No parks, dips, illumination of clock clusters or rear lights - which fuse?
Thanks Gary - symptoms seem very, very similar and doing exactly what I did. (and I swear I did a search before posting :blushing: - the pics I posted are from a thread in 2006 I think)

No parks, dips, illumination of clock clusters or rear lights - which fuse?
Spent a couple of hours earlier today, washing, waxing and polishing the zed. Then went for a spin into town to see the local League of Ireland football club Sligo Rovers actually beat Everton 2 - 0 (Ok they were probably the Everton reserves !). Anyhow afterwords it was getting dark, went to drive the zed home and no dips, rear lights, parks or illumination of the clock clusters. I guess I blew a fuse when I was reconnecting the rear fog lamp switch (probably incorrectly) after I had been swapping clock clusters. I had to leave the car in town, so will collect it tomorrow in the bright. Assuming its a simple thing of the problem being a fuse, can anybody point me in the right direction as to which fuse and where is it located. I did a search but I couldn't find anything to point to which fuse etc. I have taken the following images from one thread and hopefully somebody will guide me. I'd guess the fuse is the box in question above located in the engine bay and if it is, would it control all the stuff I listed? Also if it is, what amp fuse should I get? Thanks in advance.

Top Gear Ayrton Senna tribute.
http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/senna-shoes-2010-07-28 From the Top Gear website. Brilliant piece of footage of Ayrton Senna driving around Suzuka in an NSX. Brilliant to watch him feather the throttle. Excellent views. This wasn't on the original show

New battery
Interestingly I had to replace my dead 068 battery today. Rang a couple of places and they looked up their listings for the car type, spec, year etc and one said it should be a 072 and the other manufacturer said 031. Both the 031 and 072 have the same amp rating of 70 versus the 60 amps of the 068. Also the cold crankage(not sure if I have the term correct) is also higher than that of the 068 I bought the 031 and don't envisage any problems. Any reason why somebody should not purchase a higher power rated battery?

AB-FLUG dash cluster on eBay
Next time, I won't ask any questions - I'll just buy it :censored: Ah I wanted those clocks.

AB-FLUG dash cluster on eBay
Because some zed fans live in parts of the world that have moved on from Imperial including your near neighbours :tt2: The clocks appear to have a crack in the plastic. Is this plastic easily replaced or is it a pita?

Huge rust repair - My 91 TT
It's a right hand drive shell you have? If I was you, I'd get a better right hand drive shell. I have seen guys on this and other sites sending better, and I mean much better to the scrappers, just to get rid of them. Either way you are taking on a mammoth task and best of luck with the project.

Fitting BBS wheels
Jeff, thanks for the reply. No link posted though.

Fitting BBS wheels
Anybody have trouble fitting BBS wheels or indeed lightweight wheels in general? Went to fit the rears today just to see the how they fitted with the offset, but just discovered that I'll need to get a different set of wheel nuts and perhaps a replacement set of bolts for the hub as there doesn't seem to be a lot of the existing bolts coming through the wheel for the wheel nuts to get much grip. Anybody encounter this before? Also just in case I don't need to replace the wheel bolts, what is the thread type of the existing bolts? Thanks in advance.

My new wheels
I just couldn't resist. Saw them today and bought them today. 17" BBS split rims 9j Offset 26 shod with brand new Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R all round. Fingers crossed the rears will fit without having to slightly modify the inner lip of the rear wheel arch. They were originally made for an awd vehicle. The fact that they are not staggered doesn't bother me in the slighest. These are in excellent condition with no damage. Allegedly they did less than 1000 miles but I think they were refurbished previously, not that it really matters. I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I think they are stunning

Clay barred & New wheels on.
Looks real well Craig. Well done and I do like the wheels too. I know you are going mad looking for a 99spec front bumper, but if its any consolation, I think the dark tache which the older spec bumper looks the business on your car.

dear lord - go single exit!
I believe I know who you mean, as I think if its the same one we are thinking of, I ended up with the car. I removed it for two reasons : 1. looked shite 2. the backbox was knackered, devoured with rust and blowing It had resonators put into the system to reduce the noise though in the previous owners time. I got a custom made dual exit performance exhaust in place of it, and I have to admit it isn't any quieter, if anything slightly louder. I prefer a more silent exhaust when you are not pushing it.

Obama,s righteous stance
The oil rig was leased by BP and would have passed their inspection and met with their specifications. As a result they are responsible, no ifs and no buts. To be fair to Obama when running his presidential campaign, one constant theme of his was greener fuel, a switch to greener energy and a reduction in dependance on foreign oil. When the car makers were going bust as part of the rescue he insisted on "greener" technologies. He is not being hippocritical. What I thought was unfair and disgraceful not on BP, but on British people in general was when one Mr Weiner from Obama's administration said in a televised interview that his automatic assumption when listening to anybody from BP speaking with a British accent is that they were "lying". While most of what BP may have said initially turned out to be inaccurate, this to me was an obvious slurr on British people whether intentional or not. Outrageous!

Good members and good ex-club members
I think we all know and agree that there is a tremendous club spirit in the club. The amount of help that members give to each other in terms of knowledge, advice etc is really incredible. I have to say that the spirit doesn't die when for one reason or another a member sells up and doesn't "pop around" very often or ever anymore. Where is all this leading you may ask? Quite a while after I got my slicktop, Legrath dropped me a pm (everybody should subscribe ) and mentioned to me how a previous owner in its original yellow days wanted to make contact and wanted to know if it was ok to do so. The previous owner Simon was a member under the username PK1 I believe. After a few e-mails it turned out that Simon had the original code and FOB to the alarm on the car plus he assured me that during his ownership the car was well maintained and looked after. He wanted to send me the FOB and code. A couple of weeks ago, I came across the old mails from Feb 2009, and dropped another one with my home address. I heard nothing back, so I thought that the e-mail address mightn't have been used anymore. I opened a package that arrived for me the following weekend and low and behold what did it contain? The spare FOB and alarm code! So Simon, not that you will ever really know of this post, but take a bow anyhow. Top man. I think it is another example of an unquenchable spirit that exists.

A moment to savour and never forget
YEP :cowboy: A guy (Kevin) I have gotten to know lately used to own Sports & Prestige cars over here. I'd say he sold more Supercars during the boom than any other supplier in the South. We know quite a few of the same people. Turns out that the owner of this car was involved in a relatively successful racehorse with me a couple of years ago. He is also friends with Kevin, so asked Kevin to collect it for him in Spain and bring it back to Dublin. He had to put some petrol in it this evening, told me to hop out at the petrol station. I was thinking that was the nod for me to fill her up, but instead he told me to sit in and take over... I have drove a Ferrari 355 and a Lotus Espirt in the past and being a passenger in the Lambourghini Diablo. Lest we not forget the 300zx either, which is a supercar ! (I feel a debate coming on). This was by far and away the most impressive, hands down. The Lambo had absolute raw brute power, but the GTB was just so powerful but yet so smooth. A totally different feel. Everything about driving it, seemed so effortless. I always felt in control even when the needles were pointing in directions where they don't often point.

A moment to savour and never forget
It was amazing Yes just like that - a beautiful ferrari red. Interestingly 19" wheels on the front and 20" rears.
