std injectors
the main problem with running high duty cycles is you loose the safety margin - e.g. you're running around at 95% then go for a drive on a nice cool morning thinking "what's that rattling sound?"!

Injector Query!
Yes they can, but for most people that will mean a new chip - or electronics to fiddle the a/f ratio which would pretty much negate the saving... Probably the cheapest way to use cheaper injectors would be to fabricate a top-feed rail; injectors are much, much cheaper and billet rails are cheap too - depends if you fancy a project or not.

Injector Query!
so how you going to adjust the map?

Changing Gauges
It's nothing to do with the range of the gauge - it's the resistance of the sender which makes the difference...

Registering as a kit car
a q plate is issued if you don't qualify to retain a donor vehicle's registration or if the build date of a car is unknown/ undeterminable - not just for kit cars. If a kit car's issued with an age related plate, a private plate can be used - as long as it doesn't appear newer etc etc.

How Do I Remove TB Hoses?
standard ones? if so, take the car for a drive to warm them up - makes them more pliable... should come off pretty easily.

Don't know about a recon but I've got a spare to sell if you're interested... I bought it from AndyZ when I crashed my car but ended up buying a new shell so it's unneeded... Rich

Problem with headphones???
I got a pair of in ear silicone headphones - whilst they don;t increase the volume of the player, they do cancel out some background noise so give the appearance of doing so... it's uncomfortable to listen to an iPod on full tilt with them. I got them from an Apple reseller, not apple but very similar design - may be wirth a try? Think they were about £25... although there was a range of them going up to about £80. Rich

OEM Accessories Prices
I toyed with the same thing a while ago... was going to look at making one by modifying a targa top to have steel instead of glass and mounting a roof rack to that... then decided it was easier to just borrow my dad's volvo!!

Half of my electrics are dead!!!!
yep - for once it's a problem not caused by turbos!!

Half of my electrics are dead!!!!
Check the accessory relay under the bonnet... if it's not that, and you've got a turbo timer installed, check the ignition harness - mine had a loose connection which caused a similar (if not identical) problem... Rich

he must have just been working as a consultant - you definitely can't work as a professional (chartered) accountant, or an MP, or a few other jobs...

SatNav comparison question
I had problems when I got a new car a few years ago - turned out that the climate control coating on the windscreen also blocks the signal ... enough to knock it out from time to time - there are external antenna available if that's your problem...

Standard TT Injectors - High or Low Impedance
Someone, Lymon I think, posted a home-made top-feed setup a while back, but I can't find it on the search now?!

Steering wheel....
Was aimed at the thread starter - by swapping an oem airbag wheel for a non-airbag wheel you're removing a safety feature... which would be great ammunition for the other party's insurance co if, for example, you were trying to claim off them for injury's you suffered when their client pulled out in front of you (which they'd argue you wouldn't have had if the airbag was in place) Obviuosly, the other way round shouldn;t cause any problems. got my new Z today , and hectic electric !
Foot under the clutch means pull it up to make sure it's not pressing the cruise cancel switch in it's resting position. And don't worry about diagnostics - you can't do anything bad! It just flashes error codes... or the all clear code = 55!! Good luck with it!

Steering wheel....
Just be wary of the insurance implications!

6 puck
if you've already got it, just whack it in and see if you like it/ whether it'll take the torque... not too big a job to swap clutch!

Anyone help at all with facilities??
bet he won't warranty the work though...
-
Recon TT box or use NA box
they're beyond their efficiency, so will actually lose power compared to running at, say, 14psi... they end up producing too much heat and reducing the air density.
