Long day on the road tomorrow......
I normally spend my working days in the office, but tomorrow I have to visit a customer to resolve a dispute. I have an 11 o'clock meeting with the client on site................ .........in the southern Lake District!! I have a meeting of an hour or so - but a round trip of over 500 miles!!! I guess I should have an early night:sleeping: Richard:closedeyes:

waiting for spring
I still tax mine for a year anyway - that way if I'm tempted to use it occasionally during the winter it's nice and legal....... .....after all you pay to insure it for a year !! Richard:cool2:

Congratulations to the 300zx forum members
Nice one Jeff - it's also nice that they make the effort to respond to things like that. From my own experience only the NSPCC has ever acknowledged my corporate donations in the past....... And once again, a big thanks to Jeff, Jamie and Lynda for organizing the Christmas event! I look forward to the next one.... Richard:cool2:

Welcome to the club mate! You've come to the right place for all your 300zx needs..... .......Whereabouts in Herts are you? I'm in Buckinghamshire, so not that far away; always good to see another fairly local Z! Richard:cool3:

New topless Nissan
That's much cleaner than what they have already done - less fussy; and better, I reckon...... .....much in the same way a stock Z32 is simple and uncluttered; and, above all, it has aged well:cool3: Richard:batman:

after a month out in the cold, IT LIVES!
Nice one Dave - see, the ZX is a reliable car really!! I haven't used mine since 4 January; although that was the return drive from Cornwall were it performed faultlessly for 1000 miles or so!! My SLK has been standing since before Christmas as I didn't want to use it in the snow. I hope that works OK when I take it our for a spin later this afternoon:blink: Richard:thumbup1:

Man Made Climate Change - A Proven Fraud!
Two sensible statements (although, as I've previously said, I personally don't believe any of the man made climate change propaganda shoved in our faces at every opportunity;)). The reality is, you and I will never know the real truth; we can simply just make up our own minds from what "evidence" is presented to us. The debate will just rage on..................... Most memorable thread.
My two favourites as well.......

New topless Nissan
Does look nice.......:thumbup1: .....and whilst it's cheaper than a Boxster or SLK I'd not say it's better!! Porsche & Merc are much better build quality & finish (as you'd expect for the money). Plus the German cars were designed from the ground up as roadsters; whereas the 370z is compromised, since it is a coupe with the roof chopped off! For £29k I'd buy a 2 year old SLK350 (ahem:innocent:) or Boxster S over a new 370z - PaulC is right about the metal roof! But then I am biased............ Richard:biggrin:

Trains are just awesome these days!
I have to admit - I quite enjoy train travel........ .......first class all the way for me as well! I cannot stand being herded along with everyone else!!! And first class on the Eurostar is even better. Free wine or champagne and meals searved "properly" Richard:cool2:

newbie to be
Welcome to the club mate..... .......that's a tidy 350z; good luck with the sale! I know of Crest Cars BTW - I live about 8 miles from them. All I can say, is that I looked at a late UK spec he had some 8 months ago now. And I wasn't really impressed. Saying that I believe he has had one or two nice examples pass through his hands; albeit at premium price. And I hear he was not too keen on negotiating either..... My advice - buy one off a forum member! Richard:cool2:

Crossing the Border
You understand correctly Dave....... ......welcome to Blair's Britan of the 21st century. Makes you proud doesn't it? Richard:no:

What did I do.......?
Yep - that was my initial thought!! Good point - but I believe I'd have been able to stop safely. Upon venturing into the right lane I "tested he water" so to speak. There was only a light dusting of snow on the carriageway; not a total white-out. Acceleration/steering/braking functioned normally and all indications led me to believe the car would have gripped and stopped like on a wet road. Plus it was a straight dual carriageway and it was otherwise bright & sunny with good visibility. I was driving within the capabilities of the vehicle and making sufficient allowance for the prevailing conditions! Exactly guys! That's what I thought and didn't rise to his childish behaviour. It's not worth it.......:1eye: Richard:cool3:

ebayer con beware
Quite right there Graham; also the bad weather has not helped either. Whilst it may not actually have held up post/deliveries, you can bet that the PO and various couriers will use it as an excuse if they have not performed! Also this is really a private matter between Syko and the E-bay seller; in which 300zx.co.uk will not get involved. I hope this is simply the case, Syko, and that you get the matter resolved ASAP. For the present though, I have removed the seller's real name & e-mail address as I do not think it's appropriate to post it on a public internet forum right now. Richard
