  2. disks are ebc, grooved for free by my mate, basically got at cost that he pays
  3. got the disks at mates rates (£150) then paid 70 ish for the brackets. well worth it, painted the calipers red too with a 6 quid tin of spray, think that makes the car go faster:rofl::rofl::rofl:
  4. Loads better, and thats with basic 25 quid mintex pads, no more waitin for them to warm up, once i put on some either ferrodo or hawk pads on there im sure they will be even better. defo worth doing if you got a spare couple hundred quid.
  5. brackets and bolts stock sized disks comparison 324mm disks fitted with wheel back on and some random pics
  6. guess ill be nominating you in future bud, looks mint
  7. ecu is small black box located to the left of the clutch pedal, its quite high up and has a green hitachi sticker on there, its quite hard to get to and may need to get upside down on the drivers seat to see it. ill get a pic if i have one
  8. making me hungry, i quite fancy some pan fried thinly cut smoked ham served between 2 thickly cut slices of roasted bread drizzled in tomato puree (bacon on toast)
  9. ive had this week off and got next week off too, done loads to the brakes of the car this week and loved everty minuite, dressing the engine up next week, braided steel hard pipes............MMMMMMMM!
  10. front on i dont think the 300 looks as good as the gtr but side on it looks the best out of the 3 by miles!!!!
  11. Biffy rule, simple plan ive never heard ov
  12. falkens on 19" rims, bout £110 a tyre and are really good
  13. Far too lazy for the wire brush thing, not sure what to do with the nissan logo, think i may just leave them all 1 colour, dont want to give the paint any opportunity to start flaking over time.
  14. lots of paper and masking tape and caliper cleaned 1 coat of paint more coats of paint lost count how many coats of paint paper removed and pads back in wheel back on and DONE! Massive disks tomorrow and caliper refurb coming soon.
  15. i was only gonna put 6 on but works out cheaper per month to put 12 on.
  16. ive just put 12 months on this morning, cost £185.00 or 101.75 for 6 months.
  17. anybody any ideas on grooves, from what i can see the average is around 10 but why???
  18. i know who you mean, fooking stunning pal:rofl::rofl::rofl:
  19. ok cheers guys, grooved it is then, so how may grooves per disk, i had some with 20 on each disk but got the impression this was too many even though i never actually fitted them to find out with 20 grooves on stock sized disks
  20. having some 324mm disks made up and was wondering what people thoughts were on whether to have grooved, drilled or a combination of the 2, and how many of each to have on the disk. ive heard some say drilled disks can crack if they get too hot, too many grooves reduces the contact area on a disk, the truth is i have no idea so advice would be appreciated thanks guys ps -will mainly be used on motorway runs and the odd race from the lights against anything that want to, but will prob take in on a few track days if the results are good enough.
  21. isnt that the idea, then it would take much less time to slow you down, a bigger diameter on the same hub should mean greater slowing power, i am also going to rebuild the calipers to give a better bite and am putting ferrodo pads on there, better than a 600 quid pair of brembos, which i dont think are that good having driven a few cars with them fitted.
  22. gonna rebuild the calipers in a few months, just want to see the diffrence with the bigger disks first. thanks for the advice though, cheers
  23. just brand new 324mm disks with my existing stock calipers and new pads
