Replacement panels & spoiler
Hi Bernard, The Zed Centre can indeed be pricey once VAT and freight are factored in. The other source I'd suggest is Mike Feeney at MJP - see traders section. Sadly, as the cars get older, sourcing spares gets more difficult and more expensive!! I bought my sills and sill return panels from Z-Centre; Luke is a reliable supplier. I think you might still be able to get the OEM Nissan rear spoiler too; however it costs hundreds - AndrewG and Funky Si bought theirs last year. Fibre glass replicas are available (I have one fitted); they are cheaper - but don't fit quite as well and the ultimate finish is not as good either. Plus you might end up paying more to your bodyshop in labour to get it looking right - which can mitigate the cost of the OEM item a little!!

Temp gauge stuck!?
I have read in older posts, that the rings can occasionally inhibit the needle's movement.... Is the RH side of the needle fouling - even slightly - on the ring, if the internal diameter of the gauge has been compromised...?

which fuel
As said Art, mine is a UK spec...…. …..And I have heard the same also. However I have also read that the ECUs can compensate! Either way, my owners manual - and the sticker on my fuel filler cap - suggest 95 RON.

Maf
Like that one, but not that one.... There are plenty of cheap knock-off copies of the original MAF; but many throw up running issues once in service. Stick with OEM, if you want to guarantee it will work!!

which fuel
Hi and welcome - and as Andrew says, thank you for your support in subscribing! And with regards the fuel question, stick to decent quality petrol; Shell, BP, Esso, Texaco... Normal unleaded is fine for stock TT/NA cars - although a TT may run better on higher octane (super) in the hotter weather. I have a stock UK spec TT and to be honest, rarely see any benefit to super UL most of the time. I do seem to achieve more miles per tank when running on V-power; and on a hot summer's afternoon, the car feels like it accelerates faster on super, over normal UL.

What did you do to your zed today?
Yup - I know JP..... Lighting is not so good in the garage, so the 'phone pics did not do it any justice. Honest... Besides, I still haven't re-fitted the wipers yet:wink:

What did you do to your zed today?
Today, I washed my Zed in preparation for the AGM next weekend..... Then gave it a quick coat of Auto Finesse "radiance" Carnauba Crème:cool: When I got home after the Museum of Power show last weekend, I could not be bothered to swap the cars around on the drive - so I used the Zed all week. Rude not to:wink: However it was in need of a little clean this morning!!

E55 AMG comparison to Z32
I haven't - but am also a big Mercedes fan.... There was a good write-up on the E55 in Modern Classics a few months ago. They are fast, reliable cars, if looked after properly; 0-62 in circa 4.7 but 0-100 (and upwards) it will still destroy a lot of modern high-performance cars. Running costs will be higher than a Zed I'd say - thinks like AMG-spec brakes are expensive!! That said, day to day driving, I doubt it will cost more on fuel etc. Go over to the MB forums for more advice. These guys are very helpful, I have always found.... https://forums.mercedesclub.org.uk/index.php
