  1. That looks a pretty amazing job! I love stuff like this but at the same time find it really frustrating as I'd love to be able to do it but don't have either the time or expertise! Just out of interest, how much would one be looking at to get someone (yourself?) to do a job like this to their car?
  2. Doesn't do anything for me I'm afraid. Looks like someones got an old mat and draped it over the edge of the boot lid. (I assumed from the title that this thread was going to be about the 99 spec spoiler...)
  3. How nice is this! (particularly with the wire spoked wheels) - http://www.topgear.com/uk/photos/growler-e-type-jaguar-2011-02-28?imageNo=1
  4. How possible do you think it would be to die the stitching black?
  5. I make that a total affective area of 437 sqft, so £3933 (taking into account the pitch, ridge and overhangs) Edit: Actually that was with overhangs only on the two 8m sides, if ther over hangs were all the way round then that would increase the area by 38ish sqft, so total of £4271
  6. Love the lip! Could do with some pictures from a bit further away to properly appreciate it. Where did you get it from? How much (if you don't mind me asking)?
  7. If they're doing this because it's sexual discrimination to not do, then should they not do the same thing for age? Otherwise it's age discrimination?
  8. Thanks Daz, was taken over looking Bardsey Island at the end of the Llyn Peninsular, North Wales.
  9. every time I see your car Daz I think - those wheels are awesome!
  10. I know I post that picture of mine alot, but then, it is my favourite picture! And nice idea with the combined threads... assuming it works!
  11. No, you went smooth because it's the first step needed to fit a 99 spec, which deep down you know is the right thing to do...:D
  12. Sounds like there's no substantial difference anyway
  13. So its a LWB spoiler then. I have heard LWB and SWB are differant but i cannot see how??? Ah ha, I had no idea it was my old one! Does look rather better now than when it was on mine, don't know how/why who ever painted it did such a bad job. My car is a LWB so I presume it was a LWB spoiler? Interesting. And yes it was from Zcentre, I think I've still got a receipt for it that was amongst all the documents that came with the car.
  14. That car looks familiar... Good to see it's in safe hands! Just hope the insurance cough up a decent amount if they write it off.
  15. here's a 'dead on' shot of mine: doesn't quite look like that now after I was pushed into the back of someone last weekend
  16. There seems to be a confusion about what you two are arguing about. From reading all this it seems to me that you are arguing over two categories, when there are in fact three: 1. Royal Mail vehicals have Right of way through red lights 2. emergency vehicals are legally allowed to drive through a red light, but don't have 'Right of way' 3. and everyone else is simply not legally allowed to go through a red light full stop There seems to be confusion between simply driving through the red light, and having 'right of way' through it, which are quite different!
  17. Thanks Groover, that is a much clearer description as I would have originally expected! Pity those particular ones have the wrong centre bore for stock wheels as they are a good price. But first thing for me to do is ring DC Performance in the morning and see if they'll do me anything on the freight as it would seem that their description is noticably more confusing than most others!
  18. They are hubcentric, yes. That comment about the 10mm spacers is referring to the ones that are 5mm thick each! So mine which are 10mm thick each, are hubcentric as would be correct :(.
  19. I ordered the above spacers and received them today (very quick delivery). However I'm currently feeling rather annoyed as they're the wrong size, but what the really annoying thing is is that they are what I ordered, so I'm presumably now going to have to pay 2 lots of postage to send these back and get the correct ones delivered! :cursing: But I'm partly annoying with myself and partly with the way that they are descirbed as to me it makes no sense! I'm guessing it must be the normal thing to describe spacers as the combined width, rather than the actual width of each spacer? What I was wanting was to move each wheel out by 20mm, so I assumed that '20mm' spacers was what I would need! But it would seem I actually should have ordered 40mm. Is that the normal way they are described? (I know on the page it says "Total track widening: 20mm", which I should have noted and questioned, but I just assumed it couldn't seriously mean that cos it makes no sense to me considering that nowhere is there any mention of each single spacer being 10mm thick!)
  20. so how do you know what temperature the system is set at?
  21. cool, thanks Baz, think I might order them then :) depends entirely on the offset of the wheels
  22. Link... I know they're for a 350z, but they don't list the 300zx, and I know people put 350z wheels on the 300zx, so would have thought they should work? Or if anyone could point me in the direction of something more suitable it would be much appreciated! Thanks, Phill
  23. I'd like to have a drive of a non turbo actually, I can imagine it being more satisfying than the TT, the unpredictability of the power delivery can be a bit frustrating at times. As for an auto though, no comment...
  24. Pity it's auto, but does look a nice car for that money, even if it is non turbo.
