  1. That lawn is nice! I'm a bit into my lawns, mine's nothing like the size of yours, but I was quite pleased how it came out in these pictures.
  2. Have you got your spoiler fitted yet Chris?
  3. That's why I like the 99 spoiler because it still allows you to see those great lines, as it kind of floats over the top.
  4. Thanks guys. Had to work today, but hasn't been too bad :)
  5. Just imagine how much better games will be in 3D though! I can't wait for them to get affordable, saw one at the Bristol Hifi show last month, was very impressive, so much more involving.
  6. I went for a drive around that area a couple of months ago and would recommend getting a coffee in the little cafe just up the road from the Cat and Fiddle Pub, on the A537, can't remember the name of the cafe, but it's a really nice 'in the middle of nowhere' place, and the roads to get there are rather good aswell.
  7. I'd come time and date permitting
  8. I got a pretty good deal with Performance Direct on a classic policy, although as has been said you won't be able to do that till you're 25. Good thing about Performance Direct was that the car didn't have to be garaged to qualify for the classic policy, and also they'll let you modify it (as I see yours is), which most classic policies won't let you do. I was with Elephant before that on a normal policy and they were OK provided you paid all in one go. How near Shrewsbury are you? I'll have to keep an eye out for you when you get back on the road.
  9. still looking through these pictures, this one made me laugh:
  10. What's wrong with this? I'd quite like to tow a speed boat with my Zed one day.
  11. my Zed is parked right at the end of the drive, I must have just washed it, want them to come back though as I they took the pictures when it still had the carrots on it! Just hope it doesn't get nicked now that it's location is on display to the world though.
  12. I'm liking your thoughts there (not too surprisingly when you look at my sig!). I seem to be in rather a minority here but I like the UK rear, have never liked the square Jap style plates, the UK ones look 'designed in' but the square ones look a bit stuck on as an after thought. You also don't have to worry about sticking a nasty fog light on with the UK. And I'd go for the 99 spoiler...
  13. must have been pretty scary watching... judging by how much the camera man's hand was shaking!
  14. Thanks legrath, that's interesting stuff!
  15. Is it true that UK cars have adjustable dampers? Because if they do then why is there no mention of it in my owners manual? And if it is true, is it also true (as I've read on here) that you adjust them by pulling the handbrake up one click? (again why no mention in the handbook). I've tried it in mine, and I'm fairly sure I can feel a difference in the ride/handling, but I can't quite believe that any car manufacturer would seriously use the handbrake lever as the switch, so I wonder if I'm just telling myself there is a difference?
  16. I can't see the attraction of the 99 lights myself, think they look a bit tacky, so my vote would be leave them as they are!
  17. That is one seriously nice Zed! Please keep those stock wheels on it though, they're what really make it for me. Love the fact it looks so stock, yet you've obviously got all the mechanicals underneath spot on.
  18. How much nicer did that look in Chewie's pictures?! (99 lights help):
  19. You got any pictures of it? Would be interesting to see.
  20. The Z32 is definitely a 5 spoke car as far as I'm concerned. Not entirely sure why, think it's because the car has such a simple, yet well formed, non messy shape, so the wheels should be similar, and I think 5 spokes generally achieve that balance most effectively. More than 5 spokes start to look a little too complicated/messy, less than 5 looks under developed.
  21. Definitely don't think they should be the same colour as the wheels, as it looks messy, they merge together and make the wheel look like it's deformed. So that counts silver out for me, I'd either have red or a shiney gunmetal grey.
  22. Alan, thanks for that, although I'm pretty sure in my case it is 5 cylinders because if I unplug each coil pack in turn, 5 of them make it sound even rougher, but the 1 makes no difference. Jeff, thanks for the offer, I'll send you a PM!
  23. Thanks guys. Thing is it had only been stood for about 2 hours between working fine and when it started missing, and 2 days earlier I'd been out all day in it, so it's not like it'd been stood for a long time unused. I'm off in it again tonight, so will see how it goes.
  24. wonder if anyone could shed any light... the car randomly started sounded rough when I started it on Monday evening. I'd driven it earlier in the evening and it had been fine, must have been stopped for a couple of hours, then when I started it up it sounded rough. I tried starting it up again on Tuesday briefly hoping it might have gone away, but it hadn't, and I didn't have time to investigate then. I guessed it was probably missing a cylinder, which I confirmed tonight by pulling the wires off each cylinder in turn. I measured the voltages on the wires from a good cylinder and compared them to the duff one, and they were the same. I then swapped the things that go onto the spark plugs (are they called coil packs?) between the duff cylinder and a good one, but that didn't make any difference. So then I took the spark plug out of the duff cylinder, but to be honest I haven't got a clue what I'm looking for there, so I took a good one out as well. Couldn't see a huge difference between the two, but swapped them round and put them back to see if the duff cylinder would swap with it... but then it started firing on all 6 cylinders again! Do you think I just need to get a new set of spark plugs? (I've not changed them in the last year and a bit I've had the car). Or could it be something more serious?
  25. They even did one with mini zx wheels!
