One ruined interior
I remember once seeing this M-reg Z on Auto Trader going for a reasonable price when it was nice and standard...... .......however someone has since ruined the interior with that awful "red and white gloss" makeover:hurl: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1995-RED-NISSAN-300ZX-2-2-TWIN-TURBO-T-Top_W0QQitemZ270469064529QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAutomobiles_UK?hash=item3ef9366751&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 Shame:( Richard:cry:

few questions
Welcome! It looks like you have 18 inch wheels an very low profile tyres there! So the lack of "cushion" in the rubber will contribute to a harsher ride and magnify any imperfections in the road surface! As for the fumes - petrol smell has been explained; exhaust fumes may suggest a leaky gasket somewhere. Richard:cool:

Your opinions on............
I've never really been a fan TBH. They look/sound ok but all I remember is a review in an old car magazine....... ....."looks like it should chase Porsches; but in reality barely keeps up with Mondeos"..... Not sure how true that is and I've never driven one; but that has kind of stuck with me! Richard:nelson:

door to door begging...
Funny that..... .....I have a sticker inside the door saying "Door to door sales, canvassers or collections; please do not bother knocking. Thank You!" It usually works...... .......but if not, then the severed goat's head and pentangle above the door definitely does the trick!! At least it does with the uber Churchy people that live in my village:rofl::rofl: Richard:D

FAO stella

Audi Quattro 5 cylinder

My thoughts too - Kim certainly does more for the club than, well probably, anyone!! The best choice IMO:bow: Richard:cool:

door to door begging...
I'm afraid that I would have taken that attitude; and done the very same thing as well!! I know some charities are deserving but I cannot stand the way we are emotionally bullied into giving - which is what it is nowadays. I also realize there is a recession on (duh!!), so I expect that people are giving less of their hard earned away as they struggle to make ends meet themselves. It's hard for them, but that's life so don't "rattle the can" louder as we all have less to live on at the moment. Accept it!! Richard;)

Chrysler 300C
I reckon they do look good - even if they are a little "pimp daddy" Just stick to black or gun metal grey and you won't go wrong! They're based on the previous model Mercedes E-class which is also not a bad thing! Great value for money; especially "nearly new" because they depreciate like a stone. That means you get a lot of car for your money. Engine wise, it's the Mercedes 3 litre diesel so it should be smooth, refined, fast and economical enough..... Richard:)

My First Zed!

zed or supra
It's all down to your own taste really - but you cannot beat the voice of experience! And, since he has both, I'd say Car.Mad is more than experienced to answer the question!! Nice one mate:bow: I do like the Supra (although I prefer the old school Mk3 version) but I don't think it has aged as well as the 300zx. And it was because of the 300zx that the Supra Mk4 was so good - Toyota went back to the drawing board and redesigned it after Nissan launched the ZX:D Richard;)

Occasional smoke???
As everything they will eventually wear down. The seals themselves are probably pennies..... .......but it could cost you anything up to £1000 to get the engine out and remove the turbos!! Personally, if the car is running fine, boosting well and not consuming oil like a student on the beer during happy hour; then I'd leave it. The odd puff of blue smoke will do no harm and is not enough to effect emissions at MOT time! Given the ages and mileages of most 300zxs on the road, many will have (or will soon have) the turbo seal issue! Richard:cool:

Anyone had snow yet......?
LOL at the replies......;) No; definitely snow! I woke Julia up and she could not believe it either. She was planning a day off work due to bad weather:rofl: Richard:p

Anyone had snow yet......?
Mad I know..... ....but I woke at 3am today to answer a call of nature (must be my age. Or the beer:p) and whilst in the bathroom with the lights off, I noticed an eerie blue/white glow through the patterned glass. Can't be snow I thought; so (once finished, of course) I went into the back bedroom and looked out of the window, only to see my garden dusted in the white stuff. Out the front too, the pavements and grass verges were white:eek: It was gone by morning though; but it's only October:smash: Richard:wack:
