  1. Hi all, I just thought I'd share this - although it's not that bad!! I went to the dentist this morning as I'd had the misfortune to break a filling. A rather large filling on a rear molar; anyway - the dentist advised me that it was not worth re-filling it. Plus he thought that to root-fill and crown it would be a waste of time and money too; especially as I have a wisdom tooth coming through right nest to it. So his opinion was to remove the offending tooth:gun_bandana: 2 injections to numb the area and I didn't feel a thing....... ......as he grabbed it with the "pliers" and yanked on the tooth for 10 minutes:ohmy: Fortunately I heal quickly and despite the anasthetic wearing off hours ago I'm in no pain. I have to hand it to my dentist - he does a superb job! I really didn't feel the injection or the extraction........ .....BUT I have this sodding great hole where the tooth once was so I must make sure I get no bits of food stuck there over the next couple of days. And I have to eat on one side of my mouth as a precaution - which really sucks as I cannot taste my food properly that way. Oh, and if I want an implant (to fill the gap) once the gum has healed, my dentist will do it for me. For £1500:w00t: So you've been warned - don't upset me over the next few days as I may be a little over-zealous on a certain button!!!:ban: Richard:tank:
  2. I agree.....:rofl::rofl: Richard:tt2:
  3. Not cheeky at all mate - you're right! I haven't!! I guess I just judged it by the photos and thought the worst. Still as Gary said, the air bag didn't go off so it couldn't have been to harsh an inpact. Still, I understand fully why you're doing it and I hope you find a good'un Richard;)
  4. I don't know Allan - I reckon you may be lucky to have been outbid on that one mate! That M3 looks like a lot of work to fix; I'm sure you'll find a better one that's an easier fix than that. Good luck in your hunting..... Richard:cool3:
  5. Exactly what my learned friends said - yes, it was funny. However all things considered it wasn't really suitable viewing for the forums. Even the off topic section. Let's not forget that Little Harry is a subbed member and his folks may not consider that vid appropriate for him to watch! Yes, I realize that as a car forum, all users should be adults; but that may not always be the case. Plus some people may have taken offence....... Sorry guys - hope you understand! Still, if you want to PM each other with the link then all is not lost! Richard:)
  6. Amen to that Gary! Although I don't specifically hate the winter; it just goes on for too long. And I prefer the lighter evenings....:cowboy: Julia and I went down to Bath for the day today and it seemed everyone else in the country was having a lie in; to avoid losing their hour's sleep. It was great - empty roads, shops and restaurant!!! And the weather stayed quite pleasant too..... Richard:cool2:
  7. Nice one Allan..... ......funny how something so simple fixed a problem you'd been living with because you didn't know it was there:sorcerer: Richard:cool3:
  8. Nice one Dave...... ......and good luck with the sale! Richard:thumbup1:
  9. I wouldn't hane thought so mate...... Richard:surrender:
  10. LOL - an Italian TR7...... Richard:oops:
  11. That.... .....and isn't "Loaf o' Bread" also cockney rhyming slang for head.....? So "use your loaf" = "use your head" IE think!!! Richard:1eye:
  12. That is excellent news Martin and Si:punk: I must admit I didn't think it would turn up - not only did it arrive, but it was on time as well!! So 2 gold stars for the Royal Mail. Richard:clap:
  13. Good point Gaz - I had GSD3 Goodyears once; and whilst the grip was briliant, they only lasted 5 minutes!!! Not sure how the new Asymetrics will last though - but I'll let you know in 4000 miles:oops: The FAlkens do get good reviews and they're not too pricey either so I reckon a good call mate! Richard:biggrin:
  14. Yup - spot on! And using my sat nav, the speedo is bang on until about 90mph, and even then it's only 2mph out.... ......not on the UK's public roads though:smartass: Richard:cool3:
  15. Yup - I agree there's your problem! I have 265/35/18 rears and 225/40/18 fronts - the latest Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymetrics - on my Z and they are truly excellent in all conditions (so far - not tried the Z in the snow.....:whistling:) I can highly recomend them; they're not cheap though:1eye: Richard:cool3:
  16. Exactly - cheap and nasty! 2 options; 1 = cheapest is the poly bush route. MJP can supply them or JeffTT does a supply & fit for £130 plus VAT. 2 = buy these from Luke: http://www.zcentre.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?cPath=21_28_58&products_id=473 I had them fitted to my red ZX and they were fine..... Richard:cool3:
  17. Good!! I thought I'd just confirm what you were already thinking......:innocent: Richard:thumbup:
  18. Hey Si, Other than leave it alone....... ......I would stick with the white - perhaps the Lexus pearl if you must change it; then go 99-spec front and BBS wheels. And that is all! Richard:sorcerer:
  19. Have a good one mate! Richard:cowboy:
  20. LOL; I know mate - that's what I implied. Now where did I leave that lid....... .......ohhhhh no! Too late - the worms have started to escape......:boat: Richard:scooter:
  21. I understand Phil.... Richard:cool2:
  22. LOL - yes; it would torque steer into the side of you!!! I had a tussle with a VXR about 3 years ago when I had my old SLK. In a rolling start from about 40mph on a dual carriageway he couldn't pull ahead of me - and my old SLK was just the 230 kompressor!!! My current 350SLK would easily stuff a VXR and I don't think the Z would do badly either...... But a for the original question - a 450bhp Punto would probably waste a lot of supercars; let alone a ZX......:whistling: Richard:cool3:
  23. Me too - it looks fantastic mate!! I reckon you need another garage now though..... ......or are you going to selling another Z.....:whistling: Richard:cool3:
  24. Cool...... .....if those walls could talk, eh mate!! Richard:cool3:
  25. Nice one mate - good luck in your new house..... .......So are there any cells below?? Richard:donatello:
