International calling card? Anyone used one?
Bigminceys reply just reminded me to mention, that you can set skype up so that the caller ID on the recipients handset, registers as your mobile. Therefore if somebody misses your call, they will ring you back to your mobile. You can also get a geographic number from skype so that mobiles, landlines etc can ring through to your skype number. I'm a major fan.:thumbup1:

International calling card? Anyone used one?
Skype is absolutely brilliant if you have an ok bb connection. Skype to Skype is free of course, but they have fabulous skype to landline/mobile offerings. For €6.88 I have unlimited calls to landline numbers in Ireland and most European countries. Just checked there for Argentina. Just as a standard bundle for 120 minutes it costs €1.94 or for €5.73 you can have unlimited calls during the month. Worldwide package of €11.94 and you can call European countries landlines, some Asian destinations, some South American destinations and North American landlines and mobiles. Same for Canada. https://buy.skype.com/paymonthly/?currency=EUR&source=account#UnlimitedWorld|recommendedSubscriptionsTab (All figures include VAT above) I have a good Wireless service, so got rid of the landline and am saving a lot of cash. Skype rocks!

Replace the worn parts and keep it. Works perfectly for me, but I haven't been upping the horses under the bonnet.

Well done, Legrath. Do you mind me asking what are you going to put on the rears to balance or is it that important for track/fast street use?

Offset guide
Thanks guys. That offset calculator is brilliant when it comes to comparing proposed wheels to other setups.

25th April Meet
Lovely pics guys. I wonder if I booked some of those cheap Ryanair seats from Dublin to Bristol next time would I get a lift in a zed to a meet? Wouldn't mind seeing some of those cars in the flesh so to speak. I'm sure it would be a bit of fun too to meet some of you guys.

Offset guide
Is there such a thing as this type of guide for the wheels and fitament of wheels on a zed? (I spent a while searching before this post but didn't come up with anything.) I'm on the lookout for wheels and I saw a set with the following dimensions: 19x9.0 +42 PCD: 5/114.3 for the front 19x10.0 +37 PCD: 5/114.3 for the rear I see from searches I have done that a 9.5" rear with a 35" offset has a nice aggressive stance (Funkysi's being an excellent example). However would the same offset be ok with a 10" rear wheel or does the width of the wheel have a significant bearing? Does the offset on the front make sense with a 19"rim? I know that the size of a tyre would have a bearing on the fitting in the arch, so for the above I would be thinking of a 265 on the front and a 285 on the rear. Am I correct in my thinking here or would the 265 rub on hard lock? My suspension has been slightly lowered from standard.

£205 to tax the Zed!!!!! robbing t***!!!
Thats the price it has always been, sounds like you are talking about 6 months tax. Its criminal. My X5 which is a 4.6 and is over €1500 for the year. Car costs over here have always been a rob. From VRT to road tax, although for the newer cars the rates are now determined by emmissions. Much cheaper but still dearer than the UK. Only thing cheaper over here is fuel costs. If you drive around a UK registered car over here, customs can lift it, but even worse is that the insurance company would probably refuse to cover you, if you had an accident.

Only £205 quid !!!!!! Wish we were that lucky over here. €1293 for the full year.

Any of you South Central, South Wales or Midlands lot bored this weekend?
Yes Jimmer, that was the name of owner before the guy that used the stripey paint. PK1 was his name alright. I had images from Legrath but when my sub lapsed I think it deleted all the old messages with links. Looks so much better there than it does now. But I bought it knowing that it would need a respray, just thought I would have been able to do it before now. The original pearl yellow is a nice colour.

I wonder is that is a SWB yellow in the photo and if it is, I wonder if that is my one before it got the respray.

Anybody Keep in contact with Radron?
Anybody keep in contact with Radron since he sold his Zed? He seemed like a top man when I dealt with him. I was looking for 300kph or Nismo kph clocks at the time, and Radron had a set. Due to taking a serious financial hit at the time, I couldn't proceed and buy them. He actually offered to give them to me for free when he learned of the situation. I couldn't accept his generosity as I'd prefer to pay for the set when my circumstance changed - after all it was me who posted a link looking for them originally. Thankfully my circumstance has changed somewhat. So if anybody has contact details for Radron, please pm me with them. He may still have the clocks.
