  1. Why does bad things happen to good people?? Lynda was on her way to work this morning minding her own business, when she got to a junction to pull left onto a main road a large van in front suddenly reversed back into her his tow bar punching a hole through the bumper pushing her backwards luckily no car behind her or the car would be damaged at both ends, the van driver admitted fault ( see how long that lasts) explaining he was going to go left and then decided to go right so had to move back and did not see her!! WTF! that what the big mirrors on each door is for! Lynda genuinely has a little neck and shoulder pain etc, but its the hassle now with assessors and statements and it will put our insurance up next time even though its not Lynda`s fault because that`s how insurance companies see it now its a claim who ever paid up! trouble is I know the low cost of cars now if we push it for a full repair they will write off a perfectly good car for a bumper which I have already found a used one on e-bay the right colour for £99 not sure the best way to go now. Should of stayed in bed!!!!!! Jeff TT
  2. Check out this link here I did some time ago, if you still have recircs fitted it could be the problem. Jeff TT http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?127063-Recircs-revealed-Inside-out-feature&highlight=recirc+inside
  3. Agree the best thing to come out of this fiasco is he will not be working on zeds, and if I hear he is doing anything similar will be making sure everyone is aware if what is going on. Jeff TT
  4. Who me? would not dare saying anythings so controversial.... Jeff TT
  5. Well nice to see so much encouragement for me and Lynda thanks so much, on a slightly sour note not too happy to see the "buyer" has bought himself a Subaru Impreza and having a large ICE install done as I write this  added to that on his facebook page he has a picture of a Hummer with a suggestion title of his new toy!! well at least I know where the cash that was faithfully ( yeh right !) promised to me has gone :mad2: Jeff TT
  6. In general no spark and no injector signal points to a cas unit fault, this will be why there is no fuel pump signal, if not the cam sensor or cable fault it could be a cambelt issue, unscrew the oil cap and make sure the cams are moving when cranking. Jeff TT
  7. No need just dremel the bit of the plenum that is in the way, honestly 15 to 20 minutes and saves you ages and a plenum gasket, have done a few write ups with pictures. Jeff TT
  8. According to some you only need some of this........................
  9. Mmm.... ok I once had a similar issue with my Blitz boost controller and finally traced it to a poor power supply to the controller, it was good enough to power the display but when the solenoid was doing its thing the volt drop effected the solenoid enough to evoke a similar issue to yours, given the electrical problems you have had in the past it might be worth a look to where the power is supplied from for the controller and make sure there is no bad connections either. Jeff TT
  10. Put money on it been the injector connection at best or dead injector at worse, leave a coil pack plugged in but out of the cylinder with a spark plug in it and close to the engine to see if you have spark and if so go to the injector connection, most likely will be green and nasty, if you have a test meter see what resistance it is, should be around 13ohms. Jeff TT
  11. Hi Dave, do you still have recircs fitted I cannot remember? Jeff TT
  12. Good question, but one based on no knowledge of the "deal" the agreement to buy was made at an official meeting in April when full accounts, stock and customer data base were made available and paper work was signed by all parties. There was an arrangement to take over on July 10th and a 2 week take over was arranged and actually done whilst we worked side by side going through all of the administration the day to day running of the business and introductions to suppliers and customers alike, the landlord was involved in arranging the changeover of the building lease and even the business rates were changed over into their names. The end of the second week should of seen the deal complete the hand over finished and the money transferred, however the money was never transferred, I will add Mark was not in control of that as by this time he was not the "buyer" of course we believed the lies that were forth coming from the buyer because why would we not after the extent the deal was virtually completed to, we never saw the buyer again from this time as he quickly became un-contactable, ignoring my texts, e-mails,face book messages, and other mediums. Even now having called time on him and his little occasional indications "its still going through" I text him to ask for him as a man to face me and tell me why he chose to be such a complete arse to me and Lynda or did he not even have the integrity to do that.....guess what no response so if you ever meet this guy give him one hell of a body swerve as he lies and cheats his way through life and has no morals or conscience what ever you do don`t try and sell him anything! So guys hope that has answered your question(s) Jeff TT (Name of the "buyer" with held for legal reasons)
  13. Ok sounds like you have got some details of the problem but you are going too technical on it, this is a common problem that can often make you overlook something obvious. So your saying there is no fuel pump run output from the ecu to the pump, if your checking this at the ecu connector then this can only be caused by either a faulty ecu or the ecu is not seeing the start signal from the cas unit (crank angle sensor) So the best way forward is to get to the fuel pump via the boot floor access panel, now you can make an earth connection to the fuel pump, it should run constantly with the ignition switch on then, if not you will need to check the power supply, if this is ok then suspect the fuel pump. If it does come down to the ecu output been the whole problem then that is usually causes by a fault that has shorted the ecu, be careful if the short still exists then fitting a new ecu will damage that one too, snip the output cable at the ecu connector first before fitting any new ecu and then you can test the output of the ecu without any danger of damaging it. Good luck Jeff TT
  14. This is not an insignificant blip in our business and private life its a huge blow to us, but with near 14 years in continual business we are not going to let crazy course this deal took continue to heap more pain and stress onto what is the normal hassles that self employment brings. Jeff TT
  15. From the start until today the deal has been a complete nightmare of broken promises from them, what ever happened to honest business buyers? Jeff
  16. Well with the losses we have incurred as a consequence of all of this we have little choice at the moment but to continue on and look to what 2014 may bring. Jeff
  17. That is so true, it has been awful, today we are free again and smiling for the first time in months. Jeff
  18. So back on July 1st we made public here our intention to retire to Portugal and the sale of Zedworld, the sale had been in the planning stage since Feb/ March after agreeing a price with the to be then new owner. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?170692-Important-Zedworld-announcement However after a month had past I again posted but this time to inform that a delay had occurred. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?171431-August-and-Zedworld-not-so-changed-yet So here I am again but now I am not so happy..in fact I am absolutely furious with the way both Lynda and myself have been treated though out this deal with promise after promise always broken and never followed through, we have been lied to on a regular basis, the deception is the worse bit to bear, I always try and see the best in people and have paid heavily for this in wasted time, anguish and stress, more over we have lost a substantial lot of money on a property deposit in Portugal all because the constant assurance from them that the funds would be next week, next, month next frigging never!! Why would do people do this? why go so far into a deal that that the seller (us ) has made life changing plans and business changes that are very hard to reverse and keep hanging us out on the ever decreasing glimmer that the money was going to be forthcoming?? I could rant on about this for hours with the impact on mine and Lynda`s lives during this period but it would not even scratch the surface, I feel so bad for Lynda, she had her hopes set on this along with mine for semi retirement this year, If these characters had not made the promises they did we would of happily continued on to a slower and easier close down over the next few years but the deal looked like a way of bringing it forward, now we have the task of informing customers, suppliers, landord, rates office and utilities of the change of plans and to get back to our normal work pattern..... So I guess it leaves me to just say..... WELCOME TO ZEDWORLD BUSINESS AS USUAL Jeff TT
  19. Don`t worry about R12 not been available you can use drop in gas, all you need to do its get a couple of adapter connectors for the high and low pressure ports, they are available on ebay. Jeff TT
  20. The easiest thing is to change the compressor for the later type as changing the pipework is a nightmare as even the threads are not inter-changable. Jeff TT
  21. The difference is between early and late style ac systems and compressor. Jeff TT
  22. In real world road use I would doubt any issue would be caused, in fact I would hazard a guess many, many zeds and other turbo cars have inter-coolers would have the same fin damage and run just fine. Jeff TT
  23. unplug the afm so it ignores it. Jeff
  24. So I have watched this thread go on and on without a comment from myself but enough now, there are lot of views from a lot of peeps that were not part of the original job. We only got involved with the salvaging and fitting of a used engine supplied by (another) to Richard, an engine that was presented in a terrible state, from how it had been removed to how ever it had been stored after removal. So after the engine was cleaned of its hacked oil lines and wiring loom and much more it was serviced with new cambelt inlet hoses thermostat etc. water by pass egr removal and the new plenum installed and then fitted into the car. New oil, antifreeze and new power steering fluid. Fully run up and set up on the ConZult with smooth tickover and no faults, this was running for more than 30 minutes in front of Richard with no smoke no faults and the ConZult plugged in showing the set up this is how it was running. The later issues that came to light with smoke was unclear and when the near side turbo failed it was changed free of charge ( supplied by Richard ) in order to help Richard we had no actual warranty responsibility as the engine was supplied by Richard to us so changing the turbo and the engine oil again was clearly a good will gesture on our part unfortunately however this thread has become now become a Zedworld witch hunt despite your veiled comments about not pointing at anyone..... you have had enough to say about us to others though! (all of it gets back to us) We have been fitting engines into zeds for near on 14 years and for discussions calling us about how it was fitted or turbo`s are primed is verging on the ridiculous, your running on a budget that`s clear and and no issue with that but sometimes the cheaper option is not the best and for us a lesson in not fitting engines supplied by the customer! Jeff TT
  25. Hiya Errol Car looks stunning lost the Gangster no plate then, for any of you that don't know this was Jeff's introduction to 300zx ownership 16 years ago. Lynda Zedworld.
