Crocodile Attacks Zoo Worker
The 17-year-old reptile is one of a pair of Nile crocodiles kept by the Kaohsiung zoo. Well we were all tw@ts at that age. It was just a hormone thing :D

camber probs
If you don't mind me asking how much would it cost for a full adjustment by the garage who did this for you? I was recently quoted £75 by a local performance specialist for setting camber, caster and toe. I reminded him that only the toe was adjustable and the price dropped to £25

Code 34 Again

Evo 6 brake discs?
Thanks guys. It would be really useful to have the dimensions.

Code 34 Again
You need to check the resistance from pin 23, on the loom side, to ground. It'll be less than 1 Ohm if it's a total short. The previous owner fooked about with the loom until the cows came home. I hate that coont :mac1:

Picked up the pentroof z today !!!
Well I wouldn't kick it out of my garage. Fantastic car/spec. I bet the M5 owner had a shock!

Welsh Meet
NO! It's a shame that it's such a drive to the South, otherwise us Gogs would be at every meet

Code 34 Again
Check that it isn't shorted to ground like mine was! I got a code 34 after doing exactly what you've done. That's why I put the resisitor inside the ECU in the end and chopped the short-circuited wire on the outside of the ECU (Pin 23).

Evo 6 brake discs?
Cheers guys, I bid on some Brembos with rotors but got outbid in the dying seconds. I tried to snipe it by VNCing to a more reliable MAC in work but couldn't manage it in time - mainly due to a nagging bird LOL!

Evo 6 brake discs?
Has anyone tried the 320mm discs from an EVO6 on a Z? I believe someone on here has adapted the calipers

Smithy! what a guy
I once got a Fidanza flywheel from Smithy and we discovered that the ring gear had been put on in reverse  . Smithy sent me an RPS one as a replacement at no extra charge

Switchable ECU
Using optos is a great idea. I can see that one is controlling A15 but isn't the other connected to OE?
-
Switchable ECU
IIRC doesn't the 'dual map' chip just use the switch to address the upper memory bank by changing the MSB address line? If so then can't you use a bigger 8-bit EPROM than a 27512 or do they become 16-bit after that?

Can Anyone Helpppp???
I'm sure I've still got a known-good CAS but it's bearing is a little noisy. Would do for testing though. Shame though cos I was in Preston yesterday. I'll have a look in the garage if you think it'd be any use??

code 33 & code 34
Sounds like you have a break in the loom from the ECU to the connector which plugs into the det sensor loom (the short lead which goes under the plenum). I'd meter the wires from the ECU to the det sensor loom first. If it's open circuit then you could either rewire it or trace/repair it. If the det sensor and/or loom is duff too, I'd put the resistor inside the ECU. Can't remember what the pin numbers are now though.

chipping standard car
If you can stretch the budget, then I believe a boost controller is better because it reduces the boost 'spikes' which can cause detonation for a short period of time when the throttle is opened quickly. Also in the wet, it's useful to lower the boost right down so you don't over-cook it when exiting corners!

Landing in a microlight in a cross wind isn't quite as graceful!
