  1. Awesome! :D :wack:
  2. nice! Is the engine standard?
  3. I want to see a picture of the 340 drift car. I learnt to drive in my Dad's 340, so have a (slightly strange) soft spot for them!
  4. First car - 1992 Rover Mini 998 (current but sorned, don't think I could ever get rid of it) Second car - 1989 Ford Fiesta (cheap run around while the mini was being repaired when I wrote it off) Third car - 1995 Ford Mondeo (given by my grandad when he could no longer drive, couldn't really refuse) Fourth car - 2008 Fiat Grande Punto 1.2 (current, cheapest lease car I could find which would allow me to have an unreliable second car... Fifth car - 1993 Nissan 300zx (current)
  5. I like the design of the stock wheel, I think it fits in with the interior better than most after market types, but it is a bit big, especially when trying to do any fast maneuvers. Will be interested to see what Si's new wheel looks like in place.
  6. Looks nice and smart in the pictures. Don't know why it's so cheap though if it's as good as it seems from the description.
  7. Brake light ones are £95 from Z centre, although you have to collect them (maybe a bit far from Surrey).
  8. I rather like this picture of mine directly from the front, think it looks like it could be some sort of futuristic spacecraft (not sure if that should be a good thing):
  9. I prefer the front generally, although with 99 rear lights and spoiler I'd say thay both look as good as each other. I changed by sig from front view to rear, but that was because I'd just installed the 99 rears (99 spoiler coming soon:D).
  10. Happy Birthday young300lover and fellow mini fan (if I remember correctly)
  11. I can't see any harm in putting a sign in the window, I sold a car once just doing that, and it doesn't cost much to try! If you do though, make sure that the price is the biggest thing on the paper, and that it (the price) can be read without people having to stop. You don't need to put 'FOR SALE' in huge writing, cos if people can see a price they know it's for sale!. I can't understand why it is that 99% of signs you see just say 'For Sale' then you have to stop and go right up to it to see how much, if it tells you at all. If you don't show the price clearly I think you limit it to people who know they want your particular car (cos they're the only people that will go up and have a look regardless of price), but if you can see the price clearly, when people drive past the though 'I could afford that' goes through their head and makes them start to think about it when otherwise they wouldn't have. Sorry, you've got me on one the bees that are in my bonnet!
  12. £2900 last october, then had to spend £1800 to get it through it's MOT 3 months later:smash:. Don't regret it though as I was rather fussy about what I wanted and had been looking for ages. Including buying it it's cost me about £6000ish so far.
  13. Glad to hear you had trouble as well (in the nicest possible way:)). Thanks guys, think I'll leave them as they are then, certainly the simplest option!
  14. Had a bit of a play with photoshop, think I might agree. all smoked: all clear: as it is now: Richard, out of interest how did you get the filters out? They seem to be made out of stupidly tough plastic, I managed to break a pair of long nosed pliers and a pair of cutters, and ended up using a soldering iron to melt them into bits!
  15. I take you can't buy a smoked UK indicator of the shelf then? I had a quick look but couldn't find anything.
  16. no, the whole unit comes out, the clear lense on the front seems to be glued onto the plastic back part/reflector.
  17. How do you get the main lense off? It seems glued pretty strong when I had them off yesterday, I had to break the orange filter up and pull it throught the back.
  18. Some? Smoke?! How do you do that?
  19. I've at last finished de-oranging the car: I'm thinking though that it could do with either smoked indicators to match the blanks next to them, or clear blanks, I'm not sure which. Anyone any thoughts, or pictures of such arrangments? Are smoked UK indicators available? Phill P.S. please ignore the off centre number plate!
  20. not that I've really tried it, but I'd have though using the handbrake to aid a drift would just make things more complicated as one second your trying to lock the rear wheels, then the next your trying to make them spin stupidly fast.
  21. Looks like someone's taken a hack saw to the back of a Civic!:hurl:
  22. Pistol Pete, what does your Blue Flame sound like? I'm going to be wanting a quad exit exhaust at some point. Want something that looks not too disimilar to stock, just slightly bigger, and slightly deeper but not very much louder.
