If it's a 4.2 XJ6 then it should have 250 bhp.

Name That Film, Multiple......
Must be after the Spy Who Loved Me because it's a W reg (1980-81) and it's a Turbo Esprit. The Spy Who Loved Me was circa 1977 and an NA. Hmm - Octopussy???

How heavy is the original rear spoiler ??????
Nice work. I'm shocked at the weight of the old one. Are there any mole grips left in Airdrie :D Oh - received the belts from Ceejay today. Cheers Dave

Blair names the day
What really pisses me off at the moment is that lighter sentences are being dished out because of overcrowding in our prisons. They seems to forget about population growth and immigration so why the fook don't they inject more money into building more prisons instead of fighting that lost-cause in Iraq? Even if things were settled over there, Britain don't stand to get ANY of the City's rebuilding contracts - fact. Instead they build more housing for sponging chavs/chavettes to breed yet more criminals. Soft-assed country IMO. I used to watch the criminals of Preston laugh at the juditial system. I remember one tw@t, who stole a Porsche and crashed it into a family's house and then got let off due to insufficient evidence, claiming compensation from the police for wasting his time and proceeded to brag about it afterwards. That was in 1994 so what the fook is going on nowadays!

Nicely summed up. If only the government would tackle ONE of those problems, let alone be blind to all of them.

Remove Brunstrom Petition!
He visited my place of work this year, damn - I missed my chance :D. His whole approach is wrong IMO. The location of many mobile cameras is simply evidence that safety cannot be a primary concern. We had a recent limit change from 40 down to 30. A camera van was poised for action on the very day of the limit change and it's position was parallel to the 30mph warning sign - nowhere near the junction which had been an accident blackspot. Convicted motorists have since had their convictions quashed because not only were there no speed limit countdown signs erected by the local authority, but they didn't allow motorists sufficient time to get used to the change. His attitude just gets people's backs up. If I drove at a legal 30 mph through my village in the morning I would most likely run someone over by the school, but I don't need "Nanny" there to tell me to slow down. Waste of public money IMO, more people slow down for the LED "reminder" signs which cost far less.

34 Mile Hillman Avenger anyone?
Is this the Tiger then? Looks identical to the one on the transporter!

34 Mile Hillman Avenger anyone?
I'm pretty sure this fuzzy image is of an Avenger. I frame grabbed it off an old film of the 1972 Preston Guild parades. I was given this film recently and it even has footage of my Dad in it who died 32 years ago

Hesitation in damp weather at high load/rpm
Cheers for all the info guys. I want to make something lightweight and without restricting the airflow if that's possible!!
-
Hesitation in damp weather at high load/rpm
I'll try & knock something up, if that fails then I'll swap the HKS for an Apexi. Glad it's a common problem and not something else! Thanks for the tips.

Hesitation in damp weather at high load/rpm
I've noticed that in damp conditions my car seems to hesitate, but only when opened out and with fairly high rpms. As the coil packs are not exposed, I could only put this down to the mushroom filter being rubbish and allowing moisture to hit the AFM wire. Has anyone else had this problem and would an Apexi sort it out? Cheers Dave

highest mileage?
My original zed had 113,000 miles on it and ran fine until someone rammed into it.

Zed stolen by a fellow Zedder ?
Great news. Hope it's untouched for you. Years ago my brother was carjacked and his 280ZX was later found 400 miles away intact, so you never know.

Hi all I'm new to the site but not to Z's
Welcome to the club, that's a nice Zed you've got there. I've got a friend who lives near Raleigh, he's been in my Z over here and now wants one himself
