  1. ..amazingly said by the owner of a zed :whistling:
  2. Guys, I have the chance to get a Series 1, 2+2 N/A automatic jap import breaker for small money. The interior is quite tatty so I wouldn't really expect to sell any part of it. Considering I have the TT slicktop and bar the power steering pump which may come in handy at a later stage is it worth taking? Is there a market for a N/A engine or auto gear box for example or any other parts for that matter? It just may be more trouble than its worth. Also as you see from my location, the market would be limited for any parts, as sending major bits across the water to the UK would probably make it prohibitively expensive. Now that I have just stated this, then the question is really whether there is much stuff common that I could retain as selling bits would probably be a non runner? Cheers
  3. Happy Birthday
  4. Hppy Birthday Si. Have a good one.:happybday:
  5. Jeez, you'd get a 20ft container from china for $1800. At that overall price, I wouldn't be proceeding with it, nice and all that it is.
  6. An explanation of the difference between SMIC's and FMIC on the Zed. SMIC's are technically more suited to the natural design of the Zed engine and a longer FMIC will create a pressure drop which results in turbo lag. http://www.zdriver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19694 I posted this link before and Legrath added some other intercoolers for comparative purposes, but after searching I have failed to find it. Its a good informative read and I hope it gives you a better understanding.
  7. Nice wheel at a decent price. I'd be interested myself if I had the cash. http://cgi.ebay.ie/Ultralite-Speed-Stars-skyline-rx7-300ZX-S14-Z0450_W0QQitemZ260545216203QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET?hash=item3ca9b47ecb
  8. The large rear spoiler doesn't really do anything for the sleek lines of any zed IMHO, so whatever about anything else, I would certainly remove it for a start
  9. It was probably inspired by the "true Irish story" over here of "lying eyes". Here is the link of a news article about it. Sorry of greed, deception, trannie love, conspiracy to murder a father and sons, hire of a hitman, who himself got greedy and it just goes on and on. So mental it was that the old man, who was going to be murdered said at the end of the trial that he would take lying eyes back! Too unbelievable to become the story line to a film I think. Who would ever believe it. http://www.independent.ie/lifestyle/independent-woman/issues/the-legend-of-lying-eyes-2091296.html
  10. Is that Cobalt Blue? Looks absolutely stunning! Hopefully one day I'll get to see your car Si, but from what I can see in the images, it looks perfect as is, but I understand you wanting to freshen it. I know I'm going against the grain, but recently I'm starting to really like the older OEM front bumper and I'd be hesitant about changing it. It looks spot on in most car images that I have seen lately. Look at the Aussie link posted by Gary for example.
  11. That was brilliant. That is a deserving news story!
  12. Yeah, well done to Scotland.
  13. This is the nicest rear bumper and diffuser that I have seen for the Zed, by far. I'd be seriously interested in one of them, but I'd have to qualify that and say subject to a reasonable price.
  14. Graham on the FAQ site, you posted a pdf of the colour codes and stats. May I ask if the figures of the numbers of cars was for a particular market such as export, or for the production line. I just saw the number of slicktops in 1990 was 62. If that is the actual production line then I have one quite rare model and the overall numbers of slicktops is even rarer than that of the convertibles. Somehow though I have a feeling that there were more produced between 89 and 96. Wikipedia says that the following are the production numbers : 1989–2000 (1990–1996 in U.S) number produced: 164,170 (for export: 99,286) (for JDM: 64,884)
  15. Lovely wheels Dave
  16. Was this the thread ? http://300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=129063&highlight=quad+turbo
  17. No Gary - I had nothing for today. Good racing though. Bookies are cleaning up. Gurteen01 - is the name anything to do with Gurteen in Co.Sligo?
  18. Yes Gary, same to you. I'm about to be dragged off to a parade, which is a couple of hours of pure torture. Funny ..... last year I saw a polished red GTO with the Ferrari emblem on the front bonnet advertising a small garage. Should be only focusing on Cheltenham this morning, which is more important than anything
  19. GTZ with your side skirts. Definitely the better option imho
  20. Happy Birthday Trish - hope you are having a good one.
  21. Looks sweet :thumbup1: Best of luck with it.
