What did you do to your zed today?
That's what I thought...... …….But I stand corrected!! Should have read the handbook...

What did you do to your zed today?
PMSL - there was certainly more to give, but I gave in... The allure of more Nectar points won me over....

What did you do to your zed today?
….And I made it - 330 miles before brimming once more with 62.9 litres..... Can't believe Zeddy managed it...

What did you do to your zed today?
Today - after filling the tank with V-Power last Saturday - I reached 314 miles and I'm still out of the red...Just:biggrin: I call that an achievement - I rarely see more than about 275 miles to be honest; still, the real achievement will be completing a 16 mile journey in the morning and only re-fuelling upon arrival...:clover::wink:

What did you do to your zed today?

What did you do to your zed today?
We've gone for another Evoque - a 2016 model, with the new 2.0tdi Jaguar Ingenium engine and 9-speed auto. I'll post a few pics once it's home, next weekend! I parked right outside the front entrance - and despite the presence of some nice F-Type Jags and LR SVRs, the Zed got more than its fair share of attention...

Newbie looking to buy a z32 TT
Hi and welcome to the club.... …..And good luck in your search mate...:clover::thumbup:

What did you do to your zed today?
Today, I filled my Zed with V-Power, took off the Targas and went on a 220 mile round trip to Wolverhampton..... …...Not the most glamourous of destinations, I know, but it was to view a new car for Julia. And yes, it was a successful trip:cool::wink:

Standard Wheel Silver Paint
LOL - hence I'd go with my suggestion mate... Any decent wheel refurb outfit will have a "normal" shade of silver, in which they paint most wheels. Don't waste your time searching endlessly and go with it:cool:

Lakes Weekend 2019 @ Fat Lamb 23rd to 26th August
Seconded - and really sorry we couldn't make it this year.... This was a great weekend last time; and the weather is looking good once again. Enjoy folks!!!

Standard Wheel Silver Paint
Sorry - no idea.... …..But most "silver" alloys are pretty much the same colour anyway - so I'd go with whatever your wheel refurbisher would use.

Standard Radiator Cap Pressure?
The Nissan OEM cap is indeed rated at 1.2 bar. Lots of aftermarket caps are less; ranging from 0.9 to 1.1 - personally I'd stick with an OEM one! Too low a rating, and the cap will allow coolant to pass into the overflow tank at a lower pressure - so essentially no more effective than an old worn-out one.... And too high a rating could cause pressure to build in your cooling system, placing additional stress on old components!

Advice needed on a 1986 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo Japanses import
Hi and welcome Stephen - and thank you again for your support in subbing!! That does look like a tidy Zed mate; and as said earlier in your thread, get the car long to Jimmer at Powerzed, in Bristol for a full re-commissioning. Whilst routine maintenance (oil changes etc) should not be an issue for your local garage, Jimmer is the UK's Zed-Guru. He is the best person to give your car a full, honest appraisal and make sure you leave as another happy customer!!

Oh dear, what have I done? The confessions of a serial Zed offender.
I knew I'd seen that car before.... So I'm even more pleased that such a fine 'vert has found a good home... Nice to see you got a decent slot on the ferry too, Mike!! I always dread being squashed in, with Johnny-three-brats in his people carrier parked next to me; and the thought his rancid brood will fling their doors open onto my car... Fortunately I have always been lucky on the Lymington crossing - and ended up a long way away from such eventualities...

Who remembers...
I don't remember that from my own driving days - but [4-star] petrol was around 40p per litre when I began in 1987!!
-
Who remembers...
Oh yes - the pre-electronic ignition days!! I fondly remember the DIY maintenance on my first cars - the Cavalier Mk1 and Manta; setting the contact breakers...... …………..But whilst I did posses a set, I seem to remember setting the breakers using a bulb and turning the distributor until the light came on. I definitely remember using the feelers for gapping the 'plugs and adjusting the (non-hydraulic) tappets though!! All good fun though:thumbup:

Hello from belgium
Hello and welcome Werner.... Nice looking Zed you have there - and I never knew we got the Silver option in Europe....

Oh dear, what have I done? The confessions of a serial Zed offender.
Nice one Mike - great to see you're still Zedding - and what a superb example of a 'vert that is mate.... Good luck with the new toy; and just the thing for motoring around The Island:cool:

What did you do to your zed today?
Yup....

What did you do to your zed today?
Do it JP.... I think the CZP one is the same as Interior Innovations'. It's not perfect, in the same way as the OEM item - but this one feels like it's made from a better grade of plastic and it just fell into place..... They also supply the centre screw cover in a matching finish.

Hertz 6x4 rear speakers - OEM replacement
I have a pair of Hertz DCX 460.3 OEM-replacement (80w) 6x4 speakers for sale. These fit straight into the rear of a 300zx....! They are in good condition - apart from a little dust, which I shall remove:wink: - and are a very good quality replacement for the old stock items. I bought them in Oct'13 for £79.99..... Offers around the £25 mark (plus postage), if anyone is interested?
