Snob Or Slob
I'd happily shoot peasants if Julia would allow me to have a gun.......... :o If I had my gun she wouldn't stop me

rockstar
I like Nickelback and don't mind the airplay so much - it's the censoring of the words "ass" and "drugs" etc that piss me off - I mean, there's nothing to offend in the lyrics so just play them properly FFS  Richard

New Knight Rider!!
As a fellow fan of the original I have to agree with you Dave :( Richard

A little pressy for the club!! ultra cheap insurance £180 fc
I was with Carole Nash before but these guys slashed my premium with no compromise on cover. Good call on Lynbrooks atc300zx, bringing it back to the attention of the club - and this should be a sticky!! Richard :)

A little pressy for the club!! ultra cheap insurance £180 fc
I'm with Lynbrooks - recommended by Gio last year..... ......I told them my UK spec has basic mods - exhaust, air filter and wheels - and they covered me with no problems. About £200 all in IIRC, including roadside assistance/recovery! Richard :)

Thinking about changing my steering wheel.
My wheel of choice........ ........get an OEM Z32 one in excellent condition......just like mine  Richard

DEXRON II ok for auto box ???
True, and we all know what can happen to a 300zx auto gear box if it is not looked after properly........... :smash: Richard :)

A Warning
The 300zx is no more hard to handle than any other 300bhp rear wheel drive car........ .........but it is important to make sure the car is shod with very good quality tyres. If the car is a fresh import, the chances are that it was still on the crap Japanese tyres and they were probably worn to buggery as well. Glad you are OK though mate. Richard :)

£25 Congestion Charge for cars emitting 225g Co2 per km in London!!!
No I haven't! That's the one with the Chinese restaurant isn't it? I normally go to The Polecat as the food is excellent and I can walk there..... Richard :)

£25 Congestion Charge for cars emitting 225g Co2 per km in London!!!
Yup, anywhere within the M25 basically - if it's in London borough :xxx: And the fine for non-payment........£1,000  How's that going to affect food bills etc, when couriers pass the additional charge on to the shops they deliver for?? And the £25 congestion charge - it's definately revenue raising or a tax on wealth. The £8 is meant to discourage driving into London and reduce congestion - which if research is to believed - is working :wack: I'm glad I left that city 11 years ago  Richard

Best Polish on black
Interesting thread...... ......but I have a question. Does anyone know of a polish for black cars that repels grime, rain marks etc? My new car looks great when it's clean but after a few days it could do with another wash :( Richard :)

Happy Birthday RichardSmith
Thanks for the kind words, everyone...... I have had a good day, thanks! It's been warm and sunny and I took the day off work. Julia and I went to Mercedes World first thing this morning, which was quite good. I had a look round some nice AMG machinery (if only I was rich!!). Then we walked down to the Brooklands Museum nex door; which was excellent!! As well as the vintage and classic cars, they also have a Concorde (RIP :( ) which is now set up as a top notch exhibit  I can definately recommend a visit there! Richard :)

Nice Looking NSX... (F.A.O FunkySi)
I have to agree...... .....I don't like that at all; they've spoilt the car IMO :( Richard

95 million, euro millions
Can't do that; any gifts or sales of a capital asset to a connected party (other than your spouse) are deemed to be "at current market value" and subject to capital gains tax rules. Gifts or transfers between spouses are, like inheritance tax, exempt. Richard :(

M25 speed camera warning
Definately rubbish...... ......the cameras are only active when a lower restriction than 70mph is in force under the variable speed limit system that's been in place for years. Presently, when the signs are off and the normal 70 limit applies, the cameras are off too. They are NOT "presently set at 93mph" as stated above. I know this for a fact; from personal experience............. Richard :)

French Aids Posters

Euro lottery
I was in the newsagents this afternoon, in the queue behind the village postman. He was buying 50 tickets for himself.......... Mad or what? I know the jackpot is £90m+ but in all honesty are you going to win just because you buy 50 tickets?? And they were just for him as I asked if he was buying for a syndicate...... What a waste - surely a postie would have a better use for £75? Anyway, I just bought 1 lucky dip; the newsagent questioned me as if I was mad, "Only 1?" I replied "I only need the one ticket ;) " Good luck everyone :D Richard

Rear Spoiler With or Without
Hi Stuart, I've always liked your ZX mate - one of the nicest kitted examples (and that's coming from someone who prefers the stock look...... ;) ) - but I reckon it looks better without the spoiler. Much smoother and more modern IMO. Richard
