  1. I'd definitely be up for that
  2. I've semi successfully done this in the past - I subtracted the left channel from the right, which removes the vocals as they are always equal between the channels, but leaves anything that is stronger on one channel than the other. Obviously any instrument that has also been placed in the centre of the 'soundstage' will be removed as well, so it's not that great, the most noticable being the bass, as that is nearly always equal to both channels. However, you can remedy that by low pass filtering the original so you could only hear the bass, and then adding it back in. I suspect that that is what the Karaoke machines are actually doing in reality. It's not great, and it only gives a mono output, but it's still very much recognisable as the original piece of music, without vocals.
  3. Absolutely! I don't quite understand all you lot saying the sides don't go down far enough, in my mind that is one of the things that makes the 99 spoiler so good, it kind of teases you - you expect it to touch the boot lid at the sides but it actually just floats above, whilst at the same time (as Yowers says) flowing perfectly with the contours. Curiously, I think the 89 spec looks quite good on a modified car, because of the way it doesn't flow, which makes it more aggressive. Think the 99 is far prettier though, so depends what sort of look you're after.
  4. I've got a classic policy through Performance Direct. I went with them as they were the only ones I could find that didn't require the car to be garaged. They also said that they could do classic policies for modified cars when I asked.
  5. Have you thought about getting the black sticker to go on the back of the spoiler to follow the line of the lights round?
  6. If mine wasn't black, it would be white... Looking very nice a crisp! (what's going on just behind the rear off side wheel?)
  7. These are a couple of my favourite pics of mine: pity I hadn't finished polishing my rear wheels for the second pic
  8. looking good! Pity Car.Mad wasn't doing them when I bought mine.
  9. Which models had these fitted? Guessing not UK? Would be rather useful for me as I don't have remote locking.
  10. I saw this drive through the middle of town a couple of weeks ago, and my work collegue who lives in the Bicton area says he's seen a blue one around a few times near him?
  11. White Jap spec, black wheels with red rims. I stopped and stared as you went past! Always nice to see a Zed on the way home from work!
  12. Congratulations to you both! Looks like an amazing location!
  13. I saw that on Monday, looked rather nice
  14. Welcome chap! Was this you then: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=142101 ?
  15. How are they different? I swapped my cloth covers onto some electric leather seats, and didn't have any issues with fit.
  16. Hollings, I'm hoping there'll be another mini meet in or near Shrewsbury before very long, so you can join us for that! And obviously if you decided to organise anything in Telford I'd be definitely up for coming along!
  17. OK, don't really care if it's paint/chrome or what, all I want is for my plastic stock wheels centre caps to look shiney! Madmax (if you're listening), is this something you could help me with? Or can anyone suggest anyone/anywhere where I could get this done?! (Slick Pete?)
  18. can you chrome plate plastic?
  19. I feel as if I understand the bump steer thing, particularly after Joely's video, but I don't see why lowering the car should affect it? The problem seems to me to come about by the pivot points of the steering arm and wishbones not being parallel. But that would be the same whether or not the car is lowered - the pivot points don't change, the angles of the arms will change, but not relative to each other they won't, they all move together.
  20. Hi Chris, Do you still frequent this forum? Would you be able/willing to 'chrome' the centre caps from my wheels? Thanks, Phill
  21. having said that, I can't see the inner end of the arm and have no idea what it looks like!
  22. I'm pretty sure I follow that, although looking at the pictures, it looks in reality that the pivotal point is pretty much in line with the arm.
