  1. I remember Roger Moore more than the rest, but it really has to be the original - Sean Connery. Who the fook's Daniel Craig? :D
  2. So sorry to hear about this, it must be heart-wrenching. Love from us all here.
  3. I had a minor shunt on the back of my first Z and it was written off so I decided to break it. I eventually bought another straight car with a fooked engine cheap and swapped motors. The bits I sold more than paid for the new shell which was way better than the old one anyway. After the insurance payout, my car stands me at nothing and that's with the manual conversion and mods. Just a thought?
  4. Cheers Dewi. If you still need any help with that pod, my number is 07776393308. I'll be at the Uni all week so if you're near Bangor at any time, do call in. Finally got the 18s on this afternoon at Kwik-Fit on Beach Road. If you need any tyres changing in future I would recommend speaking to Martin as he did all 4 with balancing for £35  He even threw in 6 chrome valves with caps for a fiver.
  5. Welcome to the club matie. This is a crazy forum, but there's loads of expert advice available here too - well, unless it's from me :D
  6. Had another run in with an M3 today. I must say that he did a better job than the last M3 driver. He had a 1/4 mile head start but I gained on him up to over a ton but at 140, he gained a bit of ground. I eventually shifted to 5th and reached 150, expecting to fall behind, but started to gain on him at a good rate. I was very close at 160, but by then I was passing an on-ramp which is well used by the old bill, also I didn't feel confident about my OSF tyre so I braked. He braked also and we both turned off at the same junction. We probably only covered just over a mile at high speed. Nice to know that the Zed's still got it! Oh - I had a big welder, gas bottle and trolley jack in the boot too
  7. Sorry, I should have said - it was a Mondeo not a Skyline lol!
  8. Went to see that film back in '96. At the time I thought it was the worst film I'd ever seen - sorry.
  9. Someone did exactly the same thing to me last year but unfortunately for him, when he got over the blind hill, there was a copper waving him in for a ticket
  10. :D A bloke in work once asked me for some help. He wanted to know why his dipstick wasn't registering any oil after putting in TWO full 4.5 Litre bottles of oil . That was a very funny day. His car was like the Exxon Valdez
  11. It's windy as fook, hailing/raining here. The sun came out for about a minute earlier, was tempted to get the sun lounger out and put on the Bermudas. Never mind, there's always next year.
  12. Gas fired power stations don't help. Last year I saw a huge one near Las Vegas which supply most of the city's power. Surely those fookers emit more CO2 than all our cars put together. Lake Mead is drying up so even the Hoover Dam will generate less power as time goes by. I'd rather have Nuclear Power Stations, they are ultra-efficient and, let's face it, reliable. The only reason Chernobyl went into meltdown was because it was run by the Russian government!
  13. Those back lights look like they belong to a Nissan Bluebird?
  14. Yep, that's the one. I never asked for an upgrade. I set up the account when I was a student and that's the way I've left it (over 10 years.) THEY decided to change it and charge me for the privilege. Cheeky robbing fookers. I hope you all get your money back. I rang them up instead of writing purely because I wanted something doing about it straight away. If you ring them with an official complaint then you're in the system - just a thought.
  15. It was soooo nice to get one over on them for a change :mac1: :D They had changed my account to an "Account Plus" and were billing me every month for £12.95? Not sure what's so "Plus" about it.
  16. Wow that's a great and thoughtful surprise. Hope you have a great time!
  17. The weather here is completely different to what I remember growing up in the 70's. We used to get hot summers which lasted longer than a day, as they do now, and cold winters with lots of snow which didn't melt within 48 hours. I have seen changes in only 30 years, so I really am concerned about where we'll be in 50 more years' time. I think it's selfish to say "I will be long gone by then" because if our grandparents and great-grandparents had had the same attitude over WWII then most of us wouldn't be here now. But hey - we're in the 21st Century now so it's cool to be selfish - right?
  18. Hi Dewi. How r u? It's a shame they crashed it after all that work! Did you flash me before on the A5025 at around 4PM? I can't think of anyone else who would be in an Audi S4/RS4? Cheers Dave
  19. Thanks Jez. I saw that way back in 1990 and remember thinking 'One day I'll own one.' Didn't really think I would though! There was another article in another mag (can't remember which) where a Z was taken to the US to follow the same route as that used by 'Kowalski' in the 1970 cult film 'Vanishing Point.' I must look for that in my loft!
  20. That ALWAYS comes on at higher volume in the next room when I'm on this forum, the number of times I've nearly kicked fook out of the TV is amazing when that's been on :hurl: I'm glad I'm not insane and other people hate it too  :D
  21. I once noticed a tenner missing from my wallet when my Son was 11 and boy did he pay for it. Needless to say he's never done it, or anything like it since and he's nearly 14 now. I've only had to show him the errors of his ways twice in his lifetime, and he's turning out to be a good lad. I reckon some of these tw@ts have NEVER been show right from wrong because parents and teachers are afraid of the consequences. When my Son was 10 he once tried it on with the old "I can report you to Childline if you smack me" so I retorted with "OK then. It's fine by me if you want foster parents." He soon shut up then
  22. I know the sound effects aren't real and if the video is CGI, then it's very convincing.
  23. I'd be interested to know how you get on. I've just hand delivered one to the G/Fs Halifax bank because they've just billed her for £39 for a refused £50 bank transfer! She asked for the transfer FFS. They could just have said 'no' but preceeded to submit it then bill her for its refusal afterwards :xxx: She's been really careful and I know it's a matter of pence. I've already closed all my accounts with them after being caught out in the past and been rammed for £100s.
  24. Oh I dunno. It might get trapped between her teeth though - oh no what have I just said  :D
  25. I've only seen one DeLorean in Universal Studios LA which is a bit of an obvious place to find one . They have an N/A V6 Renault 30 engine which produces around 140 BHP. The only reason I know this is because I've owned a Renault 30TX for 15 years. I'm hoping to revive it one day as it's 26 years old now and yes it's very unreliable lol!
