  3. Most contracts are 24 months now. I have been with 3 for 2+ yrs. I just upgraded. £29 upfront for Galaxy S3 handset. Unlimited internet, 2000 mins 5000 texts 5000 mins three to three £33/ month. Good service. Happy with the deal and phone. Samsung phones have 24 months guarantee too.
  4. Swb door glass and qrtr glass are different
  5. For "pound per horsepower" value for money you cant beat a chevy/gm v8. Dead simple engine. One camshaft, pushrods, two valves per cylinder and as much horsepower as you want them to produce. Chevy have tried quad cams and multi valvers in thier v8s (corvette ZR1- what an engine) but have always reverted back to the their traditional simple-ish design. Not engineering excellence or marque purity like a nissan v8 but a much cheaper and easier route to big power. I'd love a big horse nissan V8 in mine but it would be easier to go GM. Whatever you choose, if you do- good luck.
  6. Small block chevy all the way. Most plentiful, cheapest engine for bits, can make any horsepower you need, easy to get them to run. http://www.partsworldperformance.com http://www.dynotorque.co.uk http://www.summitracing.com And google David Vizard, this guy is a brit who is an expert ( here and in USA) in these engines.
  7. Good luck mate. There are several bodyshops around me. The one i use does all sorts of work but mainly cash jobs and trade jobs. They have room for about 7 cars inside plus the booth. The guy is so busy that when i pass at 11pm on fri and sat nights they are still working! They are always booked out 2/3 weeks ahead. I get 3 or 4 jobs a year done over the last few years and only once could they do iwith less than a weeks notice. There is obviously plenty of work about and if you are able to turn out good work i'm sure you'll do really well. Good luck
  8. Standard nissan pressure sender is known for failing and giving spurious readings. You really want to get a mechanical pressure gauge and check the pressure to be sure the engine is still making good oil pressure.
  9. Nice looking Z. Good luck selling it.
  10. Zeds are going through what nearly all modern-ish classics have gone through. The values dip right down, owners break then, the bits and the cars continue downwards. Cars get scrapped and lots of the parts become worthless. Then as time goes by no one really notices then one day they suddenly become a rare sight and the values start to climb and folk realise there arent as many left as they thought. The nice ones see their values level out. Then slowly climb. Or rapidly climb if youre luck. Look at sierra cosworths 10/12 years ago. In 1999 I sold a tidy running jensen interceptor with a spares car for £1100....look at them now. I sold an motd 1971 v8 camaro for £850.... I wish i had them now. Sell it as a going concern. You"ll dump most of it if you break it
  11. .....just for a look....... http://www.partsworldperformance.com
  12. If you are spending that kind of money, you should think about a modern alloy chevy LS engine swap. Very reliable. 5.7 litres and up plus 500 easy bhp. Google "Craig Taylor RX7" This guy has a business fitting these things to all manner of cars. Some making 1200bhp. ( Though I think that level of power would cost more than £10k) Worth a look.
  13. Your belts are probably fine but are just locked. You need to make sure they're totally level then you'll be able to draw the belt. You might need to unbolt the reel and jiggle it in order to unlock the belt. When its free, pull out a good few feet and put a clip on it to stop it from reeling again. Then bolt the reel in again. Undo the clip and the belt should reel in again without locking. Good luck
  14. Bilt Hamber is one of the very best. Dinitrol is good stuff so is 3M cavity wax. Waxoyl isnt as good these but its better than nothing. Just my opinion based on restorations and trying them out over the last 25 yrs. I used to think waxoyl was brilliant stuff till i used these.
  15. I hope you get a decent result with this. I had a similar situation with a classic a while back. Agreed value on my policy but the other insurer valued it less. I was told that id have to claim my own policy in order to get the agreed value. My insurer advised me that if they didnt get all of the agreed value back from the other insurer, that my next premium would rise and the claim would be treated as my fault. In the end I negotiated with the other insurer and got a bit more plus the salvage which i then had repaired in a "classic friendly" repairer. Good luck.
  16. Bad luck mate. That'll be an insurance write off.
  17. i had a set of Khumos fitted to UK wheels a while back. Came from black circles at approx £285 ish plus fitting
  18. There is a wide body Z project just come on Ebay. It's black with a tub style tailgate, looks like something I've seen on Z centre website at some point. I am on my phone and dont know how to cut and paste link. Car is located in studley
  19. Borrow or buy a borescope, then you can have a look inside the cavities of the car. I have used one with a 7mm diameter tip to look at several cars recently. You can see into sills, box sections, door/roof pillars and chassis legs. What an eye opener! The zed has 3 or 4 skins/ layers inside the sills and trying to assess the condition without a scope is just guess work. Good luck.
  20. Years ago, I had a pair of very slightly warped discs skimmed, when they were refitted, the pulse changed to a violent shake at any speed above 10mph, discs were not skimmed straight and true. I'd check with gauge for confirmation, though you will possible see it with the eye if it's bad enough.
