still gonna go. if it gets dark will use fog lights i suppose. nick
  21. Thanks for that mate but think i've got one sorted locally. cheers anyway
  22. thanks mate, more skinned knuckles doh nick
  23. damn it was leaking from p/steering pulley. well knackered fluid pouring straight out with engine off. just worked out when it happened. hit a speed hump at low speed back in july. that pushed bottom rad pipe (hard pipe kit) in to pulley. ended up with major water leak. thought that was it but must have damaged pulley. still it lasted another 2 months  ffs bloody speed humps! Any advice on changing pump. guessing it's a rad out job but any other help would be great. thanks nick
