  1. A trick I have seen done is to take the back panel out and use that, it matches of course and replace the back panel with new, as it`s not on view if it is not a perfect match it does not matter so much. Jeff
  2. " looks like the engine bay of 2.0 Carlton " Classic Si, well put ...:laugh: Jeff
  3. Sounds like you have a flooding issue likely caused by a bad connection at the water sensor, this will cause the cold start ( enrichment ) to occur and flood the plugs, is the electric fan running by any chance ? Jeff
  4. So had my first drive in a new Peugeot 3008 as a passenger, seemed a little over the top inside, tacky almost with the multi led ambient light strips and settings. but was ok, then the driver said oh it has sport mode too, listen to this................ OMG it did not have sport mode at all ! it Has Fake Exhaust Sound Produced by the Speakers what a crap idea that is, sounded like s?hit and the worst of all the completely clueless owner did not realise .... classic Jeff
  5. For clarity, the brackets are different between UK and Jap spec zeds, so will be a different part number. Jeff
  6. Yes the rubber surround comes as part of the glass, used is the only way now, but the lower trim can be made by buying two front window lower trims, spin them around and cut them to suit length along the back rears quarter windows, use black silicon to bed them in. Jeff
  7. OMG !! That red interior is soooo....seventies it hurts, I mean all you need is to add huggy bear >> and this >>> could pass for this >>>
  8. Ok lets have a little humour here, short jokes or pics here is two to start off >>>>>>>>
  9. This seems to be the all to often end for many zeds, anyone here ? >> https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-300-zx-twin-turbo-targa/233294682962?hash=item3651725b52:g:PVwAAOSw6WVdN0MN
  10. WTF ! anyone know this? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300zx-vr6-turbo/223600641012?hash=item340fa303f4:g:Um4AAOSwIbFdOiTG
  11. Agree that is why I went for the M6 rather than the family version..lol
  12. How the BMW M club do things !! the car owner behind the camera was in a small Nissan apparently in default mode :innocent: Enjoy with the sound up
  13. No, not at all, a realist would be more accurate. How well do you think this ancient Nokia phone would run the engine in your car? erm, well it would not !! and seen as it has more processing power then the lunar landing module it does start becoming hard to believe it was quite what they reported. Jeff
  14. Yes watched this at school did not really understand exactly what I was watching then, of course 50 years later it is clear to anyone with a even the smallest of engineering knowledge that the technology did not exist then for the events to happen in quite the manner it was shown, and Nasa suggest they have "lost" the required calculations to return ... say what ?? Jeff
  15. Sorry but from a poor ad of an overpriced car how have we established it’s an utter turd? >>>> erm yep ! The interior has been dicked about with and left very unfinished, but the exterior looks alright...>>>> you think ? Someone has spent lots of money on it at some stage >>>> Mmm.... maybe, but even your comments comments would suggest done on a shoe string What it’s guilty of being is overpriced with a poor advert but referring to it as a lemon and not worth £5k, if it’s not worth £5k then neither are most that are about >>>> erm yep ! If you were on the hunt and saw this thread, it might make you pick a different zed >>>>> hopefully yeh ! ... but I guarantee you it will make them pick a different club to join... >>> sorry lost you there ?? All input to threads is welcome and appreciated Jeff
  16. No its all one piece, see picture >> A good second hand one will be fine. Jeff
  17. Classic cars, classic prices, classic looks, enthusiastic following, prices rising, rare........ all words been used to describe the 300zx for some time but again we have a dealer who just cannot help placing a big ticket price on a pup.. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-300-ZX-TWIN-TURBO-MANUAL-Z32-PEARL-WHITE-TARGA-TOP-1995-JDM-MODEL/283547251366?hash=item4204bbb2a6:g:bykAAOSwOQJdKcqs 10 items stand out under the bonnet, 1 Wiper blades torn 2 Missing engine earth lead 3 Missing / broken scuttle trim 4 Spurious fuel filter 5 Missing pipe brackets 6 Missing throttle cover 7 Over spray on rubbers 8 Alarm unit out of bracket 9 Missing fan shroud 10 Bonnet rubber stoppers missing The interior is a hash with a stupid gear lever knob, and a centre radio surround with missing radio system, a stupid dial, screw covers missing, cheap speedo over lay showing 5 mph when stationary, burn hole in the drivers seat, missing hazard light switch cig lighter missing and worn after market steering wheel. This kind of car and price does the marque no good at all, a dealer who also thinks the 300zx targa tops were called aero tops .. aka Toyota supra style ! Jeff
  18. Not wanting to cast doubt on what is happening, but very worrisome.
  19. Cable also opens the boot, so open the boot lid with the key, then remove the side panel behind the flap and the mechanism can be pulled to release the flap, or work with pliers at the broken end pushing the cable not pulling to see if it opens. Jeff
  20. Most common issue is after an exhaust swap the exhaust overheat sensor cables are snipped out and later short out bringing the light on, that said is you had any kind of a misfire and neat petrol was going down the cat, it would light up in there and bring the warning light on. Jeff
  21. No need to sand the needle, with mine they were glued in with a touch of super glue at the back, so took the one off, repositioned it to give clearance and re glued in place all sorted, some did click into place rather than need adhesive or tape though, either way its doable, avoid removing needles it can lead to a world of pain. Jeff
  22. That will be it, got caught out myself years ago, the fuel gauge needle was stuck at the quarter tank point, ran out of fuel on the way back from JAE as a result ! Jeff
  23. Yeh talking about chipped/ boosted twin turbo.
