  1. Nice one Phill - get some pics up when you can buddy!! Richard:cool2:
  2. Hi all, Julia and I are off to the Peak District this weekend; can anyone recommend some "must see" places to visit as we're not that familiar with the area....? We're staying at Ashford in The Water, near Bakewell. Oh and the ZX will be coming along as well.......! Richard:thumbup1:
  3. That sounds very negative..... ....but from my own experience it's sadly true! Most companies still have dinosaurs working there (I know - I'm one; and a very senior and influential one at that); and we (sorry, I mean they) still like to rely on paper records as a back up! Coupled with the fact that many companies may have tried and failed; so all of your incoming post still comes in paper format. Plus in the consturction industry, several large contractors (Carillion, Balfour Beatty et al) still send out their JCT contracts on paper for approval and signature. The former's often run into 100s of pages per project; now I'm not wasting any employee's time in separating and scanning those documents!!! IMO the paperless office can only work once every other business has adopted it. Richard:blink:
  4. Many happy returns mate - hope you had a great day! Richard:happybday:
  5. I have to agree mate..... .......decent tyres are a must on a high performance car so I never skimp on rubber!! Those 4 black round things can mean the difference between life and death..... Richard:thumbup1:
  6. Ditto..... ....have a :duffer: or two for me guys!! Richard:cool2:
  7. Hey Peter, That is just absolutely amazing mate!!!!! I love it - and would love to see it in the flesh!! Shame you're so far away.... Richard:bow::bow::bow:
  8. Supply and demand....LOL Seriously though - unless your car is running extremely high boost then I'd have thought you should be fine with another super unleaded. Or if you have a UK spec car normal unleaded is fine - especially as the ambient temperature is still low at this time of year. Richard:cool2:
  9. Looks like we'll have to get TurboZ on the case mate! Znut has sent out a request for his help..... Richard:donatello:
  10. Sounds like your membership renewal was not properly re-activated Mikey..... Richard
  11. Hi Mikey, I have no idea why that should be mate! Graham (Groover) and I are on the case and hopefully we'll get it sorted. One way or another!! Richard:euro:
  12. Yup - I'm with Lynbroooks and they were the cheapest by far for me as well! Otherwise, Carole Nash are not bad either! I pay £200, agreed value, slight mods (exhaust/filter/wheels), 3000 miles PA.... Oh - and try Adrian Flux too - he's a trader on here. Good luck, Richard
  13. Aside from the work you have already done....... .......unless you have a convertible (which was never available in TT format) then I'd not bother paying to convert an NA; I'd just sell it and buy a TT. But, like I said, that's not taking into account the work you have done on your car to date. Richard:shaun:
  14. Yup - I have to agree with Graham...... ......each and every oil change I have given my mechanic a 4 litre container of oil and it all goes in. The dipstick shows full - but usually after about 1/2 hour or so. It can take that long for the oil to drain back into the sump and the level settle out..... That's on a UK spec TT auto BTW...... Richard:cool2:
  15. I'd suggest calling Zedworld as well...... ....as said, they are always pretty busy and Jeff/Jamie do not always get the opportunity to come on the forum and check PMs or e-mails every day. Richard:cool3:
  16. I haven't watched it for a long time now TBH..... .....but that doesn't stop me looking for the results as they come in!! Richard:hammer:
  17. Now you're testing my memory mate - that was a long time ago for me!! I'd have the discussion with your own insurers first; if you have no joy then look up the MIB on the 'net and contact them directly. ATB Richard:cool3:
  18. Big stores will often take unopened returns and give you a refund if you have the original receipt. As it's only a couple of weeks ago, I'd give it a try. Even if you don't get a refund, I'm sure you could at least get store credit..... Richard:thumbup1:
  19. Sorry to hear that Jaz. But I'm glad you're OK though. As for the insurance - as soon as you can get the car to their recommended repairer then you will get a courtesy car. It's usually provided FOC by the garage so really it's nothing to do with the insurer. Secondly, if you were hit by an uninsured driver, get straight onto the Motor Insurance Bureau. They have an unofficial "fund" for helping out motorists in this situation. Back in my teens I was forced off the road by an uninsured/untracable driver and I only had 3rd party cover. My insurers couldn't help me; however because I had a couple of witnesses who were able to corroborate my story, the insurance company put me onto the MIB. Long story short, I didn't lose out in the end. But it did take some time though..... Good luck mate - I hope you get it sorted. Richard:thumbup1:
  20. PhilP has a set of 350z wheels on one of his cars mate..... Looks dead good IMO! http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=207 Richard:yes:
  21. I don't understand; what it is about women and Zs..... ......Julia is always first to make derogatory comments about my Z as well....:asshole: What I reckon, is that they cannot stand having to compete for our attention!!! Jeaslousy; that's what it is.........:pinch: Richard:euro:
  22. Looking tidy under there Daz...... .....and I also prefer the UK spec indicators. The crystal ones just don't seem to match the other lights and look out of place IMO! Richard:cool3: PS - Hellraiser - I like your new sig!:whistling:
  23. That would be funny mate!!! Richard:punk:
  24. Many happy returns Trish..... Hope you have a good day!! Richard:happybday:
  25. WooHoo.....At last Craig!! Seriously though - that is a very nice zed and I hope it serves you well mate! Welcome back to the fold... Richard:chef:
